I put them directly into small cups filled with a light compost mix after a 30 second soak, then covered each cup with a food bag poking 3 holes in the top and placed them in my airing cuboard 24 hour darkness, took around two weeks between germination and what I consider the first true day of veg.
Easing them in under the 250 watt setting, misting them lightly along with water feeding around 200-300ml every 2-3 days.
Not a fan of the compost I used to sprout in but Sohums living soil is too hot too start.
