Light distance: 24 inches, running the LED at 40% power in the first week. 23 May, 7.30pm put the seed in tissue and water 25 May, 11am, germinated seed went into soil. 26 May, 11am - one day after going into the soil as a seed with a slight white bump on its side (barely a root) it is now breaking the surface. Incredible speed. In this diary, day 1 is May 26, as it breaks the surface

At the start of Week 1, I increased the power of the LED light to 100%. Bit controversial, but I've seen some grows with high yields running 100% with the SF1000, at 18inch height, from week one. So I decided 23-24inch might be a safer compromise. Watered on Day 10, added H&G Soil A+B in 0.5ml in a liter. Watered on Day 14, added H&G Soil A+B in 0.5ml in a liter. On Day 14, I re-potted into a 5 gallon plastic pot.

I started LST on Day 21. I think I should have started the day after re-potting, day 16. The trunk is incredibly thick and hard to bend. This is my first attempt with LST. I'm using only a small amount of the recommended H&G nutrients because the soil is Canna Terra Pro, and should be sufficient. Any added nutrient is probably overkill. It's cold, and getting down quite low over night - the only think keeping the plant warm is the light. I check at odd hours of the night, it's rarely below 17-18C fortunately. There is a little clawing on one side. I believe that's because of the fan, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

It's back on a 24/0 light cycle because the days have been cold and the light keeps the plant at about 22C during the middle of the day. The light has been at 17 inches above the top leaves this week. Today I'm going to lower it to about 14-15 inches, in accordance to the manual that came with the spider farmer light I'm using. I got my hands on a cloth pot, so the poor plant was re-potted again a few days ago .. but it looks extremely healthy to me. It's like a wild shrub. This is my first grow, and I'm probably not doing LST properly. I'm just trying to get as much light into the tiny leaves that are growing in the undergrowth. But she's a short, stubby plant at this stage with a remarkably thick trunk. There's an explosion of tiny branches going on beneath the foliage that the photos don't really show. I've scoured through grow diaries of other Fastbuds Green Cracks and my plant looks typical of the genetics. Though she seems to have larger fan leaves at the bottom than most. Most other grows of Fastbuds Green Crack are also similarly messy shrubs at this stage too, so I'm not too concerned about it. Overall it feels like it's going well.

This is my first grow. And this week I finally googled 'defoliating' and 'trimming' :) Yes, this is way overdue with this plant - lesson learned. The plant is basically a wild shrub. On day 33 I finally started trimming some leaves. I really did my best but I'm new to this. I'm okay with the plant yield not being the biggest - i really don't need more than 2-3 good colas. That said, I don't like to do anything badly. Next time I'll be on this issue earlier - especially with this strain, because Green Crack is really a dense plant compared to others. Since the trimming, she seems to be doing fine. Today is another watering day; she gets only water and 'ozi magic monsta bud'. My gut feeling is she needs a rest from fertilizers, the leaves feel very soft and rubbery, but bear in mind I'm pretty inexperienced and generally don't know what im doing :).

It feels like a very hearty, healthy plant. Dense foliage, and robust considering the crazy night time drops in temperature. Two mornings this week it dropped to 6-7C but the plant seems happy and lush. No issues I don't think. This is the first week of flower.

MASSIVE COLD SNAP HERE! This has been a small plant because it's been so cold, and I've been unable to do much about where she's been kept. Fortunately I figured out a way to get her warm. She'll still have a decent enough yield for me. She's been very hardy considering the volatile swings in temperature. 5C-19C most days. Three days difference between day 46 and 49. Looks like a completely different plant now. There was a massive cold snap. She was not happy at all. it know she is small but it's the coldest winter here in 30 years. I haven't been trimming this plant enough. It's my first, and I'm learning (!) She now has 16 flowers though, and I'm figuring out which leaves need to go, and have tied a few branches together so each flower gets almost equal exposure to light. I found a way to bring the tent inside, so next week the temperature range will be like 18-20C.

This plant small, due to the coldest winter in decades, but she's wild. My first plant, I'm still learning how to defoliate leaves. I keep under-doing it. Still, she's well trimmed now and as far as I can see, all the buds are getting light now.

This plant is AMAZING. I had to defoliate again yesterday. She grows so quickly. This is my first grow, but I'm just trying to keep the buds exposed to as much light as possible. I've decreased the fertilizer this week to 1ml/L, because I think she's getting into her final three weeks.

This week, battling humidity. 80% in the tent. I have fans blasting it though, and have defoliated extensively on day 70. But Greek Crack (and perhaps because of the cold in its earlier development) is a shrubby bush. The leaves are densely packed. She's hard to trim. That said, I'm having a blast.

It's a tough job keeping this plant defoliated. It grows back fast, in a matter of a few days. It's really dense foliage and feels healthy as hell.

Finally got the humidity down into a safe place. Took some engineering but hopefully there's no budrot hiding in this plant. Looks fine on that front. crossing fingers. Best I can tell as a novice, ten more days? Anyone disagree or wanna chime in?

@MANIIAKSINDUBS, thanks man. she's going well, considered the massive cold spell we had, and now the humidity of 80% that im fighting with fans until my dehumidifier arrives. Crossing fingers nothing goes wrong in her last days.

@whatdisorder, That's not a bad temperature. Here there is too hot, 35C and more. That's not good for the green girls.

@@agora, thanks, yeah i'll post pics tomorrow but it's turning into a 'wild-looking shrub'! im sort of excited about it because it's winter here and the temp is rarely above 22C but its somehow thriving.

@TinyTenter, thanks man! this is my first grow, but next time im going to buy those General Hydroponics nutes that you used. They're expensive here, so i went with House and Garden, but I just see amazing grows done with 'em, and growweedeasy recommends them, too, and i figure, might as well. BTW i liked your grow diary for green crack a lot, though i only found it like two days ago. you did an outstanding job, there. Here, I've been battling really cold temperatures (down to 9 degrees Celsius over night in the tent) and strange swings of humidity (and, frankly, you can't buy a dehumidifier anywhere, ever since the floods last year). But despite all the challenges of this grow, this strain, Fastbuds Green Crack just keeps rocking. She's not at all a huge plant, but I'm a lightweight who doesn't need much. But though I'm not an expert, the genetics seem awesome. She just thrives. I have defoliated her quite a lot in the past, and four days later you wont even know. My next grow is either Fastbuds Purple Lemonade, or Barney's Farm Wedding Cake (Photo). It's a hell of a lot of fun, isn't it? Good luck with your grows man. Cheers.
