Soaked in shot glass in dark room for about 16 hours until they fell to bottom. Next was paper towel method in dark room for another 30 hours or so until 4 of 5 had 1/4in tap root and the other 1 had just cracked. Photo shows only 2 seeds.

@TL_GROWS, Personally, I prefer to germinate directly in the medium since it has less risk of damaging the taproot. But give it another couple of days to see what happens.

@love_2_grow, thank you. I germinated them already with a decent taproot and after planting 2 days ago I donβt see anything coming from the soil :(

@TL_GROWS, Patience, young grasshopper. I have no experience in growing outdoors but I doubt that the germination rate is much different than indoors. it can take more than a couple of days. I've had seeds that took five days to germinate, so give it another couple of days.
