Last year I stuck some plants in the ground too early and we had a 2 week long frost late in May. I wrapped them up but the only one to really survive and flourish was a Peyote Critical. When I harvested her, instead of the roots spreading out like normal there was a 24" tap root running 2" under the grass straight toward a black compost bin and forking toward another compost bin in picture 2.
I got 8oz off it and it was a beautiful smoke, uplifitng and strong without couchlock. Pictures 4 + 5 are from just before cropping last October.
So this year I moved the compost bin and stuck another Peyote Critical in it's place. She's 14 weeks old and gonna be a beast, if the weather is ok. I mixed in some bonemeal, mycorrhizal and guana when I planted her and occasionally chuck a bit of magnesium her way but the rest is down to nature.
We've had a couple of heatwaves in England, many days over 86F. Lots of people are moaning about the effect on their gardens, not me! I've been feeding them with the RO water from my fish tank water changes and spraying them once a day with a bit of silicon solution. It could all go wrong tomorrow, or if October is wet I will lose some product but at the moment, they look f*cking beautiful!
2nd plant is Alaskan Purple, it smells a bit in the still air but the neighbours are cool
I cut this bad girl down over the stage of a month, the first 30% came off after a branch snapped. This is now 30 day cured and heavy af. Pictured is the last bits just dried, curing process started so I'm really looking forward to trying it as it looks like dynamite x
I would recommend this strain outdoors in northern europe, it's ready by 17th oct each year and very little rot despite a late deluge of rain in the last few days of flowering.
