Bought this strain to help my brother in law get started growing. It was one he picked out. He passed on May 3rd. So I named this one after him and will share it with family in his honor, that’s the plan.
This diary is starting into week three of seed burial day. I wasn’t sure she would even get started due to the massive amounts of rain we have had in the last three weeks, but she popped and held on. She started very thin because of too much water and lack of sun, and now there is no rain and nothing but extreme sunny days. One extreme condition to the other and she’s doing very well. I’ll give her a ten out of ten on the genetics for being tough and surviving the birth.
All organic grow outside. My nutrients will be a blend of self concoctions using all natural ingredients. I will bend, break, and shape her so she can reach for the sky and produce beautiful baby flowers. First time to grow this strain, but am no stranger to the breeders. Wish me luck.
She’s in the ground on Father’s Day. I think she likes the new place. I swear she grew overnight. I thought that maybe the shock of moving might slow her down, but I’m pretty sure she adjusted very well overnight.
I bent her a week ago and she held her new direction of growth. When I put her the ground I used the bent direction to face the top to great the morning sun, she really likes that.
This is a fast growing plant. She’ll get 9 hours of direct sun, then a break from the heat with shade until the sun sets. In this heat, it needs it. Wish us luck! The best to all growers.
What a trooper. This girl is still stretching after a full week of stress. I have readjusted her to bend Eastwards towards the morning sun at least twice this week. It has rained heavily on her three separate nights, high wind, and temperatures during the days that have reached 107 degrees Fahrenheit. Now she gets a break, a cool front has moved in with highs of 70 to 80 for the next three days. I’m not planning on bending her anymore for now. I’m just going to allow her to grow stress free with the nice weather and stretch towards the sun.
Thank you for the nice comments, I want to respond, but I’m having issues with my email and GD allowing me to respond. I love seeing all the growers and their success. Most of all I really love the fact that so many people are growing and consuming a natural plant for health and happiness. Sharing your grow experiences promotes others to try. Peace to all!
It’s been a long week of hot days and storms. I like growing outside because the conditions season the girls and builds strong plants. The flip side of doing that is the heat can cause stress and genetic issues like hermies. I have had that happen on past grows a few years back on others strains and breeders. Hoping for that not to happen this time. I usually don’t start anything this last in the season, but it is what it is. I like to try new strains, new breeds, and just try different growing techniques. I have been growing for many years, but I’m still learning.
She has started her pre-flower stage. I’m pretty stoked about that. Just curious about how big she will get since she is an early bloomer. Not looking for a big plant, we need to stay discreet.
One last trim and bend , then we let her grow. Sunrise July 4th.
Two weeks since last posting. My how everything changes in two weeks. No more rains, just extreme heat and bugs everywhere.
This girl is holding her own very well. I am impressed with her stamina. Frosty white trichomes are already all over the baby flowers and sugar leaves. The smell is sweet skunky stank. Definitely Indica dominance in her genes. LST is paying off, she keeps stretching her side branches towards the sky while the main cola leans East towards the rising sun. She gets shade late in the day which is probably what is saving her from burning up.
Easy to grow so far with just a little watering every few nights after the sun goes down.
Running way behind on the diary. Greg is growing vertically and all buds point to heaven. Stinky, sticky, and growing in intensive heat conditions. Bugs are sticking to her and we aren’t even close to harvest yet. This isn’t going to be a big producer, but it is going to be great.
She might just be to the end this week. I think she’s giving me all she can. The intense heat is just too much. I will get out the jewelers loupe and see what the trichomes look like. The fan leaves are dying off and she smells wonderful.
