Both popped in 3 days, for me it's usually 4-5. Hopefully a good sign. Starting these ladies indoors to get a head start before moving them outside for the summer. I had a great returns from last years inaugural grow and as a result, I've become dependent on having my own home grown supply. Late flowering bud rot nearly ruined everything last year, I hope these strains are more resistant.

Natasha (WW) is in a 25 gallon fabric pot filled with ProMix HP and a little extra perlite. Dax (MAC) is in the ground with a little ProMix from being transplanted. Both girls have been mainlined, so far for 32 colas, I'll top them again at some point for 64 but probably stop there June 23 - topped Dax again, about half already had uneven node spacing and I dont know how that will affect the topping so this will be the last round, 64 colas will have to do...took 4 of the cuttings to make another futile attempt at cloning, trying soil this time

Did some supercropping to spread out Dax and Natasha, it worked beautifully for the latter, not so much the former. I did Dax the day after Natasha, maybe it went so well with Natasha that I was too forceful with Dax. The branches that were hanging past 90° I changed the tie from holding it down to holding it up so water and nutrients aren't impeded while it forms a knuckle.

Think I overdid it with the supercropping. The worst branches hang below 90° but the growth seems healthy, everything turned up towards the sun the next day. I changed the worst so they're supported and less than 90°. Is there more I can do? A way to avoid splitting the skin ?

you did it well if especially the leaves are looking healthy and towards the sun. you might wanna get rid of those twisty ties after a while because they may constrict the stems as this is an outdoor grow i’m sure the stems on the gals wil get extra thick. next time to avoid splitting the skin you gotta pinch and massage slowly until the stem under the skin turns into a mushy consistency. then you can bend more easily and i find watering them the day before helps with keeping the stems intact. drier plants break more easily ime. and 90 degrees is fine for super cropping. i even go lower, bend it almost straight downwards and they jump back up in just a couple of days. just tie them in the position you like them to hold and they’ll be fine with 90-120-150 whatever haha

I know the importance of keeping a uniform canopy height when mainlining indoors but does it matter outdoors? Is the sunlight strong and mobile enough to distribute the light evenly or should I do my best to keep the canopy level?

Not as important outdoors unless you are trying to keep it low and out of sight. Since the sun moves and sunlight penetrates much better, it is not necessary to have an even canopy outdoors. You can do it if you want to, the plant won't mind, but it isn't essential.... Killer looking plant though, well done!

Well, mainline is established for both girls - (approx) 64 tops each. I cant promise I'll be able to resist the urge to do some FIMming to the inner colas along the way, I just love pinching the tip and seeing how many branches it splits into :-) The hubs are solid, nice and thick. I hope the upper branches strengthen with the wind and rain, as it is they'll need extensive supporting and that can be a huge pain in the ass. I've been circling the idea of Kyle Kushman's Chiropractic Supercropping, my only worry is that I often tear the outer skin, leaving her vulnerable to infection. Hmmmmmm...

Both girls are doing great, couldn't be happier. Now that I've finished topping them, they seem to be growing much faster (makes sense) I'm hoping they get taller before it's time to do any lollipopping, especially Dax since shes so low to the ground lol I took 4 cuttings from each girl for clones a few weeks ago, 4/4 success with Dax and 0/4 with Natasha. These were the first clones I've had root successfully so it could be me. I know WW is supposed to be great for cloning so I'll be trying again. ***I had NO success cloning until I started making my 45° cut under water to prevent air embolism*** I've hardly seen this mentioned online and only tried it because I remembered an OG grower 25 years ago showing me how he cloned. It seems to have made a difference. I had tried using rockwool, peat pellets, soil, water and water with growth hormone - none worked. This time I used Promix HP and some cloning powder and am super stoked that I now have a MAC mother.

These brown patches appeared in the last 24 hours. It rained heavily during that time. Any ideas what the issue is or what to do to treat it and/or avoid spreading?

All is well, both girls are loving the summer sun, almost as much as I hate it. Growth has been great, did some defoliating on Natasha's bottom and midsection, just to get more air and light in there....I wanna/will do the same with Dax, it's just a pain in the ass being so low to the ground...not to mention my policy against breaking a sweat...

Growing like the proverbial weed....I still cant get over how much faster the growth is now that I've stopped topping them. I realize that sounds stupid but it seemed like they were already growing fast while they were being topped regularly. I continue to pick off the bigger fan leaves, especially in the center to encourage air flow and the inward facing leaves to get more light penetration. Once the stretch hits they're gonna be huge :-D July 27 - defol and early lollipopping, heavy for Natasha, light for Dax

I keep plucking the big fan leaves and it seems they grow back the next day. I keep removing leaves/sucker branches/low bud sites as I spot them. Other than that, just waiting for the flowering to start...

Couldn't be happier with the growth so far. Dax has especially taken off, the extra room for roots in the ground paying off. The trade off is that its a pain in my fat ass getting low enough to do proper pruning. So I wont be lollipopping Dax as much as Natasha, just as Natasha has been getting heavier defoliation. Flowering should begin soon, I still dont understand how it begins in mid August when they're still getting 14+ hours of sunlight... Aug 9 - schwazzed the shit outta Natasha, the key is to keep the mantra forefront in your mind "cut til you're scared" ....I predict she'll be bushy as ever within a week

Both girls are flourishing:-) everything is going as well as possible at this point, I'm sure theres drama on the horizon lol Gonna schwazz Natasha early next week, 3 weeks after the first round. Natasha still needs some pruning and another round of defoliation

Unless you have a really close up photo off the eggs and talk to some locals aorund you it will be hard to identify. I am with the others who commented to pick them off and destroy them. eggs are always laid aorund a food source, be it the plant "pests" or the pests on the plant "predators" hopefully they are not ladybugs, do a quick google on lady bug eggs to confirm and if its a nop destroy. Or put it in a jar and see what hatches, can always feed them the weird leaves that fall off the plant. Good Luck! === Seems I have a fake troll account trying to cause shit by emulating me. They even went as far as to copy my profile picture and response to there troll lol. Someone sure is but hurt. m"Q"use is not @m0use Q vs 0. Gave Natasha her 2 and final round of schwazzing along with a little pruning. She's got little buds already so I'm not expecting a lot of leaf growth after this, she should be focusing on the buds after growing out what leaves were spared the bloodbath. Both girls have a nice smell left on my fingers after feeling the buds but nothing strong or distinctive yet Aug 29 - torrential downpour snapped a large branch off Dax, about 20% of the plant :-(

Lost a big chunk of Dax in a storm last week. I knew I would lose something over the season, it just gets too windy in my backyard. Still plenty left, my only worry is the chance of infection while the wound was fresh. I had late season bud rot last year and have no desire to see that happen again.

Noticed this split at the base of Natasha's mainline. I don't think it's getting any bigger but I'm not sure. Should I cover the opening with tape to try and keep out water/bacteria? Ziptie around the stem to prevent further splitting?

Do not put tape on it, this can cause excess moisture to form and lead to fungal disease. Putting a zip tie around can choke the stem and kill the plant above it in time. My advice would be to do nothing. Supporting the branches growing above this section of stem may help to prevent further splitting, if you feel as though you must do something.

Nothing new to report, just hoping it doesnt rain as much as last year and cause some bud rot... Sep 21 - found several small patches of botrytis on a Bubba Kush I planted late in the season....had to chop her about 2 weeks early :-( I doubt I'll get anything smokable but I can always find something to use it for....I've decided to stop of nutrients for Natasha abd Dax in cslase I have to cut them early also

Past 2 nights have gone down below 4 degrees (Celsius) and hardly a day goes by without some rain :-( I've learned to spot the bud rot early at least, wherever there's a patch of discoloured and/or wilted leaves, chances are some rot is in there. When i find some, i cut out the branch - Dax is too early to keep, Natasha is a little early but still some nice buds, definitely worth keeping....it looks like I'll be harvesting gradually as I find the rot rather than waiting another week or two as I had originally hoped

Mystery strain, pretty sure its Strawberry Cookies https://supersativaseedclub.com/cannabis-seeds/strawberry-cookies.html#/26-seeds-3_feminized_seeds Hairs are still yellow but trichomes are mostly opaque with 5-10% amber. Harvest now or will buds still swell/ripen?

I'm in the middle of harvesting Natasha, her trikes are opaque with a smattering of amber so a little early but it keeps me ahead of the bud rot and by the time I'm done with Natasha, Dax should be close to ready. I've found some tiny patches of rot in Natasha but way less than I expected with the bullshit weather in the Ottawa valley, I'm impressed.

Great strain, great growth, easily trained, withstood freak hurricane with no damage. Finally dried yield was 302g bud and a half a garbage bag of trim/larf for winter cooking/chemistry. Using a half pound Grove bag for curing this year - these things are a total game changer, no need to burp 40 mason jars twice a day like last year
