I'm feeling very discouraged with my grow attempts, as I haven't been able to get anything off and running. I know it's a learning process, and that's fine, but I hope to start seeing some results. I know hydro is more complicated and way less forgiving.
Recently, I finally figured out that on my first grow attempt, I got some bad root rot, so my subsequent attempts suffered the same demise. I did a purge and a deep clean. I REALLY hope that this attempt can jump off, although I'm already seeing some issues with the leaves. I'm trying to be clean and conservative with my nutes. My goal is stay positive, vigilant, and patient. Special thanks to those of you who have given me some great advice thus far. I'm very anxious about keeping this diary public, as it outlines my mistakes, but hopefully I can learn from them :)
Keep the diary public man! You’ll get hell! I had a ton of mistakes during my first run and got lots of advice that helped if not saved my grow.. good luck!!!
You could try bending those top ones, tie them down so they grow at an angle. I had to supercrop mine and while it did take longer to harvest, I don't think it effected the overall outcome.once those tops start cooking, they will only get worse as they get taller.good luck!
@BeefWellingtons, hey man!!! So they've been flowering for a bit now - they haven't been growing vertical for weeks now, only getting fatter :D I wouldn't wanna stress em at all at this stage. I was doing a bunch of tying down and super cropping to get to clear space to this point. Next time I won't veg for as long...
@LumberjackBuds, so I took clippings from my outdoor plants, and put them in a separate smaller cloning chamber (not the one pictured). Once they had established roots flowing, I moved them into the veg/flower chamber like you see. I plan on keeping em in here and flipping em fairly soon after a little bit of training. When I moved em, there were enough roots that I was feeling confident in em, but not too many that I was scared to take em out of the smaller cups. I gently pulled them out, and a couple broke, but not too many. I heard it's ok if couple break...
