One is growing more than the other, with the same nutrients and water, the smaller one has small light green spots on the leaves, I believe it was too much watering. From the 5th day on, I started to water less and am waiting for the results next week. The fertilizer that I use does not need to calibrate PH and PPM.

Does anyone have any idea what the little light green spots could be? Two plants, one larger, one smaller, and the smaller one with these light green spots. Same amount of nutrients and water.

Hmmmm... it's awfully lime green, isn't it. I wouldn't worry about the spots - some plants just have some weird coloring at the very beginning so no worries... And, since they're autos, it's FAR too early to be putting her on nutes (the color suggests they need some nitrogen BUT they don't like nutes until they're about 2-3 weeks old)... I'd just let them do their thing and see how they develop - The only thing I would ask is if you're making certain the PH of the water you give them is between 6.2 and 6.5... other than that, sit back and enjoy the beginning of your grow! Good luck!

Growing bigger and faster, it is producing a faint smell from the leaves (which I love). About the spots in one of the plants, it seems to be genetic, it is also having some anomalies, not growing some fingers of the leaves, in the picture you can see, I don't know why this happens, but I believe that it will not interfere in the final production ( I hope so ). Apart from this appearance problem, they both seem to grow happy and healthy. I am considering whether to do LST, it will all depend on how big they will be in 7 days.

I had some problems during the week, my fertilizer was not meeting the needs of the plant, causing nitrogen deficiency, I bought ph and ppm meters, ph was at 6.5 but ppm was below 150 with the recommended 2ml of fertilizer. I had to add 15ml to reach 550 ppm, this large amount brought the ph down to 4.8, I regulated to 6.5 and watered. They responded well, the new leaves have more chlorophyll and no burns from overfertilization. Other than that, the plants grow very well and are very healthy. Next week they should start the pre-flowering. I was going to do LST but due to the nitrogen deficiency they had I decided not to do anything and let them grow as they would in nature. Note: The leaves have a wonderful sweet passion fruit smell, looking forward to smell the flowers.

Natural Organic Fertilizer Seaweed Efficient Microorganisms (E.M) NPK (5-5-5) 35 mll
After the problems with the fertilizer, I bought other organic and mineral fertilizers to add, took the ppm measurements and put in 500 to 700 ppm. I made the mistake of not noticing that when the ppm gauge exceeds 1000 it marks x10 on the side and I ended up overfertilizing in one of the waterings during the week. The ppm output was 3200 and 2400. I thought about doing the flush but I waited to see how they were going to react, some new leaves had the tips a little yellow but that was all, so I decided to water them with just water (today), I did the measurements, and the ppm output was 2080 and 1200, they ate an impressive 1200 ppms, which is very good. The next watering is water again, and the next time I will come back with the fertilizers. Today they are very happy, looking very healthy. I am just a first time sailor, but these genetics seem to be very strong in my opinion, they recovered well and never stopped growing. Last week I said I wasn't going to do any pruning and LST, but I had to do it in order to have more light distribution, the bottom leaves were with little light, but I removed only the big leaves of 7 tips and the ties just to open space. They are very big, 25cm and the first pistils started to come out today, I hope they will fit in my greenhouse. I hope I am doing a good job, am I? See ya, next week.

@420loss yes you can as that ratio will still provide the needed nitrogen your plants will be using during the stretch period some people will incorrectly tell you that they don't need nitrogen during flowering but yes they do so to once again answer your question - definitely start to feed them your above nutrient schedule and good luck with the coming harvest

Again I had to make small LST to distribute the light and keep the pre-flowers at the same height. They are apparently healthy, and growing a lot, taking up the whole greenhouse. Today I watered them with fertilizer, next time I'll just water, measuring the ppms. ( Watering every 3 days. )

Flowers, and more flowers, it is amazing how fast they grow at this stage. I am having to do defoliations and LST because of space, these genetics grow so much and I have seen their full potential with the amount of flowers. Happy with their development and with all the learning I have acquired, I believe I still have about 70 more days until harvest.

Greetings growers, flowers continue to grow, some branches below stretching, the height remains at 20" because I am keeping it at LST. Defoliations now only on very large leaves, which have been few. The temperature has dropped a bit this week, which is good. PH started to regulate at 5.8 and PPM's increasing about 100/150 per week. I bought another LED with lm301h diodes, and with watts of 120 to improve, should be up by the 3rd week of bloom. When I made the LST a little stronger I ended up bending some branches, without wanting to do the supercropping, and they reacted well. So far, no deficiencies or pests. Very happy with the results, a lot of learning as always. And the most important: IT STARTED TO SNOW, hahaha what a joy. Going forward, I believe I will have another 4 weeks of blooming.

High, I do think that these are water drips with nutrients that caused this burned spots. But I am sure that this is not done by buggs or cause by deficiencies. Nothing to worry about! Happy Growing! 😋

They are starting to put on weight, I hope they get really big. My 120w LED will arrive this week, should give a nice upgrade for the girls. I had to lower the PPM's because the soil already had enough nutrients so I lowered the doses. Tricomes a little translucent still, I believe I have 1-2 more weeks until they become milky, then I will do the flush and 2 more weeks to harvest.

Similar week to the last one, with no change other than gaining more weight. Looking at trichomes every day, some average 60% milky and 40% clear. In some spots I can see amber like on sugar leaves. When I have 10% amber in the buds I will make the flush. I believe in 10 days according to the development of trichomes that I have seen.

I had commented on the question you posed a while ago - and just popped in to see how they're doing... They are STILL showing colors that are not good (at least from what I see in the photos here), sadly, and what the colors are saying is that your plant really needs more nitrogen! I tried to find the NPK of your nute line but couldn't get that information... I see, by your comment, that you understand it's a nitrogen deficiency issue and you're taking steps to try to correct it... Good luck! Your nutes are expensive but you MIGHT want to consider switching if what you do for them doesn't work. GOOD LUCK!!!!
GrowingGrannie
GrowingGranniecommented3 years ago
@420loss, I think, for your next grow, you need to try to find a different line of nutes! But it's good you've added some nitrogen to them... just be careful here as when they get into flower, they're going to need much less nitrogen and an excess can lead to calcium lock out... the 10-10-10 is really too high for flowering but probably very good at the moment... I wouldn't worry about your harvest, to be honest... I screwed up my first grow HORRIBLY - overdosed them with far too much of the wrong fertilizers at the wrong time - if it could be done wrong, I did it... and I got a very nice harvest anyway! Could it have been better if I had done everything right? Of course... but I was still pleased I hadn't killed the poor plants! With autoflowers, they're just kind of programmed to do their thing against all odds... and I gave mine all the "odds" I could possibly have given them. It's a learning experience at the end of which you'll have something you can smoke! Not bad! And your next grow will teach you all kinds of different things! Good luck, my friend!

@GrowingGrannie, Hi friend, thanks for commenting and helping, I am really having problems with the flowermind, the higher dosage gave an improvement in the coloring, but it is still a bit lacking. I bought another organic with 10-10-10 (npk) to add together, and for flora a 2-5-5 to make the mix with the 10-10-10 and try to supply the needs of the plants. I will be measuring the ppms and ph to avoid overfert. All fertilizers are organic. Now the doubt remains if it is not too late to correct these deficiencies and if I will still get a good harvest, since the pre-flowering starts in 7 days at the most. In spite of everything, I am happy, the plants have not stopped at any moment and I have learned a lot so far.

Your plants look like they are doind a little better. I would like for you to check out the nutrients that I use and am very passionate about because I am convinced they are the best plant nutrients on the market. The name of the company is Rooted Leaf Agritech. They are a new company that produces a very cutting edge carbon-based nutrient line that is made from almost 50 different organic land and sea based plants. These plants, depending on the product are mixed and fermented with what the company calls "Precision Chemistry" to produce a product that is light years ahead of any other nutrients on the market. These nutrients are 100% bioavailable with tons of carbon in the form of organic acids that can be use immediately by the plants. Some of the benefits of using Rooted Leaf's nutrients is the fact that there is no need to PH the solution after the nutrients are added. The CEO and inventor has also said that using Rooted Leaf's nutrients give the plants the same amount of carbon that they would get in a sealed room with about 3,000 PPM of CO2 in the room, but the forms of carbon in the organic amino acids in the nutrients are a much better form of carbon that can be used right away and the plants don't have to work hard to break them down like they would have to with CO2. There are many, many other reasons for using Rooted Leaf's nutrients as well. On their website www.rootedleaf.com they have a 5 minute video which explains what they are all about and why there nutrients are different. I like there nutrients so much that I reached out to the CEO and asked if I could be a representative. You can check out my most recent grows using Rooted Leaf nutrients and see for yourself how well they work. I have used General Hydroponics, Grow Dots and Recharge, and also Green Planet nutrients and the Rooted Leaf nutrients have been by far the best. I never have any issues or deficiencies with my plants and get some extremely frosty and strong smelling nugs. If after checking it out you decide you would like to try their nutrients out, you can use the coupon code "Budders" that they gave me, which is 20% off all products. I think it takes about $40 off the cost of a starter pack. So far I have gotten three grows off my starter pack, and will probably get two or three more. Anyway, check it out if you want to, and let me know if you have any questions or anything.
