I feed the plants each time they are watered. Solar Rain from Rooted Leaf Agritech is meant to be fed by foliar spray only per their foliar feed schedule. The plants are foliar fed three times a week until about day 21 of flower. Their feed schedule has me spray a mix of Solar Rain and Silica Skin, 20 ML per gallon of water on Mondays, a mix of Cal Mag Fuel and Lush Green on Wednesdays and a mix of Solar Rain and Peak Bloom on Fridays. So far everything looks good.
This is the last week of Veg. Started adding 2 ML of Peak Bloom to the mix. The plants are really loving Rooted Leaf Agritech's carbon based nutrient line.
Switched to 12/12 lighting this week. The plants look wonderful with no deficiencies or issues. Rooted Leaf nutrients are carbon based and 100%bioavailable, made from organic plants that are fermented. About 75% of the plants are land based and 25% ocean based. Things like Ginko Biloba, jasmine, ale, tea leaves, artichokes, juniper berries, licorice, oranges, lavender and ocean plants like kelp and sea algae. So far my plants really love these nutrients.
This is the last week for the foliar spray schedule, as it is only recommended to foliar feed up till about day 21 of flower. These plants are doing great with no issues.
Week 6 of flower. I have the lights at about 90 percent power, everything is looking great. The Blueberry Cupcake buds are really starting to smell super sweet. The Rooted Leaf nutrients are killer, my plants have grown very well with absolutely no issues at all.
Week 7 of flower. The buds are starting to add some frost, especially the Blueberry Cupcake. I am thinking these girls will be ready in a couple of weeks or so.
This is the final week of flower. The Raspberry Parfait girls and the Blueberry Cupcake girls smell incredibly sweet. The only nutrient given this week per Rooted Leaf's medium strength feed chart is 8 ml per gallon of Reain Bloom. Rooted Leaf says that it is 100% nitrate free and contains potassium in unique organic acid forms which act as powerful signaling molecules. They say these forms of potassium help drive secondary metabolism in plants, allowing water metabolism to remain at optimum levels in late-stage flowering plants.
I probably had a few too many plants in this small tent, so the wet weight of 5 ounces is quite modest, but there are a few nice looking buds with very few small buds. Overall I am happy with how this one Pistachio plant grew and produced. I think I will grow this strain again later down the line.
Unfortunately the one Old Growth OG plant stunted and then later died, so I will have to try to grow this strain again. I gave eight stars because I had to give some sort of rating and didn't want to give a low score without ever trying it.
These were very easy to grow and very healthy, producing some very nice, frosty and sweet smelling buds. It kind of smells like a sweet Blueberry like candy I guess. Pretty strong and relaxing. I will definitely be growing again in a few months.
These Raspberry Parfait girls produced some very nice looking and sweet smelling buds with a fairly unique, complete aroma. I will be growing this again, probably when I grow Blueberry Cupcake again, because these plants are similar in size and how they grow.
Some of the buds were very nice looking, but non of the buds have any notable smell at all. This happens sometimes I guess, because the Don Carlos buds from my last grow definitely had some smell, with a touch of gas, so the buds from these two girls were kind of disappointing.
Not my favorite strain to say the least. Was the second time growing this strain, and both times the buds had virtually no smell or taste. I know it wasn't my tent conditions because the Raspberry Parfait, Blueberry Cupcake and Pistachio strains all smelled very strong. Maybe it is a very subtle smell and taste that this strain has, but I don't care for it at all, and would not recommend it.
