This is a special edition by @seedsman and we very much look forward to seeing her beauty unfold, we seem to have a fondness for their cake strains to say the least! Summer Strawberry Shortcake 🍰 Yummm 😋
This lady is on the move and already into bloom, she is also chunky stalked which made it a difficult task to manipulate her but CC managed to get her bent! As you can see the leaf hoppers are around this year but so far they have not caused any issues, this one is quite pretty and also sparks from its rear end if you watch them closely. Nature is so WOW!
Beautiful weather and a week without issues, that is the all around report!
The top dress along with Bokashi was applied and a rain barrel treat was shared to all once this week with a mix of Hygrozyme and Hyshield, it seemed to be very much enjoyed. A good spray of NForce helped with the aphids along with the stink bugs that were threatening to take over the gardens and Optic foliar spray was applied once a few days later, so far we are happily growing!
We have been watering daily to keep things moist, on the hotter days it has both morning and night.
No issues to report this week, we had a good hard rain yesterday and it was surely enjoyed. The top dress along with Bokashi have been once again applied and the watering is a daily chore although the rain helped out yesterday. The rain barrel was used to brew the Tea for three days which was a combination of 444, Bokashi, Cal mag and microbial mass. It was shared to all our ladies and it was also very much enjoyed, as always!
We have found that a good cold tap water spray not only kills the powdery mildew but also clears away the bugs, we will do this when needed but thankfully the autos do not seem to be under attack. Holding steady we continue to grow as does our garden!
The week went well and the end is nearing. We have reached the point where only water is needed and we look forward to the harvest. We will most definitely be doing our wash to remove any bugs before they hang to dry and we hope there are no issues to report at that time. Otherwise, each plant has an adventure and it is a beautiful thing to observe. I myself (TOH) would prefer to keep the autos indoors and away from the pests, the bugs are always there to fight off but there is not enough time to do so before the blooming stage begins.
The powdery mildew is an issue for this girl and we are going to have to take some serious measures to clear her up, it will be a tedious job but she will have to be cleaned leaf by leaf. Hopefully we can get a handle on it before it takes over, the harvest wash does a great job but if it’s to far gone it can only do so much. Other than that she is growing nicely, it’s going to be a busy homestretch for her.
The week was fine, she is a dirty looking girl but the mildew seems to have given up. A good wash should clean her up and we expect to harvest her within the next week.

Happy Harvest Day!
Seedsman - Strawberry Shortcake Auto - Custom Breeder & Strain
This girl smells lovely although we did have to pull off a few buds infected by the rot. After the trim she was thoroughly washed and hung to dry, the weight is obviously not accurate and one of these days we will get a scale. Not a bad little plant but we will most likely stick to the big girls when growing outside.
