I originally did up about 4 LA seeds but we had a massive heat wave hit for a almost a week straight and the 3 others didn't make it. I was going to put this one outside but then thought, you know what I'm going to try my hand at a bonsai size plant, what's the worst that could happen right? Lol so here's my first attempt so enjoy.
So this plant has been growing surprisingly good so far. Ita been easy to watch this one closely because it's in my front room lol so any changes I pick up on rite away. I did FIMing twice in the last week, ones the day of the last report and the other two days ago. She clearly had zero issues bouncing back from that.
Giving her 50ml twice a day is working out perfectly. First one is about 30min after the light turns on and the second one is about 9 hours later. I plan on doing some topping some time in the next week or two, followed by some LST training. Going to have some fun with this plant.
Well that's all for now everyone so happy growing!!!
I was going to top the plant today but I think I'm going to give it a few more days. I plan on cutting it just above the second nood when I do so I want to make sure that there is a fair amout of growth there before I do that to make sure there is enough plant there to keep the plant growing, rite now there isn't much and I'm worried that it might end up killing the plant.
I've finding the plant is growing slower then the rest when it comes to lower growth, not sure if that's from the light or because of the pot I have it in. Im leaning more towards it being the light because i noticed a bit of light bleaching on one of the upper leaves the other day. Going to have to brake out my PPFD meter and test it. Shouldn't be much more then 600, the 50W light AeroGarden uses in there units isn't very powerful.
Well that's all for now so happy growing everyone!!!!
So I didn't top it.... not yet at least. I started doing some LST first on the lower branches I plan on using to get them bent outward a bit and to hopefully give the other two lower sections time to catch up. You'll notice one of the pics has a red line on it, that's to show where I plan to make the cut. I've noticed it's been growing a bit faster the last week so hopefully within the next few days I'll be able to make the cut.
You'll also notice that the pot is now sitting on top of another pot. That's because I plan on making a small decorative area around the Venom pot, was think maybe some fake moss. It also well give the roots a bit more room to grow, they were coming out of the bottom pretty bad lol.
Also if you're wondering why the plants looking a bit limp that's because the pictures were taken about 20min before lights out. The plant does have a bit of leaf bleaching on a few upper leaves its not to bad, I forgot to move my light up and the plant got extremely close to the light.
Well that's all so happy growing everyone
It's finally done, the plant has been topped. I topped it 3 days ago, but before I did I FIMed it one last time and waited tell the 3 lower branches were at the same height before I made the cut. Now I have my base to work with and I'm going to be doing some LST to bend the branches and morph it into a crazy looking plant. Going to have some fun with this, probably going to veg it for atlest another month or so before I flip to flower. Luckily Venoms mouth has worked great for doing the LST training and adding that bottom to a 6" pot to the bottom has worked nicely, roots have already grown down into it. Luckily unlike my grow room plants this plant is in my front room where my AC is so the outside heat hasn't effected it to badly.
Well that's all for now so happy growing everyone!!!
Cleaned up the lower section so that there is only 3 main branches coming off of it. I bent the one in the back over the center so that it's almost in the middle amd bent out the side branches a bit more. Going to look at doing some more topping soon. Another month and it'll br flower time.
Well this plant did not have a good week. I had to go away for 7 days and had to leave my plants in the care of someone that had a 2 page list of what to do and a lot of "if you notice this call me"... unfortunately they did not call.... I had made up just enought water to last tell the day after I got home, but when I got home there was still enough left to last 4 days.... so they didn't water as often or as much as they were asked to. They also let the light get super close to the plant, it was 4" from it when I got home and some light bleaching had already started. Well I know there was a chance this was going to happen, just have to spend some time trying to bring her back.
After cleaning up some of the lower growth that had started to dry out from the lack of water, I topped off about 4" of the 3 mains so that I have 6 now. I also adjusted the soft green ties to that everything was even again.
Going to give this plant probably another week or so of veg and then it'll be flower time. Not expecting any type of big yeild, just doing this one for fun.
Well that's all, happy growing everyone!!!
Oh man have I been putting this plant through the ringer the last week. I'm having a lot of fun with this plant. It's fun seeing how much punishment I can give the plant without killing it. This next week we'll be it's last for veg and then I'll be switching it to flower. I'd be shocked if when I do if it doesn't herm on me are get small buds. It's just hanging out in my front room under a light so not expecting a massive yeild or any great smoke lol.
Well thats all for now so happy growing everyone!!!!
This last week the plant grew considerably. Did a bit of FIMing and LST training to try and get all the tops even. Might do a bit more topping next week so that I can keep the height low. Don't want this thing to get to big.
Well that's all for this last week, not a lot to report on.
Happy growing everyone!!!
So I did some defoliation and lolipoping today to clean her up and then adjusted the lights because tomorrow we'll be the first day of flower. Should be a interesting to see how she buds with her being in the front room.
Well that's all for now so happy growing everyone
So I had to remove the ties that I was using for my LST training because I split the plant..... damn. Well the plant doesn't seem to be to effected by it, not having the ties on it has caused it to bend back in place and undone all my efforts over the last few weeks. Oh well I'd rather be safe then sorry with this plant.
Just a little over a week of flower now and the plant is slowly starting to flower up. Can't wait to see how the plant forms and if it doesn't herm lol. Being in my front room and only having the light run from 7am to 7pm is a bit problematic to say the least lol. Contemplating adjusting the light time to 13 hours and set the sunrise and sunset feature to see how that works.
Well that's all for now so happy growing everyone!!!!
Had major issues this last week and each one was my fault from not paying attention or from just forgetting.
1 - So the first issue I noticed that actually helped me to find the other two was that I forgot to adjust my light and a few leaves started to look crispy. Adjusted it then noticed a few leaves looked off so I did some digging and found that I.....
2 - Forgot to Ph balance my feed after mixing it up and feed my plants with. The PPM was fine but the Ph was set to 7.2 way to high. Adjusted it and did a flush to get all the crap out. After that I decided it was time to do a defoliation and some lolipoping, as I was doing this I noticed my plant....
3- Was coverd in dust. Turns out that my fan I have next to it had gotten extremely dirty, probably from the backyard door being open constantly during the heat. I cleaned both the fan and the plant off as best as I could.
Well next to that the plant is starring to bud, nothing crazy but that's probably from the issues I had.
Well happy growing everyone.
So as you can see this plant has had little growth over the last week. Grow a bit but not much, but also seeing what looks like light burn but it doesn't make much sense. At the height my plants at its only delivering 750 par on the plants. Only other thing it could be is my nutrients but my run off has only been 50-100ppm above the feed. Only thing I can think of is stress from being in the front room and running from 7am ton7pm. Other then that I can't think of a reason for what I'm seeing. Oh well this plant is just for fun so of I end up throwing it out or having it herm on me it won't be a big lose
Well that's all, happy growing everyone!!!
Well it's looking like the plant has stopped growing and the buds fattened up a bit but not much. Did a small leaf strip to clean out some of the lower area and also have been giving it a small spray to wash it off a bit.
Well that's all so happy growing everyone!!!
At this point I'm just waiting for it to finish so I can cut it down. It's been fun but kind of stressful at the same time. Problem after problem, and it's really showing on the plants. Only a few buds, and what there is, there small. I know the first run I did with my aerogarden grow I had the same issue so the bud size could be because of there 50w light. Regardless this plants end is coming up soon that's for sure.
Well this was the last week before I start flushing her. I'm pretty sure she hermd on me (not surprising at all lol) so I'll at least have more LA seeds to pop lol. Been fun but it'll be awhile before I try my hand at this again.
Happy growing
Well now that week 7 is all done its time to start flushing this plant. Started to notice a bit of color change on the leaves yesterday. Hopefully I'll get a 8th hahahaha if not oh well, this was just for fun anyways lol.
Happy growing everyone!!!
Well we're 1 week into flushing and the buds are starting to change color, getting small hints of black and purple. It's got a very weak smell to it and not a lot of mass. Going to give her another week and then chop chop time.
Happy growing everyone!!!
So as you can see from the last few photos, the temperature change has brought out some absolutely beautiful colors. Now it's been flushing for just two weeks now and the trenchomes are roughly 90% milky 10% amber. I'm probably not going to let her go much longer, maybe another 48 hours or so.
Well that's all for now so happy growing everyone!!!
Plant came down a day ago, but just before I did I noticed that one single bud on the back of the plant had white powder mildew. I looked all over the rest of the plant and couldn't find anymore anywhere else on it. I guess the fan I had set up next to it didn't do a good enough job. After I removed that single bud I cut the plant down and gave it a good bud wash and pt it in front of a fan to dry off before hanging it up outside. Fingers crossed that there isn't any other problems with this plant lol.
