Soaked seeds in water for 24 hours then placed into paper towels. Seeds had long tap roots 12 hours later so straight into medium today. Out of 9 seeds only 1 forum stomper failed to germinate.
Unfortunately we have had a heatwave this week meaning temps in the tent have been much higher than I would have wanted despite my best efforts to cool it back down. As a result out of the 7 seeds I germinated in paper towels only 4 of them have actually broke the surface. 3 Double Grape and 1 3 Bears OG. I have planted another 3 seeds as we are expecting normal temperatures this week coming and I really want to use up all available space in the tent so have put 2 Forum stompers in and another 3 Bears OG.
I was disappointed as I thought the 3 Bears and the forum stompers had failed to sprout but to my surprise they popped through eventually they are alot smaller and more fragile than the double grapes. I'm really impressed with the double grapes so far I've had issues with tent temperatures recently but the 3 of them have powered through with no issues and one of the 3 Bears OG is also coming nicely. Still just watering at the minute. Also have a strange blade of grass growing alongside one of the double grapes. No idea what it is or where it came from but I'll let it go and see what we get.
Still feeding just water at the moment really enjoying the living soil so far makes growing that little bit easier. Temps have thankfully dropped again here so tent is in a much better temperature range. Transplanted one of the double grapes and she is loving the new pot. The double grapes are growing much faster than the 3 Bears and the forum stompers as you can see from the pictures(all plants were germinated at the same time). Put the trellis net in this week as well and have started bending the taller plants hoping to get some sort of SOG thing going but won't be topping this time as I've had bad experiences doing this with autos previously. Happy with the grow so far and I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome.
Still can't believe how easy the living soil is making this grow. Have been feeding plain un PhD water up until now and plants are a beautiful deep green colour and are growing very well with no signs of stress or deficiencies. All plants are showing early flowers now so have top dressed with 2 tbsp of 284 and 2 tbsp of wormcastings. Temperatures have finally settled in a range I am happier with though the heat doesn't appear to have affected any of the plants.
Really pleased with this grow so far. Noticed a little yellowing on some if the lower leaves so added another tbsp of wormcastings and 284 to each pot. Not much to add other than that. One of the double grape and one of the 3 Bears have grown a good bit taller than the rest but all are flowering nicely. I highly recommend Dr forest organics as this has definetly been the easiest grow I have ever done.
