So, This will probably come back to bite me in the butt later, but I kinda forgot to label my smart start seedling pot things and I don't know which seed is the Northern Light and which one is the Royal Runtz. Hopefully that won't cause me any major issues in the future, fingers crossed.
After two unlucky seeds which failed to germinate, I finally got these two to germinate using a Smart Start kit from Royal Queen Seeds. Both have shown tap roots. I am waiting for the stem to rise and the cotyledons to show.
So, today both plants' cotyledons have exposed themselves, which means that we have entered the seedling stage. I put humidity domes over the seedlings to increase the humidity, which they are apparently supposed to like.
Hey! It's finally week 2 of vegetation. Both plants seem healthy and are growing their second pair of leaves. Since MP1 actually germinated 1 day before MP2, naturally it's a little ahead. Also, I think the soil I used for MP1 is much better than the one I used for MP2, so I guess I made another big mistake. That is why I decided I will be using BioBizz nutrients and soil for my next grow exclusively, since it's extremely convenient that they have acompatible soil and nutrients with a feeding schedule, and people seem to really like their products. Their products are also organic which is great because I'd much rather use organic nutrients than synthetic ones.
Anyways, I will take more pictures of the plants along the week if I see anything worth sharing.
Day 10: MP1 is looking very healthy and growing much faster! Meanwhile, MP2 is growing very slowly but still looking quite healthy. Still no smell coming. I'm leaving for vacation soon, so I will have to rely on pictures taken by my grandma who will take care of these plants so unfortunately there will be no low stress training on week 3. Hopefully my grandma can also detect if the plants are too stinky to be left outside and put them besides a window if it is necessary.
Hopefully things go well!
Holy cow i forgot to update for a good 6 days.
So, my grandma has been taking care of the plants for 3 days now. She's been sending me pictures every day and the plants are growing so much faster than I had expected! They seem pretty healthy and my grandma is taking good care of them. I'm currently on vacation so there's not much I can do personally but I should be back by week 5 I think.
See ya!
