Added platinum bubba kush clone to the bunch of ladies, gave her a quick rinse since it came from an environment I did not see and monitored growth the first few days to assess plant health. Initially showing three leaves led me to believe it could have been cut from a stressed/diseased mom so I avoided cross contamination of sheers. After a few days she started to show health node growth and took to her new environment!
Neville Haze and Jasmine Silver Haze seem to be much slower off the start which could result in weaker genetics. The Neville Haze I had anticipated being slow to grow however I thought it would only be slower in flower, the Jasmine silver haze is from a bagseed my friend had gifted which does explain the unstable genetic. The intense light from the LED at such a young age has caused tight node spacing on Jack Herer, Skywalker, and Irish Cannonball. Peach Maraschino seems to have a little more sativa leg to her this time around and is stretching, while Grinspoon does it’s usual thing and never stops stretching! I expect some potential height problems with her down the line to maintain even light height throughout flower
Most plants showing their legs at this point, Grinspoon and Peach Maraschino have shown the most vertical growth while other plants continue to show indica dominant plant structure with shorter node spacing. Peach Maraschino has been such a vigorous cultivar each time I have grown it, during the stretch period she always looks upset that there isn’t more room to grow which is shown from her sad dropping leafs. In the future I think I will run her in a big single pot to let her fully do her thing🤙
Platinum Bubba first to show signs of bud development, clones will naturally develop faster than a plant from seed due to the fact that a clone comes from a genetically matured plant!
Plants are now all showing bud development, Grinspoon continuing to do it’s crazy stretching which has led it to grow into the light. The tops are yellowing and plant is stressing, which has led me to take a few cuttings off of the top to slow growth. The flowering clones will be used as a learning experiment 1) to root a flowering clone and 2) to reveg a plant outdoors. It isn’t exactly what I would like but I always try to make the best of the situation! Next step will be to super crop if she doesn’t stop. Irish Cannonball has continued to catch my eye. I had also found this seed in a nug I picked up from a local dispensary so it’s not something I planned on running again, however someone I work with has been into breeding the last few years and gifted me a Cat Piss cross he created. I had initially intended for that to be a big female outdoor this year, but to my disappointment she ended up being a he. I decided to keep the male Cat Piss, pollinate Irish Cannonball and see what happens!
Neville and Grinspoon starting to show nitrogen deficiency which could be caused by the cultivars themselves being sativa dominant. Both have created much larger biomass through stem production which is mainly fueled by nitrogen, while indica dominant plant are all dark healthy shades of green will small amounts of biomass and mainly flower/bud sites.
Grinspoon continues to stretch even after cutting clones from top! Jasmine silver haze has been slow to stack weight however the smell resembles straight gas which I am very excited for. Platinum Bubba purple color has been more prominent as time goes on and has continued to show that she will be the first to finish. Irish cannonball swelling and visible seed production is occurring at this point.
Grinspoon had to be super cropped to avoid growing into the light, plant has continued to show stress/yellowing at the top where light burn/stress has continued. Neville haze has also been showing signs of nitrogen deficiency which has led me to start feeding that one cultivar differently. Platinum Bubba began flush to bring out color, and at this point it will be a waiting and watching game for the other few cultivars.

Peach Maraschino is approaching the end however she is still putting out weight and colors so I will let it ride out. Neville haze and Grinspoon both seem to need intense nitrogen feeding during flower in comparison to other plants, yellowing leafs have occurring throughout both plants. Both sativa cultivars have started producing trichs at this point and developing bud with a lemon/pine/floral aroma. Even though they may not look as pretty as the others I still look forward to the smoke, and enjoy the difficult learning experience of growing and accepting every plant won’t be perfect!
Flush on most plants while Grinspoon and Neville will be given high nitrogen feed due to deficiency. Colors and smells are overwhelming, almost time for the chop.
Not a high yielder but with my 1 gallon pot experiment I didn’t expect high yields. I am however extremely satisfied with the quality of the sample I have tried. The high is almost psychoactive followed by a cerebral buzz that lasts hours, the flavor it gives off is sweet pine and earth.
I ended up popping out the seeds once the plant dried up and was very satisfied with the amount of seeds the one small plant produced. The other pleasant surprise was the aroma of finger hash I accumulated while picking out seeds! I plan to use the leftover material to make some bubble hash in the following weeks.
Light burn still visible on some of the Grinspoon top leaves however it is starting to show less of the yellowing. The light has been moved up a bit higher now that the other plants are out of the tent besides Jasmine. Jasmine Silver Haze has really been filing out the the last few days and it just about done, next few days will be viewing trichomes. Neville Haze has been showing less of the nitrogen deficiency as well however overall the plant still does not look to happy with her environment. I think this strain would perform better in either an outdoor environment or a pot with more room to grow. The smell on Neville and Grinspoon both give off pine and floral notes while Jasmine continues to put out diesel and gas.
Overall I was very happy with the quality of this strain considering it was gifted to me from a friend, who found it in a bud! The long flowering time was not something I had expected but really enjoyed, this plant continued to put on weight in the late weeks and was very receptive to changes in feed. I also enjoyed the diverse change in smell throughout the flowering cycle which kept me coming back for another stem rub, initially it put off a pleasant earthy/floral tone. Later into flower the diesel/gas pushed through and later developed into a funky/musk similar to a “breath” strain.
Most plant have been taken down from the 1st cycle besides the incredible long flowering sativas, Grinspoon and Nevilles Haze. Nevilles Haze looks like it is getting towards the end of its flowering cycle, most of the pistils have turned orange and I will be viewing trichomes with the jewels loop to figure out when she is done. Dr Grinspoon on the other hand looks like it may need a few more weeks, which I would really like to see this plant at its full potential. The next cycle has been integrated into the tent which includes GG4, Stardawg, Chocolate OG, one clone from my outdoor plant this year, and seedlings of my 1st indoor breeding project.
@Browntroutmuskyhunter, I really enjoyed the smoke, this grow was intended to have a variety of strains so I had different smoke for different occasions. Nevilles Haze has been my Sunday morning go to with a cup of coffee, or late night when I want to get lost in a movie/video game
