musashi_miyamoto Both popped after 36 hours, then put in soil - they popped out of the soil in less than 24 hours - literally none of my seeds (probably germinated 10 seeds) have failed in intratuin soil, it's amazing. Since i'll be transplanting in a few days anyway, i put them together in a 5L pot. made sure to get a good amount of water in the bottom 2/3 of the soil so the roots have something to reach for. Now they're "under" (more to the side lol) my 45W LED, which seems to have worked for other seedlings. 16/8 light schedule, need my sleep

musashi_miyamoto I transplanted yesterday into their final homes. The substrate is soil, worm castings, peat and perlite + the roots of my old francos lemon cheese (torn up). The soil is very moist, so I wont be watering for a little while. Pictures coming soon

i was reading grow questions about transplanting, and it seems i may have done it too early - they just sprouted the first node when i transplanted, and theyre small. theyre showing no signs of stress. if I f'ed them up, i'd see it today right? what are the downsides?

Plant will droop, it can stun or slow growth from here out. If you did not mess with roots during transplant you might be fine. Deciding on indoor or out needs to be done. Switching will likely cause problems during your grow due to spectrum and intensity etc. The plants look fine if they continue to grow you did good.

musashi_miyamoto The mandarin punch is looking perfect. Banana frosting is a different story, but she’s still growing. Could definitely be the early transplant, but I’m leaning towards the ~1minute in direct sun it got when I forgot to close the window. Seems over fed too, but I haven’t added nutes. I would flush but I don’t want to drown it. So we’ll see what happens. Humidity is probably too low as well. Gnats in the soil too. Gotta set up my grow tent again. Growing is hard.

musashi_miyamoto Banana frosting still looks like shit. Just going to keep going and hope it gets better, again, not much I can do. Mandarin punch is looking amazing. Giving about 200ml of water every 2-3 days, no nutrients in either pot. Going to start LST but not sure what to do or if it’s ready yet. They get sunlight (through the window) from 8-12pm, then under the LED

musashi_miyamoto Banana frosting still looks like shit. Got a feeling it’s been overwatered because the soil around it doesn’t dry out well at all. Guess the transplant fucked it up - just going to keep going and hope for the best. Mandarin punch is looking good, we’re at 5 nodes so I think it’s time to FIM? I’m hésitent to add nutrients, but I think I’ll top it with compost until flowering, then bio bloom. Gonna need advice on LST because it hasn’t filled the pot. The next problem will be lighting, my 45w light clearly isn’t enough. Sucks that the past week has been partly cloudy, I think some extended sunlight would help dry out the BF.

Advice on LST for my mandarin punch? Should I tie the top down? Also, FIM or top? General feedback on the diary is more than welcome as well!

If this is your final pot size or this is the only lighting you have (what is your lighting?), then consider flowering it now. Based on the internodal distance, spacing between branches, there's not enough light to support a full growth plant. If you have more light available, your choice between topping and bending can be decided by timing. Each time you top the plant, you will delay the harvest date by 2 to 3 weeks. This is how long it takes to recover. By comparison, bending takes 0 to 3 days to recover, depending on how careful you are. You're this helps a little.

Hey... I think if you want to top, your Mandarin Punch is at the perfect stage to do so ... top it just after the 4th or 5 node... OR you can LST pulling the whole thing over gently so as to not break/damage the main stem but so all of the bud sites are getting full light on them... OR LST just the branches coming off the main stem so that they're out wider... Your Banana Frosting, however, probably needs a bit of help down at the roots since you say she's not drying out as fast as the MP... I'd suggest getting something that will increase root development - I happen to like ReCharge but anything that will increase the microbial levels in the soil would be good. For her, I wouldn't suggest topping - she's struggling enough already according to your notes... so I'd just go with some LST as I described above. Good luck! And DO try to get better lighting for them... that's probably going to be the most important thing you can do!

Well, it all depends on what you're planning on doing with the plant. If you're going to go SCrog/sog, you can just supercrop the top. FIMing is always a good option. Three tops are better than two. LST works great to open up more bud nodes and it's really easy to pull off. You just need some things heavy enough to pull the branches down some and a paper clip to attach it to the branch. Your grow seems a bit in the hot side. I say drop your temperature down to 75°ish and think of adding another light in the tent. Also, adding an extra 2 hours of light is always something to think about. Good luck! I hope this helped.

musashi_miyamoto Topped soil with about 30g of coffee grounds for some extra N + about 2ml of tomato fertilizer (3-2-5) - chose this mainly because it has rooting hormones and seems unlikely to cause lockout @ that concentration. Watering with a spray bottle, and not much at all to avoid overwatering. Now that the WZ is done, they can take its place and get 10+ hours of sunlight instead of 4h + LED. Hoping this pushes them through until i can get my hands on a legit LED. BF is obviously stunted, but the new leaves look healthy so I'm hoping it continues like that - quality over quantity MP looks amazing - i have never not fimmed, so I'm interested to see how it continues to grow. there isnt really anything to tie down so idk.

I need me a grow mentor lmfao any takers?
musashi_miyamoto
now i have to decide between indoor and outdoor. i'm leaning towards indoor because if they take 12-14 weeks from seed to harvest, id have to take them inside mid-flower. im dumb, i have two autos that I should have started instead of these two. but it is what it is lol, i'll figure it out :) i really wish i could find a solar powered battery/generator of some sort that i could plug my lights into
