Welcome to round 2! This is actually already the 2nd week or so since the seeds popped - but I wasn't home for that. All 3 seeds popped - after I actually forgot about them (for more than a week). After putting them in pots - 1 of them died (the one on the right). I guess I squeezed it too tightly when I put it in its cup... it looked a bit like it got strangled...

I forgot to take pictures this week... Please enjoy this aesthetically pleasing picture of bed of hawaiian plumeria flowers presenting a small cut off my previous grow of the same batch of seeds from Nirvana Seeds' Hawaiian Maui Waui (the one I overfed with my electric spray bottle).

The sunburn seems to have had a very different impact on the 2 plants. While last week the black cup seemed to be in the lead - the sunburn (maybe together with the slightly smaller cup) clearly hindered its development. I topped the girl in the blue cup (you probably shouldn't google that). This will be the 2nd grow with my new 100W "FLUXshield" LED from CRE.Science - which I currently keep at 35W. The last 3 images show the blue cup plant after re-potting into a fabric 15l pot. The plant from the black cup was put into a 10l pot and gifted away to be kept as a natural sunlight window plant without being closely monitored. Clearly - these seeds present a very different phenotype compared to my last grow (https://growdiaries.com/diaries/139533-grow-journal-by-fejg87fb2skvf). These girls are much taller for one... I am excited to see it develop. The last image is 3 days later... I increased lighting to 550 PPDF

switched her mid last week of vegitative phase to 12/12 had to take out some lower leafs to get in more air the last 2 pictures you can see the airflow and lighting-area optimized LED by CRE.Science the LED is tuned to about 40% power (drawing around 42W of power) and very close to the plant - which is fine because there is literally no heat except for the driver on top of the board.

I cleaned up quite a bit of lower growth at the beginning and at the end of this week. The wahine is stretching way more than last time - soon I will run out of vertical space. But it has slowed down (I think). So to be safe I changed my LED fixture from a single point to a 4 point setup (see last picture) and did some LST. Sunday: I tried some more LST and cleanup but managed to bend 2 stems a bit too far... pretty much snapping them. I fixated them with green tape - and am now hoping for the best. Wish me luck! (-- 3 weeks later turned out fine!)

She is starting put on white pistols. Stretching slowed down considerably. With the cre.science FLUXshield running at a bit more than 50% it is drawing in 45W. This means my grams/Watt KPI should be 3 times higher than calculated by GrowDiaries (so close to 0.9 g/W !!!). You can easily see the 4 large colas in each corner - and 7-9 small secondary shoots - which I may let mature in a 2 harvest strategy. I am no longer happy with my Secret Jardin HS40. I did get it quite cheap... It is still working (i.e. mostly light proof and definetly waterproof. But the quality is has suffered after only 5 grows with it. Opening and closing the lowest part of the door as well as using the door zipper daily has left its mark clearly visible.

Today I added a small dehumidifier - just to make sure that humidity levels won't get too high with the big plant in the small tent. Luckily - the stretching seems to have stopped.

A few leafs have yellowed on the lower branches of the plant - I took them off. The buds are slowly growing... It feels like she is taking her time. PPFD/DLI are measured manually - Energy consumption, temperature and humidity are monitored constantly via SmartHome setup. All running costs (energy, nutrients,...) for 10 days add up to around 'tree fiddy' (3,50$)... I also noticed that the plant starts to look a little bit like the Loch Ness Monster.

I had to remove some yellowing leaves... I am not sure if the plant is just too tightly packed around the edges or if I am not feeding her enough nutrients. I have started giving her BioBizz Grow (1st last night) since I've read it is mostly just molasses and should be supplied not only during "growth" - e.g. the vegetative phase. On the buds - the leave edges have started to turn a nice shade of purple. I usually only water exactly the required amount - so 1l for my 15l pot. At the beginning of this week I decided to do a small flush - as per grow question recommendation. I only used 25l to my not completely full 15l pot (I am guessing 10-12l earth) with rain-water and checked the runoff: PH=6. PPM dropped from 1800 to <400ppm at the end. She has started to smell very tropical the last few days... With humidity levels hitting 80% outside - my little 25W dehumidifier can't keep up... I keep my fans on and hope for the best. Soil is still wet from the flush - might try the Seedhunter's recommendation and not water for 5 days. Looking back - I really should have noticed the whitening tips 2 weeks ago... last week I should have made the connection of "burnt leaf tips = overfeeding" - but nooo. =) I have been making the same mistake as with my last grow - I watered exactly what she was drinking... 1l/24h. So salt could build up and the magic marker is 10 weeks. This is when "watering wrong" shows... Day 87 (Friday): still no signs of drought stress so I will water with low nutrients maybe tomorrow... I got this tipp from Greenhouse Seed Co. / Seedhunters plus check this out if you are coming from academia: https://www.cannabisbusinesstimes.com/article/3-tips-for-controlled-drought-stress-cannabis/ The tropical smell is noticeably less now... Day 88: watered for the first time after 5 days with ~3l of rain water - and some nutrients. There is a lot more purple on the upper leaves now.

I have overfed my last grow by spraying it with Alg-A-Mic... so this time around I kept giving her only a minimum of nutrients. Looking at the yellow leaves and the brown spots... most of the leaves touched the tent... am I UNDERfeeding her now?

You say you've added BioGrow since you've read it's mostly molasses... while this may be true (who knows!), the NPK of it is pretty strong on nitrogen (7-2-4) ... add to that, the Top Max is ALSO really heavy on nitrogen - in fact, with an NPK of 4-0-0, it's almost pure nitrogen... so this is now causing a lockout of calcium and perhaps even potassium.. You've got a couple of options here, I think. If you anticipate harvesting sometime soon (i.e., 2-3 weeks), I'd just give her pH'd water for the next week and when you resume feeding, cut that BioGrow down to almost nothing and pump up the bloom nutes some... in flower, plants don't need as much nitrogen as they do in the veg state. If you think she's going to go longer, I would probably flush her (45 liters of pH'd water through each pot) and add nutes to the last liter you run through - but with half the BioGrow and Alg-A-Mic, NO Top Max and keep the doseage of BioBloom the same. Going forward, I would keep the Bio-Grow at half what you're giving now, I'd get rid of the Top Max and double the BioBloom... You don't mention what pH you're maintaining... but this is crucial as well... you've got to make certain the pH sits between 6.0 and 6.3 at this stage of the game. Any lower and neither calcium nor potassium will be absorbed by the plant no matter how much of it you throw at her... You CAN go a little higher (6.5 max) but try not to... And btw... you're one of MANY growers that have had problems with both BioGrow and especially with Top Max.... so don't kick yourself... just be aware of how much nitrogen both contain if you use them in the future! Good luck! The grow looks amazing and you're going to have a really NICE harvest!

Week 12... the first leaves are turning yellow - I believe not due to over/underfeeding but because of autumn-like conditions in the tent or rather outside temperatures have dropped and the tent is not fully insulated... The buds are now noticeably turning purple. It's pretty - I like it! I got a cheap wifi security camera that soothes my need to check in on my grow a few times a day... and its night mode uses 940nm IR so the plants don't mind. =) The last closeups tell me: another week to harvest... maybe 2?

I actually need the grow room for my Girl Scout Cookies - but I will sacrifice her for the Maui Waui if need be. The beautiful autumn coloration is continuing... I am feeding her a little bit and bought some flushing cleaner stuff from Green Buzz Nutrients - that should help me get out all excess nutrients in the plant in 1-2 days. The trichomes are a wild mixture of translucent, white and a few amber spots near the end of this week... Typical according to the diaries here of Nirvana's Maui Waui - she is taking her time to get cloudy. =) Since it has been raining most days and nights for a while now - humidity has risen to 70% and temperatures dropped - I discovered bud rot today - because 1 leaf looked odd on my daily pictures (thank god for this diary!). I cut off the affected bud generously, added another fan, turned on the dehumidifier and will monitor closely.

Humidity has become a problem last week. This week it is looking much better. The sensor I had was actually showing wrong (too high) humidity levels... I took it out of the network and replaced it with an updated version. Now the numbers make more sense... the old sensor had long downtimes and was error-prone. Day 105: I decided to harvest the top 5 buds - having already removed the 6th main bud last week - due to the danger of early stage bud rot. Day 106: "lower" buds are ripening after cutting the tops =) Day 107: humidity dropped to 45-50%... 52% after watering... the hawaiian girl looks like she will easily last another week if the trichomes feel like it... ;) Day 110: PARTIAL Harvest Day 111: Sunday...

Given the falling temperatures and rising humidity in the last days - do you guys think it is time to harvest? There are still a lot of clear trichomes... in my oppinion. I added some pictures.

Beautiful lady. Personally this is about the exact point I harvest at. Mostly cloudy with only a few amber is my preference but I don't just go off of tricomes. I look at the whole plant and what desired effect I had in mind for a specific plant. One thing is for sure. Waiting a little longer won't hurt as long as you keep that humidity down. Happy growing.
