Even though al 6 seeds germinated only 2 got above ground in the jiffy plugs.
I’m sure the rest will find his way up too but for now I’ve placed these 2 ‘fast sprouters’ in the DWC bucket on day 6 since germinating.
Especially #1 seems to enjoy the lighting , temperature and extra nutes in the water.
Both plants are looking great and seem to grow quite equal(really excited because often pheno’s don’t grow in the same pace)
It was a hot week due to summer, but luckily the ladies will be in the Growing stage for a few more weeks till it cools down a bit.
I want to avoid big temp changes on daily basis in flower to avoid hermies.
Day 25: Topped both plants
It’s very clear that both pheno’s have different physical qualities.
#1 stretches pretty fast and is a lot taller.
#2 is more bushy and short, will try to minimize the height difference with some LST.
The plants are showing some minor stress signs due to the hot weather, but the plants are growing fine.
Will top them a second time when they’re big enough.
Day 28: started LST to ensure bushy plants.
Plant #1 already had a bit hard branches which caused one branch to snap while bending into place.
Will put it on water to see if it will root by itself :)
Day 31: currently I’m doing some daily LST to keep the plants at the same height and make them spread out more.
I noticed that the PH of the water was on the low side (5.6) and that the plant was showing small signs of calcium deficiency.
My solution was to add 1 liter of plain tab water with 2ML of Calcium additive from the Canna line.
This boosted the PH to 6.3 which is perfect for improving calcium intake, will monitor the PH and EC closely coming days and keep an eye on the leafs.
Plants are smelling really strong for vegetative phase.
Put the clock on 12/12 on day 50.
#1 is overtaking #2 in growth and number of strong branches.
But overall the space is nicely filled, hopefully the growth spurt is not to intens.
I will remove leaves and small branches daily to avoid an overcrowded room.
Yesterday I’ve noticed the first pistils and so the flower has period is officially started.
Today I’ve added 10 liters to the reservoir with nutrients.
Very curious how both pheno’s will develop further.
Currently in the 9th day of Flower and the buds are starting to form nicely.
I am spotting a small zinc deficiency on the leaves, the colour inside the leaf is light greenish.
The PH was a bit too high and last week also might overdid it with the nutes.
Solution for now is down the PH day by day till I reach 5.8 and then let it rise up again slowly.
Lets see how the new leaves will form and the bud thickens.
Smell is really great, strong pungent and exotic.
On day 20 of flower I’ve decided to do a big defoliation to reduce the humidity and make sure all the budsites get enough light.
Never did a big defoliation like this but always wanted to try it to see if it’s something for my growing method or not.
PH is on the low side currently, started on 6.3 with 1.75EC six days ago but the ladies are drinking more water than nutrients so each day the PH drops and the EC rises a bit.
Will do a complete refresh when it drops to 5.2
Smell is really great and my gloves were already reallu sticky after defoliation round.
Pheno#1 has bigger buds overall and a beautifull purple colour on the leaves.
Pheno#2 is completely green and a bit smaller buds.
If I have to decide on smell and appearance I would prefer Pheno#1
Space filled up really nicely with beautiful flowers. I’ve cut both pheno’s and hung them up in it’s entirety. Currently going for a cool slow dry of 15 degrees celcius and RH of 55%
