Hi Everyone, thanks for taking the time to check out my diary.
In this diary I am comparing Mimosa x Orange punch to DDOS#33 both seem like solid genetics and are at similar price points per seed.
After germinating there is a considerable difference between the 2 taproots but i put both in the starter pots at the same time to keep it fair.
Forgot to take a picture right after emerging but here she is after 24hours after she broke the coco.
After the first fertigation i added my nutrients at 25% strength, following Kootmeds schedule for Jacks 3-2-1. Adjusting the balance of nutrients to my own NPK values since they are different
its more work than i thought mixing the reservoir up and measuring it all out but i hope its worth it in the end. Just gotta get the hang of this science
DDOS#33 is a little slower than her counterpart but she endured the stress better. Not really showing any signs of yellowing or curling since germ she's been a tad slower than Mimosa but i suspect she might take over mid veg.
After noticing the cotyledon leaves on Mimosa turning yellow quite quick and the tips being yellow I suspected some issues and after checking everything. I Noticed i hadn't properly flushed my Lines causing a PH swing to 6.9 and a PPM of 907. So these seedlings had a ton of stress for ~3 days. Luckily I spotted the yellowing in time and was able to refresh the nutrient solution in time.😰 still feeding 25% strength nutrient solution till 6-8
Feeding 100% strength now they are looking happy pretty surprised at the comeback already starting that soon rubbing the leaves also emits a slightly sweet smell 😀
this week went smoothly after everything has been dialed in the plant is slowly starting to grow more vigorous and showing some promise. 💪
giving full strength nutrients at the moment and now spraying the silica too.
This week was another great week for DDOS #33
still showing some sign's of wind stress but the roots are going crazy so i hope i was right in my guess and expect she will indeed become the bigger one of the 2 😄
This week is filled with anticipation the plants have been defoliated and they are so close to reaching the net.
once they hit the net i can finally begin tucking them under🙌
What an awesome week the plant's have finally been flipped and have been exploding with growth can't wait to see what the future brings 😁
the smell is becoming intense too a slight smell sweet like muffin's is what I am greeted with when i open the tent.
trying to slowly control all the new growth under the net it has been a serious task having to keep up with defoliation this week.
But something about defoliation always gets me in tranquil state so i don't mind doing it before i go to bed. 💤
Even more defoliation this week but i think it has been working out it the favor of both strains it seems like the entire room is filled with pistils 😋
and the smell is insane at this point even with the filter the room smells like the tent is slightly open.
what more is there to say than that I am excited to see the results both strains are doing awesome and i can't wait to see the results at the end of next week😄
the burned tips are exactly what i am looking for in this plant because I'm looking to push it as hard as i can so i can say it has been very exciting to see the buds starting to swell. 👏
This week has been awesome the buds are swelling the smell is insane like i am constantly making lemony muffins and my hands can't handle the stickiness anymore when defoliating 😁
