Dairon La Bubba Cheesecake is a cross between the US Bubba Kush Pre-'98 and the Cheese Cake, the latter being a mix of the Wedding Cake and Exodus Cheese genetics. This is a 70% indica hybrid, and this time they have germinated very strongly and very quickly.

Dairon Good roots, good vigor, I quickly moved them to the jiffy, as they germinated very fast and with very long roots. As soon as the root shows, they will be transplanted to a 7L pot, adding Biobizz Microbes to the substrate, which is very important because it contains microorganisms, enzymes, and beneficial fungi that stimulate the germination process and the initial growth of the plants with greater nutrient flow and absorption. I add a pinch of Biobizz Microbes to the jiffy, once the jiffy is hydrated with reverse osmosis water, I raise the EC to 0.4 with Biobizz Calmag, add Biobizz Root Juice (0.5ml/l), and stabilize the pH with Biobizz Bio-Down. The water temperature is very important; I use it at 22º.

Dairon These Bubba cheesecakes are going like a shot, the downside is that my humidifier broke and they're stressing out from the heat, something I need to fix as soon as possible. While I go to the store for another one, I'll do a watering including silicon to help them handle that stress better. 😃

Dairon They have grown quite a bit these days, after raising the EC and doing foliar sprays. I did some apical pruning, and in a couple of days, I'll do a low pruning and do apical again on some branches, so they can branch out to take 2 clones from each one next week. 😄

Dairon Well, as you can see, they are still in the growth phase, with the aim of taking clones and finishing the kush cultivation to be able to move them to that growing space. In the photo, you can see how I'm trying to clone with a new product using the air layering method. If it doesn't work out, I'll do it in jiffy, which never fails me. Once 4 days pass, if I don't see roots, I'll do it that way. I'm having height issues, so I'll be doing some pruning and pinching to level the canopy and control the height. In the end, I've taken two clones from each plant and done a good cleanup of the lower branches.

Dairon Just like the GMK, one of the specimens here also shot up in height, so I have to prune it before moving to flowering. I will do some sprays with a product to make them flower immediately and avoid the vertical growth "stretch" of the first weeks of flowering. There are quite a few obvious differences between the three specimens; they are very different. Once they move to flowering, I will observe their behavior to take notes and keep one as a mother plant if I'm satisfied with it. 😉

Dairon I finally finished with some of the Indian Mountain Kush and was able to make room to switch these Bubba Cheesecake to flowering, which have been in flowering for a week. As I mentioned earlier, I had to do several apical prunings on each plant due to height issues. I’ve turned those into some magnificent clones, added to the ones I already had since the intention is to keep one of the three mother plants if the result when I try it satisfies me enough. In a week since the light change, they’ve grown quite a bit and I’ll probably have to pinch some of the longer branches to even out the height and prevent them from growing taller. I’ve added Bio Grow, Top Max, and Bio Bloom since switching to 12 hours and removed the Fish Mix. I do some good sprays with Leaf Coat to prevent insects and fungi; since I started using it, I haven’t seen a bug in my crops. Cheers!
