Geminated 15 seeds. 12 made it through.
5 x Blue Strawberries
4 x London Cookies
3 x Bubba Kush
Blue Strawberries look great, very uniform. Bubba kush germinated one week later to fill out my 12 pots
Transplantation of seedlings to small pots this week. Top dressed with Kelp and applied fungals to roots. Plants perked up immediately. Strong growth after transplant. Suspect the kelp topdress helped with shock.
Bubba Kush seedlings stretched a bit and now falling over. I have propped them up and will bury the longer stems during transplant later this week.
Started IPM with a weak neem solution followed by trichoderma on the soil. No experience doing this with trichoderma as I have always used as a foliar. Hoping to inoculate the soil with it so that it is cultivated in the pot.
My IPM plan is everything and the kitchen sink. Will do a weekly neem solution with some essential oils and trichoderma every second week.
I did not water large pots this week as they are still pretty moist without any plants in. Just keeping the surface moist with a spray bottle with AACT and dropping some more topdress now and again.
Lowered my lights down to 60cm @ 150 watt. Going to up it by 50watt every 2 days up to 250watt. I then plan to bring the light down to 50cm but will try to gage how the plants are handling the light.
That's all folks.
Wow, what a week.
This week the ladies were transplanted into their final containers after watering with aloe and kelp 8 hours prior. This meant that I had to switch on all of the lights. Took some fiddling with the STC-1000 temp controller to find the right spot to best manage the room. Had some minor issues where the temp touched on 29C /84F. This caused the fans to run more often thus it dropped the humidity in the room to 30 ish. Might slow things down a little but all in all, things are back in tune now with an average daytime temp of 26C/78F and humidity at 60.
Had to fine tune the lighting quite a bit this week. The leaves were a little droopy with the light at 200 and 250watt @ 60cm. After I dropped the output to 150w per light the plants perked up and are again reaching for the sky.
Did some light foliar with EM and aloe, mostly to keep the topdress wet but gave the plants a little bath as well.
Next week I will be topping but still trying to decide if I should mainline or just top.
If you have any comments, I would love to hear.
Have a tetra tastic day
Hey Guys,
Short update this week.
Started mainlining by topping to the third node after the ladies hit 6 nodes. Cloned out the tops and some extra shoots that had to be cut below the manifold. I have accidentally cut the one growth tip off the third node on two plants. Not ideal but will make it work.
Just foliar this week and a little bit of water for the containers. I am going to need to get a cooler of some sort as the temps in the room tend to creep toward 29C during the day.
Peace and Love
Weekly Whatsup !
Continued training with second topping of the primary nodes. I have decided to skip the full manifold and I have let the branch nodes grow out. This leaves me with 16 tops per plant. I am going for the long veg to make sure i can fill the screen. Do you guys think i should top again for 32 nodes ?
The London cookies is branching well. Easy to work with in training.
The Blue Strawberries has a very tight inter nodal distance , so much so that I am a little concerned that i will not be able to train her properly. Raised the lights to try and encourage stretch.
Topped the bubba kush this week and they look pretty.
Peace and love
Hello ! You seems to run 9 or 12 plants so I would recommend you to stop toping and let the scrog do the other part of the work , or your cannopy will be hard to manage. Hope it will help you 😁👍
so, I am a little late with the updates and a apologize that this week has no new photos. Life in the grow room was wild over the last two weeks. had sudden humidity spikes in to room , up to 80% RH. Looks like we made it through without mold but the condensation was pretty bad. I have ordered the aquaria 22 thermo dehumidifier to help out cause we are heading to flower next week. Unfortunately due to bad layout planning from my side I have had to cancel the scrog as I would not be able to reach to plants at the back. before the next run. I will need to invent some new fangled way to effienctly grow notill in 2x8 spaces so that I can scrog.
Thanks for stopping in.
Hi @bobo420,
Thank you, I really appreciate it.
This is going to test the limits of my capability, #firstindoorgrow, #firstnotillgrow #shedgrow
That said, I have been planning this for around 15 months. I think... "Nay I pray" that all that research and study will pay off.
Thank you for stopping by man, I hope you will visit again from time to time.
Have a Tetra Tastic day.
Awesome work so far! Glad to see someone else growing Holy Smokes Genetics! I did a run a while back of the Blue Strawberries. It was a good strain! Looks like you are going to have tons of tops -- should be a pretty wide plants, no? Good luck, going to follow along for the ride, plants look real healthy 👍👊👌
