Pink limes & Frootz

This is my first Dwc pheno hunt/run and I’ve chosen to go with these strains : Pink Limes : Pink Limez by Grounded Genetics is an outstanding cultivar that manages to blend two exotic, modern powerhouse strains together in order to create this impeccable variety. The 2 strains that were chosen by Grounded Genetics were Str8 Organics' Lemonnade cut and Grounded Genetics's Runtz reversal. Pink Limez' terpene profile fills your palate with super loud, candied lime flavours and with her heavy resin production and eye-catching pink/ purple hues on some of the phenos this is sure to be a winner. During Grounded Genetics' pheno hunts, some of the plants they found showed a perfectly balanced blend of the parental characteristics. They also found plenty of phenos that were either Runtz or Lemonnade dominant. One of the standout phenos even produced a strong Lemonnade terp on the inhale, swiftly followed by unmistakable Zkittlez funk on the exhale. Safe to say, you can expect to find a wide-ranging array of terp profiles in the strain. DrippingBudFarms on Instagram even advised after his pheno hunt that it happened to be the best cultivar he's ever popped from seed. He exclaimed that "putting a few buds in your grinder and you're a stinking like a portable F****** grow room the rest of the day". Pink Limez is an 8-9 week flowering strain that produces average flowering yields, but legal resin returns can be substantial thanks to the great trichome production. Frootz : Frootz by Grounded Genetics is one of the newest strains to release over at Pure Sativa and is undoubtedly one of our favourites; Grounded Genetics is bringing some of the latest in exotic Cali genetics & the Frootz is no different. Frootz is a cross of the Apple Fritter (Lumpy's cut) with the reversed Runtz cut. Lumpy's Apple Fritter cut has quickly grabbed attention as countless tastemakers have recognised them to have by and far and away the most remarkable example of Apple Fritter to grace their palette. Their Apple Fritter cut growing traits stacks hefty yields, leading to some seriously dense and chunky boulders of pure fire that boasts a mix of fruity, soapy and candied terps that will keep you craving more. That fritter cut is a stunning cultivar that throws out bright pink and purple hues throughout the flower & packs heavy resin production in late bloom. However, it could do with some extra potency, so although the terpene profile is extremely satisfying, Grounded decided to place a few reversed Runtz plants in the growing room to explore the progeny to see if the parent's unique terp profiles could be blended whilst securing the solid resin production capabilities from the Apple Fritter mum. The testing revealed an immense array of phenotypes that fit the criteria; you can expect a mix of fruit and candied gas to be the most prominent aroma. The pink and purple hues found across the parents are also frequently found and dominate its aesthetic characteristics. The flowers express fantastic hash traits during the flowering cycle as there is an immense wealth of sandy to the touch resin glands that will discard from the plant with ease as such is ideal for legal live material extractors. Even post drying the resin characteristics are well above average for dry sift collection through trim screens. Plants display an average stretch of 2x and finish up in 8-9 weeks Day 1 : First thing I do is to put the seeds in to a glass of room temp water & leave in a warm dark cupboard for the first 24 hours. Day 2 : After the first 24 hours the seeds should have already sunk or sink if pressed. I then put a layer of tissue paper on a plate & wet with 2 table spoons of room temp tap water, I gently move the seeds from the water and lay them on the tissue, cover with more tissue & add 2 more table spoons of water. I push the tissue down, wrap in cling film place back In the cupboard. I leave these for a further 24 hours. Day 3 : I put 2 litres of room temp water In a bowl and add 2 gram Ecothrive Biosys stir and add jiffy plugs in, wait for them to expand then squeeze the excess water from then. Then I label 2 plastic tubs with the strain name and transplant then seeds in to the jiffy plugs then in to the right container. When there all done they go in a propagator and under a cfl 24/0 till the end of week or untill roots are visable from the jiffy plugs
