Hybrid system. Sunlight until 6 p.m. After that I use the ra1000 Parfactworks until 2 am. No additional nutrients until week 3-4.
First days of vegetattive period I added molasses in order to improve microbial life. Proportions: 1 teaspoon per Litre of rain water.
First day of the week, I anchored her to the side of the pot, and tied her down from the superior node. In a matter of hours she straightened back up towards the sun. The second day I tied her down even more so the other grow nodes were exposed to the sun.
I added a very little dose of Top Veg given that the soil was initially fertilized, in order to not burn the plant.
I believe the LST wasn't performed in the best way, given that a few days after, the plant stopped growing. I think I caused a big stress and she is going into flowering sooner than expected. Too bad.
First weeks of flowering, extra fertilization for flowering added to initial nutrient content of the soil.
During this week I also began to trim some of the bigger older leaves to allow the sunlight penetrate deep into all the plant.
I believe she is in good shape, taking in the nutrients provided. I did notice some malformation in the leaves around the main bud, don't know the reason.
I had to change the plant to another pot. I realized it was getting rootbound. It's not ideal to do it during flowering but I believe it wasn't stressful.
Some of the leaves appear to be changing color, I assume is something that sometimes happen with this strain given that I don't see a sickness.
The buds are forming well, great smell, the plant is happy. Receiving great quantity of sun. And responding well to the fertilizers. I believe the buds are starting to swell a little.
2 Tablespoons of guano (Bendita sea).
Buds are getting bigger.
Important to keep an eye out for yellow or sick leaves. Given that there has been a humid weather this month some leaves have displayed white spots that look like a fingus infection, so is important to be on the lookout to cut those leaves and stop the disease development. Anyways, Northern Lights is a resistant strain.
I had to cut a big chunk of the main flower because there was a fungus developing. I believe this plant had some stress given that the flowers are maturing at different times. Also there has been a harsh winter these weeks, maybe that's part of the problem. No feeding given she is just completing its cycle.
Great strain to grow, very vigorous, very easy to grow. Great yields. I know that with better technique the results would have been even better, but overall I am happy with the production.
