Frozen Peaches

SommerVirelli They are officially in Veg mode. All 5 have emerged and despite looking a little nitrogen deficient they look happy. First feeding is today.

SommerVirelli Week 2 and the girls look great. I will be topping at the fifth node this week and removing the first node, leaving 4 remaining. I will let these 8 branches grow out to 3 nodes each and top again.

SommerVirelli Week 3 Veg. Did some light defoliation. When I removed the first node growth from the girls I didn’t take into consideration that I would be taking cuttings. So to make sure I keep my 5 week Veg time, I will need to remove a couple nodes from each plant for cuttings. That still leaves plenty of main branches for flowering. Update: nearing the end of week 3 of Veg, and I was able to top the lower branches at the 3rd node, but the upper branches will still have to wait. I added trainer clips to spread out the growth. This is my first grow without a scrog in a while, so these clips look promising. Personal note — by week 3 of veg, the plants are big enough to be given one half-gallon per feed.

SommerVirelli Found some pretty sweet “mini scrogs” that I’m trying out. They will all get their final topping this week and get a week of recovery before flower.

SommerVirelli Week 5 of Veg. Last week before flipped. On the first day of this week, they were given their final topping at branches that still had the 3rd node and gave a good defoliation. One week of recovery before flower will be perfect. Note on the pics from last week. I didn’t realize I put the scrog screen on a different strain, so ignore those pics lol. The scrogs won’t be in this grow.

SommerVirelli First day of flip. The girls had a nice defoliation. They will get another after week 3 and most of the stretch is done. So far I am definitely liking the structure of these plants. A lot of great “main” branches coming from the multiple toppings. These clips work great and I think I might get some more.

SommerVirelli It’s the 2nd week of flower and the girls are looking great. Nice little buds are forming on long, strong branches. I had to stop myself from defoliation. I will need to wait until the end of week 3 before a heavy defoliation. It’s important to let the girls be during the stretch.

SommerVirelli At the start of week 3 I defoliated a couple of the girls. I usually do this at the end of week 3 after most of the stretch has happened. I don’t know where my head was at so the other 3 will be done at the end of this week 😅

SommerVirelli Week 4 of flower. Girls are looking beautiful. Starting to really smell those beautiful terps. So far very sweet smell. I am hoping I lollipopped enough of the undergrowth to not have any larf. So far it looks okay. They are all very tall branches and will definitely put on some weight in the next few weeks.

SommerVirelli Week 5 flower and I’m already needing support on some of these branches. You can tell there are 2 very distinct phenos in terms of Bud structure. One is very hairy and gives a “fluffy” look, and one is very right and dense. I’m looking forward to each of them, all girls are very frosty. So far when I walk into the room I’m getting a stinky “gym sock” smell, but if I rub some trichomes off I get a very sweet smell. Definitely an interesting combination.

SommerVirelli We are at week 6 of flower. Girls are stinky lol. I had spent so many years doing scrog grows that I forgot just how heavy tops can get. I have some work to do. A lot of branches to tie up 😐. I guess it’s a good problem to have.

SommerVirelli Week 7 flower coming to an end. One last week of flushing and we will put this one in the books.

SommerVirelli Last week. I was late putting this update in. Harvest time was chaotic this run 😂. She was flushed well for a week and now they’re hanging for the dry.

SommerVirelli Frozen Peaches is beautiful, sweet, and sticky. I won’t smoke until it has been cured for a bit. I didn’t hit anything close to my regular yields, but all my plants in the garden yielded low, not just the Frozen Peaches. I believe this is due to the nutrients and grow style. I will be returning to Nectar for the Gods and my scrog style. I was getting 2lb per light with NFTG and scrog. With Advanced Nutrients I yielded 1.5lb with 2 lights. Disappointing but I’m moving on.
