So my girls are currently 26 & 20 days old so I'm starting my journal late and will bring everyone up to speed, but I wanted to start from the beginning. Here the girls are at 4 days old. I started them in 16oz solo cups and had them under a 150w hps (not ideal, was free from a buddy) in the meantime because I had planned to veg them for a couple weeks then plant them outside for a guerilla grow. An idea which changed pretty quickly.
This us the four girls at the end of week 2. 13&14 days. I also had two other girls pop the surface on 7/10 which aren't pictured, you'll see more of them then. Unfortunately, one of the four was already showing preflowers at only day 13.. which was probably due to stress. They were under a sketchy setup at this point, light cycles werent perfect, temps may have been high, they were only in solo cups. But who knows. So she probably won't yield as much. Was planning on planting them outside in a week or two. More to follow!
Okay so like I was explaining earlier, these were intended to be planted outside after that early veg stage. A couple days before these pics were taken, all six girls were put into a 36x36x72" tent w/ a 400w MH. Air cooled hood w/ an inline 440cfm fan (turned way down with a speed controller) and a 6" carbon filter just venting into the room. No intake fan yet- need to get one. Solely relying off of the vacuum sucking in fresh air via the vents at the bottom of the tent. At this point, 3/4 of the older girls are showing pistols/signs of sex. LST'ing them pretty heavily. Have been watering as needed with just tap water. A day or two after this, they received a General Hydroponics "late veg" feed at 1/4 strength. They seem to be bouncing back fairly well from the state they were in due to their previous living conditions.
And here we are present day! no more past tense. All i can say is Wow. The contrast between the previous week to where they are now has astonished me.. I was pretty concerned that the conditions they were in in their younger days had stunted them to the point where they wouldn't yield very well, but these girls are really taking off at this point- even the younger two (in the foremost pots) which I had sowed later, and are 6 days younger than their older sisters are nearly the same size.. At this point, all of the girls are in early flower or are showing their first pistols. The one that has held out and vegged the longest (back left) has about 13 bud sights at the moment. I LST'd them pretty hard so far, training a little more each night while leaf tucking and all that and I'm very pleased. The two girls which are more into flower than the rest have received 1/4 strength bloom nutes from General Hydroponics intermittently and the rest of the four have received veg nutes intermitently at 1/4 strength as well. Switching from MY to HPS tonight and will slowly push nutes more towards bloom as the days pass. Any thoughts/comments/input greatly appreciated, trying to get these ladies fat! :)
