Germinated these in moist rapid rooters inside a clear plastic egg carton. Similar to my previous grow, both seeds sprouted above the rooter surfaces exactly 4 days afterward. The Amnesia's taproot was poking through the bottom of the rooter so I planted it in a 5 gallon fabric pot of Fox Farm Happy Frog and put it outside in my mini-greenhouse with my others. The Bruce Banner seems to be groing a little slower, where it has sprouted above the rooter surface but the taproot hasn't poked out of the bottom yet so I haven't planted it yet, and am just keeping it moist and making sure it gets plenty of sun inside near a window. Cheers to MSNL seedbank for once again a 100% germination rate so far with this batch! Not bad considering the seeds made the 2-week trip from the UK to the US.

Explosive growth from these for only about 1 week. 5-6 inches already. These are my first sativa-dominant auto's so maybe that's why. So far so good.

No change in height from weeks 1 to 2, although that has been the case for my previous grows also. Also similar to my previous grow, one of these (the Bruce Banner) started toppling over so I had to give it some support with a stick and a plant tie. One of the Amnesia Haze leaves started to curl around to the side like a boomerang, which is strange, although no major visible damage to it. It has grown a little shorter in height than the Bruce Banner although genetically the Bruce Banner strain should end up much taller anyway so it makes sense.

Added some soil to both of these to help give the flimsy stems more support. Untied the Bruce Banner from the stick a couple days ago in hopes that it is now strong enough to hold itself up. Still the only nute I've been giving these is silica blast (for the stems). They are still only about 5 inches tall, although may have actually grown some, considering that I added soil. These aren't pretty, but they aren't dying either!

So far so good. These didn't grow any vertically in the past week, although for my previous grow the plants were at an average of 5 inches at week 4 also. These still aren't pretty, in my opinion, but they're still alive which is the most important part, and more than I can say for some of my previous grows at week 3/4. Got another week of great weather and no rain!

Vertical growth from an average of about 5 inches to tall to about 7 inches tall. Leaves are developing more too. Bruce Banner is growing A LOT more than Amnesia Haze, it's about double the height (10 inches vs. 5 inches). Still feeding Silica Blast to help the stems, and another week of good weather and no rain.

No change in height this week, still only about 5 inches for Amnesia Haze and only 10 inches for Bruce Banner. At 2 straight weeks of no vertical growth, hopefully this isn't as tall as they're going to get! Amnesia haze leaves noticeably "fatter" than my indica-dominant and ind/sat hybrid strains. Some white pistols emerging from Bruce Banner, and perhaps very small ones emerging from Amnesia Haze, but I won't call this a "flowering" week quite yet.

Definitely white pistols emerging so going to go ahead and say these are flowering now. Amnesia haze is still only about 5 inches tall, and Bruce Banner is still only about 10 inches tall, so I suppose these are going to be some shorty's. Hope the stems are strong enough to support the buds when they start forming!

Disappointingly, the sun has reached a point where my house and the trees completely cast a shadow over the plants, so they are no longer getting any direct sunlight. Also, it has been overcast/cloudy outside ALL WEEK. So this week these plants look exactly how they looked last week. But because they are autoflowers they are getting closer to harvest. Because of the cloudy weather, I moved all these plants into my closet under 80 watts of CFL's, which isn't nearly enough for them, but might at least be better than complete shadow outside, and this way they aren't exposed to the outdoor elements like insects and mold. For a longer-term solution, I ordered a Spider Farmer SF2000 grow light for finishing the grow inside. I've simply gotten too frustrated with all the outdoor grow challenges, and am very disappointed with how short and thin these plants are. Hopefully the grow light will at least give them some growth as they reach the end of their lives. I'll start my next grow completely under the grow light, and if the plants are still thin and short I'll then know that it's a seed genetics or soil/nute problem instead. The grow light doesn't get here till Friday, so unfortunately these will be stuck about 2-3ft under about 80W of CFL light until then. Maybe because these are so small I'll be able to re-use all the soil after harvest for the next grow.

My grow light finally arrived, and I didn't realize that the standard hanging equipment made it hang so low, so it is currently only about 12 inches or less from the tops of all the plants, which is probably too close. Going to tinker with it when I get the chance to find out if I can drill some new holes in the ceiling, relocate the mounts, and raise it higher. They're on a light schedule now of 18 hours on, 6 hours off. I was sick all weekend and also hurt my back badly, so lately unfortunately I haven't had the chance to give these plants the daily care they've needed. Have to say there has been some noticeable growth between last week and this week, so even though these plants are tiny they are still progressing. The amnesia haze grew from being 5 inches to 6 inches. I ordered 2-gallon fabric pots to be used INSTEAD of these 5-gallon pots, considering how damn small these plants are. When they arrive I might try transplanting them.

Nice growth from last week. I'm completely shocked. Apparently the grow light is massively more effective than depending on the sun this time of year. And to think 2 weeks ago I was really disappointed and thinking these were about ready for harvest. Don't think I'll ever depend on the sun again for growing. Haven't been measuring horizontal growth, but Amnesia Haze finally grew another inch vertically to be 6 inches now, and Bruce Banner is 12 inches now. Bruce Banner still looks pathetic compared to the others that I'm growing under the same conditions, but it still has shown a lot of improvement from last week. Noticed some of the leaves starting to turn yellow. I raised the grow light to be as close to the ceiling as possible, in case it was light burn, but the leaves toward the bottom seemed to be turning yellow first which leads me to believe it instead cold be 1) natural because these will be ready to harvest soon, or 2) a nitrogen deficiency. These are in 5 gallon pots of Fox Farm Happy Frog soil, which is already nutrient rich and probably an overkill size pot for auto's, so I'm thinking it's NOT a nitrogen deficiency, but just to be safe I started adding Fox Farm Big Bloom at 1/4 the recommended strength every other watering.

Bruce banner: Lots of growth! Pistols still white. Possibly re-vegging? Turned grow light down to 50% power due to leaves near top lightening in color. Grew from 12 inches last week to 13.5 inches this week. Amnesia haze: Lots of growth also. Short and bushy! Possibly re-vegging also, although leaves NOT lightening in color. Grew from 6 inches last week to 7.5 inches this week.

More explosive growth from last week for Bruce Banner (grew from 13.5 inches to 15.5 inches in height). Don't want to risk LST during the flowering stage, ven though it seems to be re-vegging after changing the light source to the grow light. For Amnesia Haze it just seems the white pistols have gotten longer. Added CalMag at the recommended dosage (once per week) in case nute deficiency (not just light burn) might be contributing to the yellowing leaves, more for the other strains that I'm growing than these, but so far adding CalMag doesn't seem to be affecting them negatively.

Over the weekend a herd of ladybugs made their way through my front door, and others were hanging out on that side of my house, so I captured about 10-20 of them in a mason jar and set them free in my grow room since they're supposed to be relentless spider mite eaters. Hopefully they don't eat each other instead! At least a handful of them are still alive though and seem to be congregating on top of my grow light (photos attached). Regarding the grow, Bruce Banner is still growing like crazy! Interesting how big of a difference it made introducing the grow light versus starting out only using the sun. It may have gotten taller, but I forgot to measure today. Amnesia Haze didn't make much progress from last week.

Bruce banner continues to absolutely explode in growth. Looks like it's about to take over my whole grow room! Wonder how much bigger it would be if I turned the grow light up to full brightness. It's currently only up to half brightness based on it possibly burning some of my other plants. Amnesia haze is still very small and not growing much. Some of the pistols appear to be turning amber now though. Planned to measure new heights, but forgot again!

Bruce Banner is 16 inches tall now. Would have been nice to have done some LST to make it shorter several weeks ago, but I didn't want to risk it since it was already flowering. Still growing like crazy! Amnesia Haze still small, but hoping to still get a couple grams out of it come harvest time. *** 12/21 EDIT *** Amnesia Haze had bud rot so I had to chop it down and toss it. Hopefully my others in the grow room aren't also infected.

Amnesia Haze got bud rot, so I chopped it down. Nothing salvageable. Bruce Banner still exploding in size though. There has been a hard freeze almost every night this week, so I convinced my wife to let me temporarily bring the plants and the grow light inside. With a less limited space I was able to raise the grow light to be much higher above the plants, so I also turned the light intensity up from 50% to 100%. Not surprisingly, they seem to love warmer temperatures and lower humidity, and haven't noticed any new pest or mold problems ever since. Whole house smells like weed, so will have to kick the plants back outside in the next couple days.

Pistols finally turning amber, so may get to harvest this thing one of these days after all! Trichomes are all either clear or milky white still; none amber yet. It is big, beautiful, and bushy which is what I wish the rest of my plants looked like. I planted a total of 7 of different seed varieties, and this is basically the only one that didn't get bud rot and that continued to grow. Thankfully I should be able to eventually harvest enough of this one to last me until the end of the NEXT growing cycle which hopefully doesn't get plagued with bud rot like this one did. Shout out to my wife for letting me keep the it indoors for another week, despite the hard freeze in the area being over!

Will probably harvest this soon. Hate to do it some bud pistols still white, but the big change from last week si the stems getting much more purple and the leaves starting to turn yellow. Also a lot of the bud pistols have changed from white to amber. There are very tiny red/orange specs that I've noticed in some of the buds that I can only see with a 10x jewelers loop. They don't seem to be moving though and I don't think spider mites are that small, so who knows what they could be. Guess I'll just end up smoking them! I caught about 10 ladybugs in my yard and released them on top of the plant, just in case, so the ladybugs can eat them if they are some type of aphid or spider mite. In good news, I got a grow tent this week, which should help a lot with my NEXT grow: specifically with preventing insect and bud rot issues in the future which I haven't seemed to escape yet. More good news is that this should be a solid harvest since this is the only plant out of the 7 that I grew simultaneously that did NOT get bud rot. At least I don't think so; will be able to find out for sure after harvesting, I suppose. It's a good problem to have that I can't even see the middle of this plant because it is so bushy!

Great growing experience! For half of this pant's life it was only getting late fall sun, then for the second half I got a grow light and it grew EXPLOSIVELY. I grew 7 different strains, and this was the only one NOT to get bud rot. Very happy with a 39.1g wet harvest. If I get 8.8g dry I'll be happy because I only smoke about 0.3g at a time out of my vaporizer so this will last me A LONG time. And I typically smoke lower THC strains, so if this lives up to its hype I might not even need that much going forward. Harvesting took at least 2-3 hours removing fan leaves, chopping off sugar leaves, and getting rid of stems. It was neat seeing the purple in the buds, which I've never seen before. Sticky, icky, icky! Had to change my gloves halfway through. Another plant I was growing alongside this got a white fly infestation, so I noticed a couple of those fly out of the plant while I was harvesting although it seems they mostly stuck to the fan leaves instead of the buds or sugar leaves. Look forward to giving it a smoke after drying and curing. *** 1/20/23 UPDATE*** After 1.5 week drying on rack, dry weight is 11.5g.
