Juano_Mano_Verde420 Some seeds that already showed roots were planted in the pots, so it is expected that germination will be successful... A germination percentage test will be done in 10 days.

Juano_Mano_Verde420 After ten days, the germination percentage for each treatment was: T1 (control): 50% T2 (6 mg Cd/Kg): 83.3% T3 (10 mg Cd/Kg): 83.3% The control treatment had the lowest germination percentage because a slug attacked one of the plants during this week, causing its death. For this reason, only 3 out of 6 plants emerged for this treatment, while for the other 2, 5 out of 6 germinated. The germination percentages obtained are higher than those reported by linger et al. (2005), who evaluated the germination percentage in a similar phytoremediation process with cadmium at concentrations of 17 and 72 mg Cd/Kg. Therefore, the concentration of cadmium in the soil was not an impediment to the germination of cannabis seeds. The height of the plants this week ranged between 2 and 3 cm, they have a deep green color and look healthy. They show slightly reddish hues on the stems of the plants in all treatments.

Juano_Mano_Verde420 The plants are on average 4 cm tall and show vibrant green hues, with no signs of chlorosis. One of the T1 plants has a deformation in its leaves; the first true leaves did not form properly, possibly due to cadmium action.

Juano_Mano_Verde420 One of the T1 plants died... And due to the deformities it showed during its growth, it's possible to infer that cadmium prevented the development of this plant... The colors of the stems of the T2 plants showed a reddish coloration in the stem. The plants look generally good, they are growing normally, but the control ones are the smallest.

Juano_Mano_Verde420 This is the last week for the plants... One of the plants in T2 showed symptoms of cadmium poisoning... the tissues were sent to the lab to quantify cadmium. In 15 days, the results will be known.

Dear Juan, good afternoon. I’m asking if the T1 plant only germinated 50%, would there be a possibility to make some adjustment or change the plant to achieve 100% and be able to make the comparison? Could this situation with the T1 plant affect the normal research process? Best regards.
