Barney’s Farm Glue Gelato

Gruenerfinger85 Seedlings have rooted well in the starter cubes and were transplanted into the final pots yesterday on day 6. Apparently, my girls have handled the transplants well; I'll keep an eye on them. Other than that, there haven't been any further events; all 4 plants are growing equally well so far.

Gruenerfinger85 Week 2 has begun. The little ones are getting better day by day even though they only get 12 hours of light; it's a little experiment of mine to see if it's possible to grow autoflowering alongside photosynthesis. So far, there are no problems. In the last grow with autoflowering, I made the mistake of applying HST; this time, I'm just letting my ladies shoot up. I'll check in again in the third week, until then I wish everyone great growth.

Gruenerfinger85 So far, there have been no problems, they look quite healthy. Due to the 12/12 light cycle, I suspect or am relatively sure that the little ones are losing quite a bit in their growth behavior. The pH value is within the normal range as is the EC value. Maybe a higher wattage for the grow lights would balance out the fact that the little ones only get 12 hours of light. In the future, I will avoid putting plants together that are already further along in their growth cycle, even if they are autoflowering. Well, it was an experiment for me to see how it behaves. Growing under 12/12, maybe I will try a stronger LED lamp to have a comparison. So, see you next week!

Gruenerfinger85 1 FLOWERING WEEK: In the first flowering week, all 4 plants have gained enormous size. The 3 plants from Dutch Passion are genetically leaning towards hybrid. The Glue Gelato from Barnys Farm has more sativa genes; it's less bushy but will surpass them all in height. The plants that are going in the hybrid direction are very bushy in growth. That's why I've started to slowly defoliate the hybrids piece by piece so they don't get stressed; I only remove 2-3 leaves every 3 days. Otherwise, all are healthy and look vibrant. The Glue Gelato has a bit of magnesium and sodium deficiency. I administered Emerald Harvest Cal-Mag once and think this small issue can be managed. The Glue Gelato and Mokum's Tulip have already developed many pistils, while the Skywalker Haze is still taking its time.

Gruenerfinger85 2nd week of flowering: This week I noticed that my autoflowering plants don't handle stress very well; they reacted quite sensitively to defoliation. Even though I only pinched off up to four leaves per plant at most. In the meantime, the little ones have recovered relatively well. With the Glue Gelato Auto genetics from Barney's Farm, I noticed a bit of calcium deficiency last week and treated it with Cal-Mag from Emerald Harvest. The deficiency symptoms are no longer visible on the leaves. The buds are developing very well on all four plants, with one growing a bit slower and another a bit faster. The Auto Skywalker Haze from Dutch Passion takes a bit longer, but it's also indicated as 12 weeks by the breeder. Otherwise, all the plants are healthy and thriving, and they look quite vital so far. I'll keep you updated. Gruenerfinger85 3rd Week of Flowering: Everything has gone well so far this week. So far, none of the ladies have complained, 😅 just kidding. No, everything has been good except that I've noticed a few minor stress symptoms with the Glue Gelato; I still need to figure out what’s causing it. Apparently, I've managed to get the calcium deficiency under control, and it hasn't spread further. The buds are developing equally well on each plant, and I'm curious to see what can be achieved with Autoflowering. I've tried to avoid putting my plants under too much stress so that I have a comparison later between trained and untrained plants. Thanks for reading this far; I'll keep you updated. Gruenerfinger85 4th Week of Flowering: This week, the buds have gained volume, and there are no signs of deficiencies. Watering is done every two to three days. The pH meter seems to be broken since the value is not displayed correctly. I added nutrients to the watering water; the pH was around 7.30 when I added pH down, it went to 6.30, but after that, no matter how much pH down I added, it wouldn't go to 6.5. Since I wasn't sure, I mixed new nutrients. In the past, the pH was always around 6.3 and 6.5 without pH down, so I just gave it to my girls to be safe. See you next week.

Gruenerfinger85 So we have now reached the 8th week of flowering. The plump fruits on my ladies are gaining more and more volume, which makes me very happy. The buds are taking on more of a chocolate color; all that's missing is for the grow room to smell like it. I can hardly wait to taste this delicacy. All the other ladies are doing well and growing and thriving. The trichome production is in full swing. In 10 days, we'll see if the Glue Gelato is ready to be chopped; all the others need a little longer. Thank you for your interest. I couldn't do this before because I still had photos with the automatics, but since the photos will be harvested tomorrow and are no longer with the automatic plants, I'm giving the automatics more power.

Gruenerfinger85 Tag: 68 Flowering Week 9 We're in the home stretch with the Glue Gelato from Barney’s Farm. Just 2 more days and then it’s harvest time according to the info. But I think the beauty needs about another week; I want those amber trichomes this time. The Skywalker Haze and Mokum’s Tulpin from Dutch Passion should hopefully be ready in 16 days. It’s getting autumnal in my grow room. I’m super excited to try them; all three smell just phenomenal. One moment chocolatey, then fruity with cream. I’m as happy as a kid in a candy paradise, especially since I’m disappointed with the Skunk harvest. I hope even more that everything goes well now. Gruenerfinger85 7 Flowering Week Day: 73 It can only be about 3-4 days until the Mrs. Glue Gelato is ready for harvest. The trichomes are all cloudy now, with a few amber ones. The buds have become denser in the last few days and have gained volume. The whole grow room smells fruity sweet🍊🍋🍍🍭🍰. I think with 76 days the lady should be satisfied, then it will be chopped. I am very pleased with the whole process of how the Glue Gelato has grown. It catches your eye immediately, even when it stands among numerous other beauties. It has a special appearance that stands out, the chocolate color and then the spiky stigmas, as if numerous wasps are buzzing around in the flower cups. It also has a special terpene smell that I find very pleasant. I am looking forward to the tasting; I hope it tastes as good as it smells. Thank you all for your support, and I will keep you updated. Gruenerfinger85 Flowering week: 7 Day: 74 Starting tomorrow, all 3 beauties will get a 48-hour darkness treatment. Then it will be harvested. I need to get a stronger LED lamp or add some more; I feel like 150-190 watts aren't sufficient. There's more potential in there, I know it. Next, I will also use a different nutrient, which one I don't know yet, but I will do some research on that. I wanted to give you a quick update so you stay informed. Gruenerfinger85 I am extremely satisfied with the whole grow. There were no problems at all during the entire time, not even when I had to adjust the light multiple times. To my surprise, the beauties handled it well without any issues. The buds have grown nice and evenly, and the leaf-to-calyx ratio is very good. The Glue Gelato also released a pleasant sweet scent early on that reminds me of chocolate. I’m looking forward to the tasting and am curious about the terpene profile. The grow was a lot of fun for me, and if the taste and yield turn out well, then Barney’s Farm has created a very nice strain. Lastly, I want to thank the Growdiaries team for their time and effort in creating something great here, and I also want to thank the community; you are all very nice and welcomed me coolly from the start. There are really nice and cool people here, and a big thank you to those who support me and show interest in my diaries. Gruenerfinger85 I had fun watching this strain grow. There wasn't much to take care of, luckily there were no deficiency symptoms, and there were no other difficulties either. Throughout the entire grow, this beauty was rather inconspicuous, until the end. But in the end, she stood out with her rich trichome production and her sweet smell. Now the buds are being cured and then tasted.

Gruenerfinger85 There's not much to share, as I just let this grow do its thing. In my last grow with autoflowering, I made the mistake of cutting too hard, so this time I wanted to avoid that. I'm of course still gathering my experiences to see what the best technique is and how to apply it best. I thank the community for their interest and Dutch Passion and Barney’s Farm for this great genetics; I enjoyed watching the beauties grow and taking care of them. The next autoflowers are already in the starting blocks, and I'm excited to see what's possible. I won't smoke until all 4 strains are cured, not before. So it might take another week until the smoke report is ready. The strain that completely fell behind is the C-Vibez from Dutch Passion, sorry. That's because this plant was in a different room than the other 3. This strain will be ready to be chopped on 12.12. I wish everyone a peaceful evening and fat yields.

Gruenerfinger85 So my dear grow colleagues, I wanted to give an update on the beautiful C-Vibez strain from Dutch Passion. It truly deserves this update. It has such a gorgeous appearance that shouldn't go unnoticed. At first, I didn't even realize that this beauty is a photoperiod strain, and I regret not taking any clones in hindsight because I think this pheno type has potential. Well, I can't change that now. So I'm excited to present this beauty to you and to hopefully try this delicacy in the near future. This strain handles LST training well, even though the training is a bit tougher, she manages it just fine. She also forgives you quickly if you've given her too much or too little water. She produces medium-sized buds that appear very compact. She doesn't have high demands when it comes to nutrients, yet still produces good and compact buds. Throughout the entire grow, she has been very happy and content. There have been no issues, and in exactly 7 days, it's time to celebrate. We'll see if she needs 1-2 days longer or not; we'll see. I hope you forgive me; I didn't want to withhold this amazing strain from you. So I'm glad I noticed this, and I could at least show you the beginning and the end. Gruenerfinger85 A very easy-to-grow strain. It has no big demands and is very grateful if you give it a little attention. It rewards you with thick, compact buds that are fully covered in a thick layer of frost. Great strain, I would love to grow it again. Too bad I didn't save any clones. Because this strain is suitable for many training methods. LST as well as HST training, I wouldn't be surprised if SOG and SCROG would work too. Dutch Passion has produced a great strain here. I take my hat off.
