So the hubby has been growing this strain (in soil) for approx 9 weeks. It took some wearing him down but eventually after many batches of freshly baked cookies I finally convinced him to cut me a clone, and an apex clone at that. #truelove It took about 3 weeks to root (unintentionally caused a lock out by attempting to grow roots in the same water/nutrient mix we were giving the 5 wk plant) #lessonlearned She’s since recovered and has grown a beautiful root system. Let’s see where we end up

Hi Friends, - Day 10 - 1st water change - One leaf looked a little crisp so we removed it and reduced the light from 24hr to 18/6 - Started to increase the nutrients and introduced florilicious - Healthy root structure - Beautiful fan leaves - Responded positively to some topping earlier this week and LST training -PPMs we’re a bit higher than the GH feeding chart suggested (500-600) ours read 720- not too worried at this point

Hi grow fam, I’m starting to see some slight discolouration on a couple of leaves. I’m wondering if it’s being nutrient deprived or locked out. I am leaning on the side of caution by using GH’s light feed schedule. No signs of root rot inside the bucket

I don’t think 850 Is outrageous but I’d tone it down to 500-600 right now. 1.0-1.2 EC It’s not deficient that’s for sure

Taking the nutrients down by half the amount to try and bring the PPMS down and reverse the lock out. Other then that everything else seems to be going well. She’s responding well to LST training

Week 5 update: - positive response to reducing nutrients by half the amount, thank you to all who suggested this. -Roots are solid and are showing no signs of root rot - positive response to LST with clips - canopy is becoming lush and full

Holding steady at 60% of the General Hydro Nutrient chart recommendations for hydro. Less seems to be more as she’s showing no signs of burn or of slowing down anytime soon. Our flowing tent is currently in use so we may be vegging for another 3-4 weeks. Yikes!😬

When growing hydro do you: A) throw the remaining water away, rinse the bucket and add a fresh batch of balanced nutrient water Or B) top up the existing bucket with a new batch of water, mixing old with new- all the same nutrient amounts of course.

All depends how you want to grow. some people do both others don't. If you having multiple issues I would suggest a new batch till it can be stabilized. If you need any other help reach out via DM "Direct Mailbox" its the little paper airplane logo/tab on the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Cheers,

Measure every day and adjust pH and EC every day. Then do a full clean with fresh water and nutrients once a week. Because the plant will leave more from the nutrients that she doesn't need that much compare to the one that she is craving for that time. So to avoid a high EC on nutrients that she doesn't need as much and provide her with the ones that she is using the most do a clean once a week.

I will definitely do a complete bucket change after the first week in DWC... I find the clay pebbles, as I top water during that week, put a lot of sand in the bucket even though I've thoroughly rinsed them before using. Thereafter, it becomes a judgement call - if I have to raise the EC (or lower it), I might withdraw 1 gallon of water and fiddle with that and put it back in... or if the pH is not staying stable I'll do the same thing... Plants don't usually end up drinking a whole lot until they get to pre-flower/flower stage so just adding a bit of adjusted nutes to top off is generally fine but EC requirements change week to week and I often find it easier just to do a complete bucket change. When they start going through the water heavily, I will then definitely start changing out the entire bucket once a week... ALWAYS clean your bucket or reservoir out with a good dose of hydrogen peroxide to ensure the bucket is clean and free of anything harmful... Good luck!
