Huge fan of your canopy training. I must say It is very refreshing to see people actually putting the time in to grow true photoperiod strains instead of all this auto flower nonsense I've been seeing. I also love that you featured your moms when taking clone cuts, unique indeed. Fantastic work mate, keep it up!
@DabCrab, Thanks for the kind words! I think showing the mums is important, as it gives a good idea of the genetics and what's to come, assuming grow conditions are kept the same. Perpetually cloning is incredibly useful when you find the right strain and pheno for your setup. I am height limited, so going with a mostly sativa strain was a risk, but i lucked out with the resilience it has to topping, training, etc... i can literally cut 50% of leaves, and she just keep growing with zero signs of stress. I have some auto seeds, but haven't had the need to even try them. Why mess with a good thing? My next round will be only one of the Fruit Punch though, and going to try a different strain along side it. Worst case, i just continue with 2 clones again the following round if the 2-strain thing doesn't work out.
When you don't trim plants legs , the plants waste her energy in the bottom shoots , she will end with smaller main buds with plenty of popcorns in the bottom.
@BigDaddyK, not temperatures specifically - but higher temps caused bacteria to grow, and starting stages of root rot, which is when ph started to lower significantly. I could be wrong, but that's what I deduced through not very scientific observation hah. What would cause PH to drop so suddenly, then? Another example i have of this occurring, is that one of my reservoirs is directly over top of the ballasts from the veg chamber, and the res is roughly 2-2.5c warmer than the other res. The warmer res drops in PH more quickly than the other, consistently, despite both res's being changed with identical frequency, and from the same nutrient mix. When i say more quickly, i mean about .1-.3 points in a day.
Proper nice set up that , looks a dream to work with and so tidy , props to you mate u deserve a monster yield for the effort you put in
BIG RESPECT 👊🏻
Great to see such an amazing harvest and the cloning skills really pay off!!! Im recovering from some severe and shitty weather so its time for me to get back to it and try my hands at what you have done!
@H0B0, ahh, shitty indeed. these cabs are a lot of fun - takes the hobby to a whole new level! helping a couple friends build their own this week - highly recommended if you're looking to keep things stealth for children/legal reasons!
@KonopCh, thanks! ya, i was pleasantly surprised. round 4 i'm running some quantum boards, so hopefully the better efficiency will pay off with an even better harvest!
