Now this is what I'm talking about! This little NYD is taking off like it should and after only two weeks, this plant is looking way better than the White Widow microbuds ever did. It grows so fast and every day is so amazing to see the progress. I'm hoping the issues that plagued the white widows have all been solved (not enough lights, bad starter soil, and transplanting issues). I'm very happy so far and really hope this grow shows what my little room is capable of with good/consistent environmental factors.

DAMN! This little plant is a Monster compared to the little WW microbuds. It also validates that my little setup and soil are capable of growing a perfect plant. I'm doing not extra nutes this grow - just bomb ass soil. So happy with this one so far!

This plant has been growing so fast! So much that we ran out of headroom and I had to reposition my light. It has also started to flower and seems to have stopped getting tall, so I'd be very happy with a 2 footer. I also identified my pest problem - THRIPS! I think this is what was on my microbuds as well. Since I'm trying to keep this soil based, organic, and with as little meddling from me as possible - I haven't been spraying for pests and realize now that I need to. So I'm trying a few products from Mountain Organics Botanical Tinctures - I'll report back on how it goes!

The thrips and fungus gnats have really impacted this plant. The buds look good and have been filling in, but all the leaves have pretty much turned yellow from the bottom up and eventually dry up and die. The thrips eat chlorophyll and eventually they all turn yellow and die. I started using Mountain Organic Botanical Tinctures and it seems to have done the trick, but too late for this plant. I have another NYD and Blue Cheese on the way, so hopefully that grow will be pest free. Yield is definitely less for this plant, but another lesson learned = priceless!

So all her leaves were yellow and almost all had dried up and fallen off due to the THRIPS! The buds however look great and continued to fatten up even in the last few days. Most of her hairs turned brown/orange, and on close inspection most of the trichomes were milky/cloudy. Since I didn't want the potency impacted by the THRIPS, I decided to harvest at day 67, 7 more days than Barney's average/recommended. Not much smell coming off these. The sugar leaves are pretty much nonexistent because the THRIPs sucked all her chlorophyl out and the browning was also happening to leaves close to the buds, so I also didn't want to risk bud rot. Did a rough wet trim b/c of the damaged leaves. Will update after she dries on weight, but overall I'm very happy with this plant given the THRIP and Fungus Gnat problems. I haven't seen any THRIPS in my soil since I starting using the Mountain Botanical Tinctures, and my traps are pretty clean, so I'm really hoping they are gone for my next grow...
