First week went great, only have a single feminized cheese seed in the cup and it along with 4 of the White Rhino seeds germinated within 12 hours, needless to say I was quite shocked at how quickly they popped up. I tried to germinate a total of 11 seeds of the White Rhino, however only 7 survived of the 9 that germinated.
It was a good week and I am giving the seedlings 18 hours light and as much airflow as possible, hoping within in the next week or so I will transfer them to larger pots where I can start giving them some nutrients. I do also have some soft rock phosphate in a container so I will be using, standard potting soil, mixed with worm soil, vermiculite and the soft rock phosphate to see how well they grow, I used a similar combo for my chilli plants and the grew extremely well.
Technically first week of vegetation, but 2nd week after Germination, and the plants appear to be very happy and growing strong,
The Cheese seems to be growing a bit slowly, maybe because it was moved to a larger pot while the others are in smaller pots but I am closely monitoring and trying not to over water them.
With all the nutrients currently in the soil I will be using rain water and waiting until there is signs that the plants need more nutrients before adding anything to the mix.
The soil is composed of rich worm soil, mixed with soft phosphate rock and normal potting soil and it should keep them fed for quite a while.
Was a good week, I have been struggling to get the correct amount of water per plant, as you can see with the one White Rhino, every time I gave it water it would start to go limp.
Almost the same with the Cheese, but it seems like the water was just stunting its growth
Looks like I solved the problem with the Cheese, started giving it much less water and it is sprouting up like crazy
Same with the White Rhino, starting to find a nice balance of water per plant and finally started with some LST, they are taking very well to the LST so far especially with some defoliation, still trying very hard to figure out which are females and males so I can move them to bigger pots but so far they are happy with their current pot and no signs of any roots trying to get in through the bottom holes
