Week #1-Oct 26 to Nov 1 10/26-Germination period went very fast from placing seed into paper towel to breaking ground in 5 days. Seedling seems to be taking to the new environment nicely. 10/28-All good. 11/1-First week above ground went well. Plant seemed to handle the nute load well so I'll be increasing everything slightly for week #2.

Week #2-Nov 2 to Nov 8 11/2-Increased nute load by 25% for week 2. Will monitor. Increased light intensity to 500 PPFD at 60% on VS2000. 11/4-Up the nute load again to with 6.28 Ph and 720 ppm. Runoff was 6.07/590. Was not paying attention and did not adjust the Ph down a bit to the 6 ish range. I'll look for any adverse effects and adjust it back for tomorrow if I see anything. 11/6-Adjusted the ph down a bit on today's feeding. Runoff at 6.0/690. 3 nodes deep with 4th just starting. I have used the topping technique on all my past auto grows with success and its definitely increased my yields. This time around though I decided to try a different HST technique...fimming. Based on what I've read if I do it right this should encourage 4 new colas rather than the 2 I'd get from topping. This Forgotten Cookies is off to a great start and so I 'fimmed' the 4th node which is just starting to emerge. I'm interested to see how she does and whether I actually get 4 rather than 2 new colas. Will monitor. 11/7-No apparent adverse effect from 'fimming'. It appears that 2 separate stems are starting to develop ad advertised. Overall the plant looks awesome. Runoff this morning was 6.1 ph/720 ppm which is right on the money. 11/8-First 2 weeks of growth went well. Plant is looking very healthy from the start. I went a little more aggressive this time around on the nutes and the plant handled it fine. Next week I'll bump them up again by 50% ish. Attempted my first "fim" and I'm very interested to see a) if I got it right , and b) what the impact on final growth and yield will be. So far so good.

Week #3-Nov 9 to Nov 15 11/9-Plant is recovering nicely from the 'fim' technique. And it looks like the extra 2 stalks that are supposed to emerge are doing just that. I increased the nute load as per the AN feeding schedule. First runoff was in the ballpark and I'm watching for any adverse effects. None observed so far. 11/10-amazing how fast plant is recovering from the 'fim'. 11/12-Trimmed some leaves and started LST. Runoff numbers were above 1200 ppm which suggests a little bit of buildup and I noticed a tiny bit of yellow tips on a couple of leaves which makes me think that the nute mix is a little strong and is causing some uptake issues. So lightened things up a bit by diluting the mix down about 20% and will monitor results. 11/14-This morning runoff is lower at 5.87 Ph/1080 ppm and the yellow tips does not appear to have gotten any further along. I'll continue watering with reduced nutes and see it that keeps things in balance. 11/15-First 3 weeks went well. Plant is looking very healthy. It handled the fim with flying colors. The brief case of yellow tips appears to have been mitigated. I moved the plant into the big tent under the Optic LED Slim 320.

Week #4-Nov 16 to Nov 22 11/16-Dialed nutes back a bit as I've still got some tiny yellow tips on a couple of leaves. 11/17-Did some light trimming and LST 11/18-runoffs right at input levels. Trimmed a couple of big top leaves that were covering lower branches that are emerging. Tied down a couple more emerging branches to even out the canopy. Plant is looking good so far and handling the HST and LST well. 11/19-Reduced nutes again and seem to have found the sweet spot around 800 ppm. Runoffs this morning were equal or slightly less than input. Discovered some minor leaf damage that looked like pests so I did light covering of neem oil with water previous night. Will monitor. 11/20-I think I have the nute levels just right now. Runoff was still slight below input but the plant is looking greener and really starting to get a nice spread on the canopy. Feeling good about this one. 11/22-Overall this has been a good week for FG. Plant is looking very healthy and has grown to 9 inches. I started the feed schedule a bit too aggressively but was able to dial things back a bit and now there are no signs of nutrient uptake issues. Runoffs are in sync with inputs and the plant continues to get bushier. I've been able to do some effective LST and the canopy of the plant is shaping up nicely. The plant is not showing signs of pre-flower yet so I'm going to plan for another week of vegging and hold off on switching to bloom mix until I see clear signs that the plant is transitioning.

Week #5-Nov 23 to Nov 29 11/24-Plant finished first 4 weeks in great shape. LST has left the canopy getting more even. First signs of white pistils (albeit a just a few) so I started bloom nutes mix today. The plants appeared to be just slightly more yellowish than I like at the end of veg. Original bloom mix was 6.0 ph/780 ppm but I added diluted it a bit to 6/660 just to ease the plant into it. Will monitor. 11/26-Leaves seemed a bit more yellowish than I'd like so I did a little mini-flush with ph balanced water with full dose of Cal Mag to see if I can get a bit more green. Ppm dropped to around 550 ppm. Also did some light LST and trimming. Canopy has got a nice shape to it as the plant enters pre-flower stage. 11/27-Increased nute load slightly to 820 ppm. Will monitor. 11/29-End of solid week. Plant is looking very healthy and additional Cal Mag helped get rid of yellowish colort. Plant is up to 12 inches tall now. Very even canopy with pre-flower happening. Runoffs were consistently below inputs buy 150-200 ppm so I'm increasing the load at start of week #6. At this halfway point everything is pointing toward something good.

Week #6-Dec 1 to Dec 6 12/1-Strengthened nute load. Accidentally chopped a big branch when doing some light trimmming and LST. Bonehead move! I've been struggling with some discoloration on the leaves so I added a little extra Cal Mag. 12/4-Runoff numbers are now back in line. 12/5-Plant is really stretching now. Up to 16" now. 12/6-Week ends with the plant showing lots of new bud sites. 17" high now.

Week #7-Dec 7 to Dec 13 12/7-Changed nute mix and eliminated Bud Ignitor, Tarantula and Piranha and added Big Bud Coco, Nirvana, and B-52. First runoff slightly less than input. Plant is really stretching and more bud sites are appearing and they are developing very fast. 12/9-Previous day runoff was 400 ppm more than input so I did a little mini-flush with ph balanced RO water and no nutes. Runoff was back to 1300 ppm. Did some defoliation to get some light on lower buds. 12/11-Still stretching. Leaves are starting to get frosty. 12/13-Good development this past week. Plant seems to have stopped stretching now and the buds are really starting to takeoff. Leaves are starting to get very frosty and the buds are starting to stack. Overall the color of the plant is now getting more green rather than slightly more yellowish early on. I think this one is on track as we head into the home stretch now.

Week #10-Dec 28 to Jan 3 12/31-Frostier and more dense each day as the year ends. Plant looks healthy but I'm very curious to see what the final yield is going to be. I'm hoping I can get at least 4 oz but I'm not feeling good about it right now.

Week #11-Jan 4 to Jan 10 1/4-Plant keeps doing its thing. My plan is to get to 77 days (11 weeks) with current feed regimen and monitor trichomes for cloudiness and amber. I took a tiny piece of bud from the Top and then Lower part of the plant and used microscope to take photos. Things are starting to turn but we're not there yet I don't think. 1/10-Leaves are turning yellow. I started flushing the plant today. I expect to harvest within the next 7 days.

Week #1-Jan 11 to Jan 17 11/12-Flushing for 3rd day. Ppm is down to 220 now. No more water until harvest now. Buds are definitely cloudy and amber so we are close. Pre-trimmed all the yellow leaves in anticipation of harvest within the next 2-3 days. This one has been a good one from start to finish except for the one main stem I accidentally chopped early on. Based on what I'm seeing now that little faux pas likely cost me 15-20% less yield. But the buds are as dense as anything I've grown previously so I'm predicting/hoping that I get a least 3 oz when dried. 11/13-Harvested on Day 80 and got a much bigger yield than I had predicted. Total wet yield was 625.7 grams or 22.35 oz. Easy plant to harvest due to the relatively low number of leaves. This was a joy to grow and only increases my love for Mephisto Genetics seeds.

Happy Harvest Day!

This Mephisto strain was a joy to grow. Easy from start to finish. Tried fimming technique for the first time and the plant handled it with no issues. The only issue I had was on me as I inadvertently chopped off a major stem in the early going which probably cost me at least another 15-20% in yield. Can't wait to smoke this one.

1/13-I was hoping to get 3 ounces of yield based on what I was seeing. What I had not fully accounted for was the sheer density of these buds and I wound up get 22.35 ounces wet weight. Based on my recent experience I've been getting 20-25% of wet weight when dried which should net me between 4.5 to 5.5 ounces which would be awesome.
