Seems to be coming along nicely. She has warped leaves because of the helmet head I'm assuming. I decided to start feeding nutes since one of the cotylendons got fuzzy from the humidity dome and fell off.
Started LST at the beginning of this week. I was flipping the grow light on whenever I woke up and went to sleep and began thinking about getting a timer. Going over a week between waterings.
Noticed first signs of flowering last week. She's very small, probably due to the lack of light during veg. I won't make the 12hr mistake again. She's loving the new light schedule and developing lots of bud sites with funny-looking although effective LST. She has what looks like 3 "main colas"
She had a nice flowering stretch, I'm not super worried about yield anymore. The buds aren't fattening up as quickly as I hoped but maybe she's been too focused on growing up instead. Guess I'll find out.
Watered twice this week. Noticed some tip burn that's slowly been evolving but I don't think it's from nute burn, possible lockout bc I hadn't been doing 20% runoff. Getting some purpling on the leaf stems and not sure if I should be worried about that. This being my first grow, I don't exactly know what I'm doing and what's normal and what isn't.
She had a growth spurt this last week. There a few amber trichomes speckled throughout but I was hoping for at least 2 more weeks of growth, wanted 3. She's tiny. I stunted her and I know some of the areas I went wrong. Weird thing though, last week when I gave a full dose of flowering nutes, I tested my PPMs and they were at 470 @ full dose!! Runoff was 300 something. So yesterday was the watering after that and I did just water, 32 PPM. Runoff was 980. What the actual f. I'm curious if I should start flushing since amber trichomes are popping up. What do you think?
Should I start flushing based off the few amber trichomes speckled throughout and the amount of orange hairs? Pictured is a tiny section, theres about 20 on the whole leaf. I wanted a couple more weeks of flower but seeing those amber trichomes has me rethinking.
Na give it another 10-14 days I’d say from a few different indicators..

Make sure you’re looking at the trichs on the bracts/calyxes. Not the sugar leaves..
It's day 73. Popped a bud under the microscope and saw around 50% amber trichomes. Last 2 waterings have been just watering so hoping that's enough in terms of flushing. Seems I underfed her anyway so probs not many nutes in the root zone. Gonna harvest within next 2 days. Already turned off grow lights for 48 hour darkness. I wasn't wanting this many amber trichomes as is so that's why I'm gonna go ahead and chop her. Wish me luck. Hoping to get an ounce off this shorty. // Day 75- took the skirt off and any other leaves that didn't have trichomes. I'll update with a harvest week once I make more progress! She's a whole 12 inches now lol, I don't know why she stayed so short. I'm happy with how she looks being my first grow. Could have been worst. She's covered in trichomes and sticky as shit. Smells like absolute heaven, very spicy with a hint of fruitiness.
I only added nutes every other watering. I was adding 2000 ppm tiger bloom at the peak. And straight Ph 6.3 water in-between. Always checked my runoff. Minor tip burn isn't bad also had purple stems. Good luck with your harvest!
im growing magnum auto myself atm and im at the 10 week mark, but they look further along than yours did.
i suspect you may have cut her too early, although she looks like she was still packing some thc crystal, i do think you would have been better waiting but how did it taste once youd dried it?
@mediblemyc, hi! I'm almost certain I chopped her too early. I had more than 50% amber trichs though which is what led me to make that decision. I just finished another Magnum that I chopped at week 12 and the bud was a much better smoke, as well as more dense although not as crystally. The bud tasted a bit green to be honest 😂 I messed up a lot and it was very mediocre. Had herbal, fruity, pine notes..tasted just like it smelled.
