Germination

I woke up this morning with 3/4 seedlings sprouted. Hopefully the last one sprouts by the end of the day or tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'll be adjusting my setup. Edit: They all germinated successfully 😀

Upgraded my setup from the last grow. Finally have a tent setup with ventilation. Despite that, the biggest issue I have now is keeping it humid it here. I managed to keep it at 60~70% only for a couple days, otherwise it fluctuates between 40~60%. I'll keep at until I get something that works. The seedlings don't look bad though. 👌

I've made progress on controlling the climate in the tent. The humidity has been pretty high this week due to some rainy days so that helps. It also gets pretty toasty in here during the day. I think I'm seeing some signs of heat stress? One of the girls looks really bad. I believe it's my fault for top feeding her with 7pH water for a bit. Her roots haven't touched the water yet like her siblings either... I've sprayed her with a bit of water mixed with calmag to see if there will be any improvements 🙃.I'll give her another week to see any good progress happening and if it just gets worse I'll cull her...

One of the seedlings isn't doing so hot. Should I just start a new seedling in it's place or give it more time? I've had a stunted seedling like this before in a previous grow and it ended up yielding a lot...

Your diary says the PH is 7 which is way to high for hydro. you want to keep your PH between 5.5 and 6.5 Anything outside of that range you will get plants looking like you have. When your in veg its best to keep your PH at 5.8 and when you switch to flower you want them at 6.2. check daily and adjust if they get out of range. Happy Growing.

Nice week of good growth. The sickly girl from last week seemed to grow out of it after dialing in the pH and adding nutrients in the water. In one of the photos you'll see there's a 5th plant in a pot; I planted that one incase I had to cull the sick one. Ah well, I'll keep both 😁

All but one of our plants look pretty good. There was some noticable heat stress throughout this week, but I've clipped the affected leaves. It's about time for a res change. I'll double the the amount of nutrients this go around. Our runt isn't doing so hot again. Maybe the water change will give it a break from the stress it's going through.

Nice week of growth. Performed some light defoliation, ScrOGing and a bit of super cropping here and there. It barely looks that way in the photos, but I promise it happened

It's finally flowering time. 🌟 ScrOGing is awesome and I wish I did this sooner. These girls have started their stretch through the mesh though, and next time I'll get something with a tighter matrix. Despite that, the tent looks good enough for me at the moment. They're also drinking a lot more than I expected. Weekly top offs and res changes from here on out.

So many colas 🌟 I think I fed these ladies too much this week. I'm seeing light signs of nutrient burn, but over all they seem okay. They're drinking plenty of water, but the pH and PPMs shot up over the week. Going to decrease the feed and see if they consume more of the nutrients.

Nice week. The buds are developing quite nice and purple. Also, they smell amazing. 😍 I'm noticing the ladies are drinking quite a lot of water as expecting, but not absorbing as many nutrients. I'll try to dial down the pH this week and see if anything changes. Edit: I just topped off the reservoir with pH adjusted water. The EC now reads 1080. So I guess they are absorbing the nutrients just fine.

The ladies are growing vigorously and flowers smell amazing. One of our ladies wants to cuddle the lights now, so some super cropping might be in order. I haven't done it already because I went in to defoliate some leaves at the bottom recently. Also, they're drinking faster than expected, so I'll be refilling the reservoir more often in the future.

We're cruising to harvest for the most part. The lady in the back has gotten really leafy and it's been a little concerning. I defoliated her a bit and separated the branches from each other using the netting. Also, it's becoming difficult to keep the pH in range for most of the week. I'll start with 5.5 and end up around 6.3 by the end of the week. 🙃 I blame the Great White powder. It just sits at the bottom of the reservoir and I'm not in the position to clean out the buckets this time. (Btw I haven't been adding it every week. I just mix up whatever is at the bottom of the bucket)

The ladies are so pretty, purple and covered in orange hairs. I brought out my jeweler's loup to check the trichomes on the buds. A good amount of them are nice and cloudy on any given bud on 3 of the plants. I wanna wait a couple more weeks for the big chop though. I don't feel like defoliating anymore this late in the game. I'm gonna ride it out from here

We had a partial harvest this week! A couple of the girls still have a week or two left to ripen. I haven't added new nutrients to the reservoir, just pHed water until harvest. This journey is almost completed ✌️

Very strong, energizing and straightforward. If you enjoy sativas or a cultivar that will give you a pick me up during the day, I definitely recommend giving this one a try. I especially like this strain while using a vaporizer.

Desfrán was a pleasure to grow despite the early hiccups. I feel like doing another round based on what I've learned from this grow. There's lots of room for me to improve in terms of training. Most of the time I was to afraid to trim too much or do anything high stress, but it takes stress like a champ.
