Had a bit of stretching, fixed potting the jiffys slightly deeper for the "tallest" one. All in all, a pretty decent start.
Soil prepared with around 1.5 inches of Clay pebbles on the bottom, around 10l of biobizz light mix mixed with 1-1.5lt of perlite and 33g of Royal Queen Seeds Easy Boost.
Everything running smoothly, by the end of the week I'll tweak the light, adding 3 23w cfl bulbs spreaded around the reflector and over the seedlings, to avoid them pointing inward towards the big bulb.
Struggling a bit with temperature, but luckily it should go down in the next weeks.
Moved the lamps just a bit away from the plants (now they are between 15 to 20 cm from them) to cope with the temperature, but so far i see no sign of heat stress.
Temperatures rising again in my region, summer doesn't want to come to an end. Daily temperature always around 30°.
Watering volume still kinda low, around 300ml every 2-3 days, depending on the moisture of the soil.
All in all, the start of this week was rough. A branch almost snapped and I did some surgical procedure to recover it, and it worked really well. Plants are slow due to the early second cut. I think i will leave the plants with just 2 cuts (4 colas) to avoid more slowing down. I really hope they will recover!
I was ready to say good bye to my fat banana after the accident last week, but surprisingly she recovered very well and is growing again fast.
Definitely won't make any more cuts, maybe just a bit of defoliation during the week
9th week on its way, on the past days i thought about doing another cut, but i finally decided to roll on with 4 mains. Maybe another week, then i will switch
Beginning of the 10th week, things going smoothly, just gave supports to the plants shoots to cover as much surface as possibile, and spreading them a bit so the light can penetrate better to the lower part of the plants.
Switched to 12/12 and changed bulbs, now 319w in total. Started feeding the minimum necessary for the flowering phase.
A bit more defoliation to remove lower bud sites that won't receive (probably) enough light.
Pretty excited!
Second week of flowering started, plants still growing a bit every day. Had a minor accident with the box and one of the walls fell down.
All in all the babies look good!
Fifth week rolling in, purple queen is skyrocketing with the growth of the buds, first yellow leaves to pluck on her. No signs of OF or stress, so all in all I'm pretty satisfied!
Purple queen is clearly more developed than the other two, and the colas look way more compact and fat. I'm a bit concerned with the ww that looks smaller and way behind on the flowering. Will probably give her more time to reach maturity
Started flushing the purple queen and White widow, apparently i accidentally switched the tags of ww and fat banana. The last one is the smallest due to the shock of the almost lost branches during vegetation period. Now it all makes sense. She was shocked and slowed down, probably she produced more leaves to speed up the growth. Will let her develop a bit more than the other two
Purple queen and White widow look done. Fat banana still struggling behind a bit more. Confuse by the amount of White hairs, even if trichomes are starting to turn amber
She recovered quite well from my mishandling, but unfortunately the yield suffered heavily. It's a tough strain through, and will try it again after upgrading the equipment
Jarred after 4 days, maybe with a little too much humidity still inside. Now hovering around 65% rh and going down thanks to boveda packs. Will try soon and report back the results
Harvested one and a half week after the first two, I'm kinda impressed she recovered well.
Now hanging for drying, will come back to describe the taste.
