First time indoor grower with coco coir
Planted directly into media using a sharpy pen to poke a tiny hole and recovered it, sprayed water and used plastic domes on top and 3 days later they sprouted :)
Managed to save the babies by digging trenches in the media to get the coir to dry up. Live and learn.
Changed pot size from 2.6 gal to 5 gal with more aeration for the roots.
first thing this morning -nov 1st- i did the topping on the healthiest plant at the 7th nod.
Don't think i will be topping the rescued plant. It fan leafs are so distortional, almost watching an horror grow happening but the little colas to be look healthy, i will let it be and see how nature deal with it ... Any contest for the most freakiest plant 😅
Increased light on November 9th at 75%.
Also raised the light on the 11th just to be sure nothing gets crispy as the colas are growing fast.
So far the Diablo Nutrients are doing a great job in the coco coir.
Both plants are thriving, did some defoliation on both, more to do later on.
Also did ScrOG on the topped plant just so to make it leveled like.
I think this will be the last week of vegetation, i will switch onto a 12-12 day/night shift next week and also will adjust my nutrient's from vegetation to flowering
Hello dear readers,
News from the rescued plant, the one on the left in the GT.
It thrives like crazy that's the good news.. the bad news is like a kick in the balls sack... HE got sacks and balls 😖
It sucks than I wasted time and nutrients on HIM.. 🤬
So .. as i said in earlier weeks in my diary "live and learn" 😅
So the remaining plant has the GT for HERSELF 😆
I did more defoliation on "her" and also some more ScrOG.
Today November 24th I adjusted the light timer for a 12-12 hours L/D, she's going to sleep at 6pm 🕕 tonight!
I will adjust the nutrients for flowering in a couple of days.
Thanks for reading
Hello readers.
Nearly a week now at a 12-12 hours schedule, yesterday November 30th
I increased the light dimmer from 75% to 100% .
Also raised the light a bit. Did some homemade modifications to able me to lift it up higher.
Other than that, the plant is doing good and has a bigger appetite which is good 😊
I kept doing ScrOG on the tallest colas and it starts looking like a pretty canopy to become.
Can't wait for my lady to start smelling 😂
Hello dear Diary 📔
Today is another lesson learned.
Refrain from buying seeds from a dispensary who give little information about the seeds they're selling.
That said, i found and looked up Jordan of the Islands site and they clearly have it in bold "NON FEMINIZED SEEDS"
And also saying there is a ratio of 60/40 female/male seeds.
Well if i had known that I might have picked something else 😅
So my first indoor grow turned out to be a fiasco 😂
To bad I've waisted good nutrients on male plants, lesson learned 💫 🤪
I still have 3 remaining seeds and they will be used for outdoor when spring comes.
Today I ordered feminized seeds 😅
They're not auto flowering and i am looking forward to start a new Diary 📔
Thanks for reading
My male plants were beautiful 😍
Joke aside i got 3 remaining seeds and looking forward for spring to come and hopefully the last 3 seeds are females! And they will be a nice sight by the garden outdoor next summer
