StarLorr, I started with autoflower as they are feminized. Learning that they are finicky but I wanted quick turn around. In future if I try photo, I'll pay more for fem seeds just so I don't have to sex them,. I can legally grow 4 plants and would sure hate to waste time , energy, nutrients and tent space.

@Natrona, i will definitely try some autoflowering seeds for a quick turnaround as you mentioned, most likely next September. Yea it was a bummer that both plants were males... it shouldn't happen again ... hopefully the last 3 seeds are fems ...eh? 😅

Such a pity. Next time to find a sex earlier. You can single out a shoot. And put something over it. Like a blacked out plastic cup. (Nearly sure you'll be able to rig something with good air flow, and you'll be able to show sex after 3 weeks) Such a pity both were males.

Good luck with the Black Candyland, I currently am growing a cross between Black Candyland (Jordan of the Islands) crossed with Sour Tangie, unfortunately I a bit of time waiting for it to recuperate and adjust to high-stress fluctuations. I have decided to wait a few weeks for growth height before flipping to flower, I think my plant my have "hermi" after performing the topping however I will have to wait and see. Luckily I was gifted most of Jordan of the islands "Black line" Anyhow best of luck....

@NEEBZK, Jordan of the island's are offering non-feminized seeds.. With a ratio of 60 % female 40 % male. Their website said so in bold on their homepage. Got two males on my first diary with Black Candyland. And my second try with last 3 seeds just happened that yesterday the tallest of the three was a male...
