How often should I water them at this time? I've been thinking about making homemade fertilizer with 5% hydrogen peroxide, 25% onion skin water, and 75% regular water. I've checked the records, and the tap water in my city is good in terms of pH and ppm; maybe a bit of distilled water wouldn't hurt, right?

Going to echo what GrowCN has said here... except to caution you not to overwater the plants... overwatering is the state of being constantly wet so no matter how much water you use, just make sure it dries out between waterings. I'll also echo him with your homemade fertilizer... I can't see the benefit ... distilled water has ZERO anything in it.. H2O2 is good for adding aeration to the soil but provides no nutrients... and your plain tap water obviously has something in it since you say it's "fine" in terms of ppm - but what constitutes that ppm - and how do you increase it as the plant, when it grows, needs more and more of different nutrients? So that leaves us with your onion skins... Onion peels have a good amount of plant nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and copper - but do you know how much of each? How would you adjust to the needs of a growing plant? How would you reduce, for example, the nitrogen and increase the phosphorous and potassium if needed? For my money, I'd buy some organic nutes where all that guess work has been done for you and you can confidently feed and nuture your grow ... unless you really are a chemist and have a means of measuring the relative NPK composition of your onion peels... Good luck!

Viccrazyweed Rudimentary installation, quite basic even for a silly first crop, it's more than anything because I haven't had to invest absolutely anything, the smart pot and the seeds were a gift, I bought 50L of Canna Profesional substrate and the truth is that I'm just impatient, I know that it's not a good time nor do I have a good setup, whatever comes out I'll be happy, when the outside temperature is between 21 and 25º I take them out in the sun from the terrace, which usually gets sun at noon.

Viccrazyweed Critical has grown a lot in a week, cookies has not, what leads me to think she could be auto-flowering because both have been in the same soil and the cookies literally born a couple of days earlier, same 8w white light but at 24h, is that all-right? Everybody use to tell me to get better lights, fertiliser and in overall better set up but honestly i can not afford anything until next month, this is almost a trial, i know its going to be a shit, i just want to have a first contact

You can immediately improve your grow by getting that pH down! It's WAY too high, my friend... probably why your one girl is not doing well. Cannabis grows best with a pH of 6.0-6.5 .... not 8! And btw, I think what you've done for your set-up is absolutely marvelous. I converted an old funky closet into a "grow closet" by using some left over silver-faced insulation that was hanging about... didn't have enough of it so I used tin foil... whatever works! You're doing a great job - just get the pH down! Get some cheap strips that will at least get your pH in the ballpark ... and if you can't afford to get some pH-Down, use some baking soda but test the water/nutes for the pH before giving it to your ladies...

Viccrazyweed Guys, i don’t know where is going to take me but this trip is being awesome, as i wanted, the critikal plant has grown in spiral and she is developing a lot of little new leaves, growing gorgeous but im a newbie, i don’t not if its fem or not until flowering I guess (?) Cookies was growing superslow and i don’t know why i topped it but she is recovering now, might not grow because of then injury I know this “advanced” training methods are gonna make the growing stage last another month at least for sure I have improved moist levels by spraying them quite a few times daily, tap water with 1ml of propolis 5% every 0.5L and have turned the ph correct with some natural orange juice, a few drops use to be enough I turn the heather on sometimes and it comes with fan so perf but im worried the most of the time they are with low airflow levels due to the fact i have not a proper space and they are in a corner of my room

Viccrazyweed The critical has grown beastly and it scares me when I put it into flowering. From three, I've gone to 4 ties, attaching it to different parts of the pot. As I wanted, it's growing in a spiral and beautifully. I wish it could be appreciated well. Yellow spots have started to appear on the old leaves, and I understand that it's a nutrient problem from the beginning of the grow when I wasn't even adjusting the pH... The cookies have two red/pink branches that look really nice. I haven't subjected it to LST because it's lagging behind in growth, possibly due to the genetics, I suppose. Still, I did make an apical cut and it doubled the nodes of the main head. I don't know when I should put them into flowering (12/12). I guess between the end of this month and the next. I didn't know if they are autoflowering or regular, in fact, I still don't know. They've had a really strange vegetative period, and if they are regular, I can really stretch them for another two months before flowering to try to compensate for the lack of light at the beginning. They all look like females to me. Let me know, what do you think?

Viccrazyweed They are blooming!! Nice white hairs are showing off the centre and they have start creating a “budd”, I don’t really know since im a newbie but the leave colours are perfect, no excess or anything else shown since im watering with the correct PH Both are truly beautiful, i think next time i will choose a single plant and treat it the beat i can, exposing her to anything i just learned here I thought aswell that i could afford some “top candy” or “top bloom” but I don’t really know if it will improve a lot or if its worth the money Better air flow during days due to new big fan working

I like to wait until thellant is done stretching, for sure, to defoliate. So, it's usually week 4-5, for me. When I defoliate, I only remove leaves that cover buds. AND! This part is very important: lollipop BEFORE you defoliate leaves. Like someone else mentioned, taking off the tiny branches and buds that don't get much light will help the plant focus on buds that DO get plenty of light. This makes for bigger buds and less scurfy buds. If you lollipop right, you won't get any scurf at all! Once you lollipop, then you defoliate. If you want to talk more on this topic, feel free to message me on here by clicking the little airplane button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Yes. Perfect in the third week. Try to remove the lower branches that get no light or almost no light at all (Hold your hand inside to see if enough light comes through) .This way your plants don't waste unnecessary energy and produce bigger buds. Happy growing!

Definitely don't do it. As GrowingGrannie said there should be a reason and there are mainly two of them to defoliate 1. To create airflows in bushy, mainly indica, strains to prevent mold (see my opium diary where leaves literally overlap into each other or stack layers because of tight spacing) 2. To provide light to buds shadowed by leaves It seems that you can just tie these branches down to create an even canopy (LST) and this would be the best option. However you should also be careful because into flowering plant's stems become harder (they need to carry all these forming buds), so be gentle not to break it

Viccrazyweed Its been an amazing week, now i can understand why Carl Linneus was amazed about this miracle of blooming 🌸 Flowers are starting to grow everywhere, smell isn’t a big deal yet but my girls are just super beautiful 🤩 Colouring is homogeneous ☘️, only a single-couple of leaves showing a bit of nutrient deficiency/excess Critical is becoming literally twice the size of the cookies growing laterally but cookie’s branches are fatter, stronger and harder 💪🏼 Its been a long way but im proud of myself, very pleasant experience, its my first indoor grow and its almost scary how much i have learned ✍️🏼 LST shows an amazing structure and definitely not training your plant its the biggest mistake you can make 🏋️‍♂️ Unintentionally i applied a light cropping and the branches made the bulbs expected, don’t really know if it will show any gains

I think I see what it is you're worried about - but I don't think it's very much to worry about! Except for one or two leaves that have some markings on them (the marks may have been caused by liquid spilling on them and then slightly burning the leaves under your light?), I don't see anything wrong with this grow. I know you struggle for the money to do the best by your plants and if you had the money, you would get a better light perhaps or improve other conditions - but you don't have the money and you're doing the very best you can and you're having a very successful grow! I applaud you!! As they say, "where there's the will, there's a way" and you've found the way because you have the will. You are an inspiration, seriously! Do not worry unnecessarily here - there's really nothing to worry about! Good luck the rest of the way.

I was not sure about her because my cookies smoking experience was lovely but smoking crit felt like less quality, lets see how she develops! Rn she is super beautiful im even finding her attractive, deffo if i were a male cannabis i would polinize her, but daddy says no way so keep developing that looong pistils babe!! What do you think about her?

Viccrazyweed Hello guys!! Trip is closely going to end and it was the first and by the time the best trip of my life, cannaculture its amazing Next step: chop 19 February; Last weekend i added just the “bloom plantastic” wich is organic and only sugars, this week ladys haven’t seen a drop of water, im gonna pour clean could water on the soil 2/3 hours before harvesting to calm the thirst and make the buds go heavier I have been reducing photoperiod this week, 15 minutes every 2 days, rn 11/13 hours, winter is coming and im just letting her now she has to be quick and use the last single drop of food It seems like the critical its on point, looks like in her peak of THC, haven’t seen orange trichomes, just milky ones but 90% of pistils are orange so i think im gonna chop her tonight, at 4:20 😜 Probably ill let the cookies a few days to mature correctly but im afraid if i wait longer for the critical i could regret it What do you think about? Was this diary a good experience to follow? Personally i enjoyed it to the maximum and thank you everyone that has come with me through this

Well if she's a 100 cloudy.. then yes. Chop, chop, chop. She's more than done buddy I'd leave her to dark rest for 36-48hrs. This will increase resin In future. 90-95 cloudy trichs are good. And pistils 30-50 amber and that's the window. But, regardless she'll be fine Hang dry at a max of 18c and RH between 55-60 to stop and shrinkage of bud and to stop any unwanted hay smell if your temp exceeds these aswel as the RH is below 50%. Good luck. Enjoy your mild

@Viccrazyweed, Better light gives more light, and that means bigger plants. I recommend buying the most powerful light you can afford with your budget.

Wonderful job, my friend. Take care of the pH with vinegar, as it will last longer for the water in the pot. Then, if you use homemade fertilizers, I highly recommend making compost! This will help provide already decomposed nutrients that will be easily absorbed, and you can also look for worms near your home to add to the substrate along with decomposing organic matter to help feed the worms. Search online for living soil and compost, and you'll find great quality information for your girls. It's advisable to use tap water that has been left to sit for several days to provide nutrients, as distilled water doesn't contain essential minerals or salts 🙌. Your growing space is unique, which makes it beautiful! Many of us have handmade spaces to cultivate, so let that be another motivation for you! Cheers and happy harvesting, my friend!

@MiyaguiOkPolilla, Nothing could have made me happier than reading "wonderful" as an adjective towards my work. I'm looking forward to updating my diary in a few days. I'm ecstatic seeing daily changes in my girls, and I'm really motivated to learn how to tango thanks to you all and my first contact, especially considering the low cost compared to everything that could have been invested. I don't know if you're aware, my friend, but I've managed to correct the pH by adding a few drops of freshly picked bitter orange directly to the watering and foliar solutions. They grow all over my neighborhood all year round. I don't know about the benefits of letting tap water sit, but I'll take your advice. I've also managed to add some crop top nutrients, and along with the professional canna substrate, I'm already noticing slight signs of over-fertilization, so maybe the compost isn't necessary. However, I want to experiment and add some diluted natural fruit juices to the solutions and see how they respond. Thank you very much for taking the time to examine and comment. I'm keeping up daily and open to any help or recommendations.

@Viccrazyweed, you're welcome, buddy! The most important thing is to invest effort and love into something, whether it's growing, making music, or whatever you enjoy the most. Letting tap water sit helps evaporate the chlorine (a volatile and harmful substance), so you'll see your plants will do better since it contains quite a bit of Calcium and Magnesium, more than anything. Your idea of feeding with fruit juices is interesting; sugars are always very necessary and bring great life to the soil as they help break down organic matter through microbial and enzymatic life 🌸🕵️‍♂️🍀🐍

It's wonderful, you can see that your buds are getting dense and that's because the light meets the parameters to form good flowers. You've done a great job with these branches and it shows in the quality of the trichomes that shine deeply. Cheers and success to all your grows!! 🎩💐🌱 P.S.: you could try increasing the light reflection with aluminum foil to avoid leaks if you have the chance and haven't done it yet, to boost the lumens in the lower formations of the branches to increase your yield if you haven't done it yet. 😜

Pity about the mold. You know when it's dry when you bend a stem "coming from a node" they should snap, but stay together, if it breaks off, you've dried too much, and risk a smell of hay, if dried too much/quickly. It's an art. Ppl dry and have dif levels of moisture they like in their bud. Generally though at min you should get back 1/4 of wet weight. After a few days curing. You'll feel moisture back in the bud. Lots of ppl are tempted to take them back out and let dry more, "them getting moisture back in is a normal process" after 2-3 weeks you're set. I'm still learning the dry/cure process. Even after 30+ harvests. Good growing pal.
the end.
