BuzzingHighAbove Moving this plant to its own album because it will be separated from the other testers to finish as it is a photoperiod and they are autos.
This one is small, compact, with tight node spacing. Moving the light away and dimming it has not helped to stretch it out.

BuzzingHighAbove Moving these photos into an album for tester #1 by itself. Originally 3 blind testers were grown alongside other photoperiod plants. Lights were flipped to 12/12 on that grow at the 4 week point (10/12/22). Since that time, some other plants gave been culled and 2 of the blind testers turned out to be autos. This plant is still very small with very tight internodal spacing and it has not shown any preflowers. I have decided to restore the 18/6 lighting schedule to the grow room. This plant can continue to veg, to mature and grow larger. I’ll acquire a tent or figure something out to finish her later. For now she is vegging along. I’ve defoliated and manifolded her. I’ll document her journey here in weekly posts going forwards.

BuzzingHighAbove Little flowers and trichomes are starting to show up. She smells a little citrusy on the stem rub, first thought was orange. Trained to grow in a spoke with 10 colas. Defoliating and tucking leaves as needed to keep all of the budsites exposed. Flowering in a 4x4 tent, alone (for now)

BuzzingHighAbove Continuing to defoliate to keep budsites exposed. Feeding her a few times intermittently without pHing the water etc… Just to intentionally stress her and she how she takes it. No fancy feed schedule, Just basics. So far she is not fussy but is throwing some 3 bladed leafs as she releafs now on the 12/12 light schedule.

BuzzingHighAbove I keep gradually removing leaves that have stems extending from the but longer than 1cm. Keeping her evenly moist by making sure her reservoir doesn’t run dry. She is stacking them up well. About 2-1/2 to 3 weeks left I think. Wish I could smell her. Wish I could smell anything, but I am too congested.
She’s a beauty, easy to grow without a lot of fuss. A basic powdered grow nute and a dry nute, a couple of ml of silica and some molasses pretty much sums up what goes into her res twice a week. She gets about 2gal a fill. which means she is going through about 1/2 gal a day.
No signs of distress or fade yet, no browning or yellowing leaves.

BuzzingHighAbove Just a snip or two here and there for defoliation. Otherwise she gets rotated 90 degrees daily to be sure to get even canopy exposure under the lights, and her reservoir is kept full. Bottom feeding using my 20yr old EarthBoxes for the win.

BuzzingHighAbove Such a lovely plant. Very satisfying to grow. She smells very fruity with a little
sour. Checked her trichomes under the microscope and I’m still seeing about 25% clear with some amber and the rest milky. She’s slowing down her metabolism now, not drinking as much. Putting out fewer new pistils. We’re in the home stretch, no idea if that is 2 weeks or 4, but based on the slowing of her metabolism. I’d say she’ll be done within 3 weeks.
If you’re watching my video, that’s vintage 1988, Wild Wild West, by The Escape Club (a UK band). The song topped the US charts in November of 88. The band never topped the UK charts.

BuzzingHighAbove the last week was uneventful. I just kept the VPD in check and kept her soil loist and waited for amber trichomes
Sample vape at 12 days dry gave strong LIME terps with an “I can feel my hair tingling” kind of stone. Not putting me to sleep but not motivating me to move either. Very comfortable melt into the couch, kind of stone.

BuzzingHighAbove This pheno was a slow starter. Nodes were very tightly spaced even when I the lights and turned them down. I almost culled this one but decided to use it to play with some creative training instead. I topped her and allowed myself 10 side branches and tried to get the branches evenly spaced apart to from spokes. That would allow me 10 colas with the space for them to be evenly exposed to light. I trimmed them to shape and size then flipped her to flower a month after deciding to train her instead of cull her. At 6 weeks old she was tiny and was still not sexually mature - but she seemed to hit her stride as I started LST and defoliation.
