Clone just planted into a solo cup in coco/perlite. Looks healthy with good color. I will leave in the solo cup for a week then transplant into 1 gallon pot.
Transplanted into her final 5 gallon pot. Started LST and topped the plant. Will probably set up the scrog net next week. Plants have had a little bit of a cal/mag deficiency so I am giving that to correct the problem.
I had to back off the nutes this week because my EC was way too high at runoff. I did a full flush, now I am feeding a week solution and will increase slowly. I am watering everyday to runoff and PHing the water. PH has been fine even though the EC has been high.
I have been doing a lot of defoliation this past week and fighting aphids! I started spraying with Lost Coast but moved up to Dr. Zymes. I think I have them under control, we shall see in another 10 days. Plants have been looking a little sad, so far I’m not that impressed with the New Millenium nutrients. They are a lot to mix and they seem kind of funky? They have lots of chunks of stuff in them and one appears to have mold. I’m am switching back to Flora Flex next week. I may continue using the Ruby and Carb one later in flower though. She is growing a little lopsided so I will keep her in veg for one more week, then flip. I am trying to encourage the one side of the plant to get taller by placing under the brightest part of the light. This one is from a clone so it has an odd growth structure.
I flipped the girls to flower this past Saturday and changed back to Floraflex nutrients. The New Millenimum line up was not performing like FF did on my last grow so I bailed. Still battling aphids, I have been spraying Dr. Zhymes but if it doesn’t get rid of the problem in another week, I will have to get a fogger. Over all, everyone looks good. This plant has been having a hard time since day one. It is growing lopsided…the trained stalk has not wanted to catch up to the main cola, some of the leaves are clawing, she isn’t happy. Trying different things to bring her up to snuff.
Plants are still fighting aphids this week. I am applying Dr. Zhymes at full strength now every day making sure I get the underside of the leaves. A few of the plants are showing signs of aphid damage like curling leaves and black tips. I had to do a full flush last week as well because my EC crept up too high. I will be decreasing the nutes a bit this week to keep the levels at the correct EC. This plant has struggled the whole grow. She is a clone and she never really took to LST well and has grown asymmetrically. She is finally evening out with the stretch but her leaves are really suffering from aphid damage. I have a lot of curling and brown leaves. I am not expecting much from this plant which is a bummer because I was excited about this strain.
This is the third plant that has not been doing well this grow…I have not been able to figure it out but I did add extra cal/mag and it may have helped a little. It has very weird leaves and has been stunted as well. I am giving this one more week as well since it is starting to flower.
This plant is doing better but It is not going to be a good producer. It has not been right since the beginning and the aphids and spray just really took a toll. I am going to continue caring for it because I want to try this strain but I am not expecting a very good yield. I started the Terpinator and molasses this week as well.
She started foxtailing a bit in lte flower so I went ahead and chopped her a little earlier than I would have liked. Still cloudy trichomes with a little amber. I would have liked her to fade a bit.
