Picked this clone up from the dispensary September 27th.
Noticed soil gnats on all of the clones, however circumstances ment this was my only option for decent genetics. Through the use of mosquito bits and under watering they disappeared within a couple weeks (over 30 days since they were last spotted).
Pictures are from the 8th and 12th of November.
Moved her upto a 3 gallon pot. Last grow I used a 5 gallon pot and ran out of space quickly, this grow I'll be shooting for quality over quantity.
Added more one shot and Bigfoot mycorrhizal transplant. Probably overboard on the nutrients but I haven't run into deficiencies over a month later.
Fan runs 24/7, it's a small inline fan and keeps the light cool. No interior fan, I doubt it would help given the tent size.
Unfortunately only one picture from this week, not much to say either, just continued growth.
Mainly watered it once every other day. 18/6 light manual changing it so it's rough. I use a few teaspoons one shot nutrients occasionally.
Continued vegetative growth, preparing for topping, increased watering a bit more frequently to almost daily (just as needed.)
Nothing crazy just maintaining conditions.
Topped her on October 31st. I then lowered my lights to 25% and 50% the following days. Also decreasing the time they are on. Also trimmed a few branches and budsites to hopefully improve airflow further on and just maintain it.
I continued to reduce the time until it was roughly 12/12 on October 8th (2 days into week 8 but I felt it was good to document it here as well)
Increased water, light, and nutrients throughout the week as it's a all in one dry nutrient top dressing.
Tied a few of it's largest branches down and continued to trim smaller branches and bud sites.
Increased the amount of nutrients, water and food. Manual 12/12 light cycle at 100% most the time. Fan on 24/7.
Continued to trim smaller branches and budsites bending a few branches to fill out the canopy better.
Really starting to develop a good smell, almost an artificial grape. Absolutely gorgeous. I'm happy with her progress so far.
The clones I took continue to flower and as i look at her progress I can't help but think she flipped herself a week or 2 before Halloween. I'm unsure luckily I have a jewelers loop and will start watching the trichomes soon.
She's by far the prettiest plant I've grown, she keeps smelling better and better.
I haven't documented the nutrients very well but within the past few weeks I've slowly started feeding her more and more till it's seems like a significant amount to note.
She's looking to finish up by Christmas hopefully!
The buds continue to swell up nicely, they're getting pretty dense finally. Looks like there is some new growth, may just be my imagination. Hopefully it's still on track to harvest by Christmas!
Bit of a story this week: I took clones off this plant back on October 31st, they've been growing separately to this plant in a windowsill/ under a weak grow light.
Unbeknownst to me they developed soil gnats. Last week I put a couple in my tent unwittingly contaminating my big girl with these pests.
This was midway through week 6 flower so chemicals are out of the question. I decided dry her out a bit it hopes to kill the gnats off.
So she went 2 days without water, the result was an unhappy plant that was extremely thirsty. But the soil gnats we're gone and after a few days she's decently recovered.
She definitely has some issues (note all the yellow leafs from the last post) but much of that could also be down to her being in the last few weeks of flowering.
Still think she's on track to harvest somewhere between Christmas and New years, but the past weeks definitely stressed her out. Hopefully she recovers fully and finishes out strong!
Also this is a clone from pHenos Nursery if you have experience growing their strains/ Jack Herer I'd love to hear it!
The nursery I got the clone from says 8-9 weeks flower. A lot of the trichomes seem to be pretty ambery. Not sure if it will develop anymore but I plan to chop it in the next few days.
She doesn't smell as gassy as I had hoped for, I had too much faith in dry nutrients/ Nectar for the Gods and I believe she had some potassium deficiencies.
She still looks beautiful and I'm sure she'll be my best plant yet but there's definitely room for significant improvement but that just gives me goals for next time.
Easiest grow so far :). Mainly used dry nutrients and mixed in a bottle of nectar for the gods Spartan Regime every week twords the middle/ end of flowering.
Decided to not weigh it as to not fuck up the trichoms, she's so sticky that just brushing her buds with my forearm left very sticky spots. But I'd guess she's multiple pounds wet weight.
Some of the buds/ leafs were starting to turn brown. It seems like it was a bit past it's prime, I harvested on day 60 of flower. The strain was 56-63 days Jack Herer by pHenos Nursery. The trichoms looked ready, I did have some issues that I've noted in previous weeks but it smells amazing and I can't wait for it to finish drying and curing!
Give her some time following the slow dry in curing jars (w/ hydro packs) and I bet her smell and flavor profiles will open up considerably! Be patient — This is premium flower…Fantastic job and keep exploring! 😁
