Seeds placed in Root Riot cubes on 1/8/2017 at 4pm and all three popped just before dawn on 1/10/2017. Left in the germination tray until 1/14/2017 and transplanted into 2 gal smart pots filled with Canna Coco and 25% perlite which will eventually be placed in a drip system. I still have a Dinafem Sour Diesel Auto in a root riot that has not sprouted. Seed appears swelled and split. Will give a few more days. Seedlings currently under 3 x 23w 6500k cfl on a workbench awaiting their final 4x4 room with a 600w MH/HPS to be ready. Just waiting for a couple fans to arrive. Upon advice, waiting to begin light nute feeding until cotyledon to start to yellow. This is my first seed grow and probably tackling way to much as I have another grow going thats currently in flowering that I started from clones. 1/16 pulled up Sour Diesel seed, seed swell up started to split and then stalled and hasn't popped in 8 days. Placed back in Root Riot and back into the nursery. I dropped a Fast Buds Girl Scout Cookies Auto to add to this grow. If the Sour Diesel actually sprouts I have room for up to 6 plants in my setup.

1/25 HVAC system at grow room went haywire and the temps in the growing area were 94° when I arrived and plants sustained those temps for 24+ hours. Plant leaves were severely folding up around the edges. In the one days time since they were cooked, the leaves have started to go back to normal. Like an idiot listening to random forum advice, I did not feed these gals or treat the coco with anything other than ph'd water and thus I had developed some nasty purple stems and growth appears to be severely stunted. I have since began feeding and the purple stems are correcting and they are growing again. GSC has been fed and was planted in coco charged with mild nutes and calmag. Definitely know better for next grow. Also, going to back off a little on nutes for GG as she is showing mild signs of nute burn on her tips. 1/27 moved girls into their new home. 4x4x6.5' grow tent with 600w mh and will switch to hps when flowering starts. Theyre in an enclosed patio and air temps have been hitting high 40s at night. I have kinked the exhaust ducting to reduce flow, placed thermostat controlled heat mats, and monitoring temp. RHe has been exceptionally low today at 17% so I added a water tray and rh is climbing back up. If I can't sustain temps, I'll move back inside. Root zone temps are staying at 70° air temps 66°. Adjusted light to avg 43k to 51k lux per plant according to my light meter app. 1/27 fed everyone. Prepped and charged 5th pot, can't decide between Fast Buds WCOG or Dinafem Sour D. 1/28 added a temp controlled/thermostat outlet and plugged in the 6" inline can fan pro 420cfm and set temp to 74°. This thing is brilliant and is working flawlessly. Temps and RH are happy. I have a large oscillating fan blowing 24/7 inside for air movement. Upped nutes and fed to counter yellowing. Gave first dose of great white 1/29 popped a Dinafem auto sour diesel, if it sprouts, it will to far behind these plants. I will start it's own journal. 1/30 plants responding well to increased ppms. Yellowing is going away. Upped ppms from 550 to 700 for this feedingame

The THC bomb really took off this week and the. Blue cheese is catching up. Pretty impressed with GSC growth being just 12 days old. Gorilla Glue is still developing a very compact structure. Installing RO system tonight!! No more trips to the store for RO (my tap clocks in at 500+ ppm). I picked up a portable ro system on amazon and installing in my laundry room. With my diagnosis this will be a life saver as I am slowly losing strength and mobility. 2/7 Portable RO system is what every grower in high ppm tap area needs. It truly comes out 0 to 1 and I think the 1 is from residual ferts in the jug. I bought the 150 gph liquagen 6 stage dual use. Best $150 I've spent considering I was spending .55 per gallon and now I just have about $60/yr filter costs. 2/3 after doing quite a bit of research, I believe my GG may have a whorled phyllotaxy mutation. Conflicting information but mostly seems to be positive and possibly increased yields. Time will tell. My elcheapo amazon mh bulb is pulsing from Blue to pinkish hues. Going to support my local hydro and pick up a digilux. I can't run hortilux as I have an older phantom digital ballast. 2/4 hydro store out of digilux. Ended up going with Ushio hilux amh-600. I'll break out the meter after this bulb gets a few dozen hours on her. Change saucers and risers to place each plant separately giving me flexibility to raise a pot as needed as the light will be getting raise soon. Right now it's at 14" 2/5 began lst on TB. Rain storm came through had brief boutique of high humidity in the high 90s but is now dropping. Raised lights up 2". The TB is developing a massive trunk, about the girth of a marksalot marker 2/6 Preflowers appeared of the TB. GG opening up now and able to see inside her structure. The mutation appears to have caused it to grow what appears like 3 solid mains, almost as if the really slow growth and mangled mess in the beginning may have topped itself. This is going to get interesting... 2/7 damn weather is killing me. My RH peaked at 98 and is now down to 67. TB clawing on a couple leaves. Keeping an eye out for nitrogen toxicity and will monitor her closely before taking action. Raised lights up 2" and replaced the standard oscillating fan with a tower oscillating fan. Moves a lot more air around the tent without disturbing the plants with nothing more than a breeze. On my quest for a dehumidifier. Like 1

Comment by Ga4rd2en0er Ga4rd2en0er 2 months ago 2/8 Preflowers appeared on the GG and BC. The only one not on the Preflowers train is the GSC but she is 10 days behind the others. Branches on all plants are solid and sturdy, humidity has been an issue and I am working on it. 2/9 raised lights another inch and GSC now has Preflowers 2/10 TB and BC must of took their roids last night cause each grew 3.5 to 4" over night. More Preflowers and budding sites appearing on all plantd. Stretch is coming the stretch is coming. Raise lights 4" and lifted up GG 2 inches. All plants avg 40k on lux meter. Rotating plants everyday now. 2/13 everybody is exploding upwards. I was focusing a lot of time on my other grow and I am pretty sure I missed my LST window with these ladies. My 4x4 tent is filling up rapidly. Had to raise my lights up another 3 inches with distance ranging from 12 to 18" from all tops. Just going to take group shots until pistols start appearing. Probably going to switch over to HPS over the weekend

2/17 installed blumats. The Dinafem Blue Cheese (bc) is growing into a monster. Budding sites seem fairly large. I've got a feeling she's going to be a heavy producer. 2/18 replacing my generic hood. Going to pick up 6" sun systems block party. Found a new one on Craigslist for $50. Driv8ng to get it now. No photo updates until Monday. Have a lot going on this weekend. 2/20 blockbuster installed and probably best 50 I've spent a a while. If you can pick one up at a good prive, highly recommend for 4x4 tent

2/27 height update TB 46" BC 44" GG 19" and GSC 41" It's been raining non stop past 24hrs. Humidity is killing me. Figures, we never get rain like it has this winter around here. I installed a DIY hepa filter on my intake. I purchased a metal 12x12x8 c-box on amazon, 12x12x1 merv 7 hepa filters, and piped it through the top of the tent. Building a light trap for it now. The intake is working as I'd hoped. I have a 6"can max pro pulling 420cfm and the tent was looking like it was going to cave in. This released 90% of the pressure off the walls of the tent and airflow is very strong. I went with merv 7 hepa filters as merv 7 is rated to block out molds. DIY filter box - 12x12x8 c-box $35, merv 7hepa filter $6. You will also need 8" ducting or can be rigged for flush mount on tent wall or ceiling and material to make a light trap suitable for your instalation method. The filters should last through 2 grows but they're so cheap I would just replace it each run. I found all parts on amazon.

2/28 today was first day I have not recorded any verticle change on the TB. GSC on the other hand stretched 3" last night and pulled dead even with the BC at 45" measured from soil. BC is absolutely loaded with budding sites at the top third of the plant. She's looking like a large yield in the making. The TB is almost nearly as impressive and her scent really came out today and I get pine, grapefruit, and grass. GSC is definitely exhibiting her trademark minty smell. BC and GG no real aromas yet. Upped a&b 1ml 3/1 BC aroma has arrived with all her funky cheese glory. No verticle gain again for TB and BC. I may be the luckiest jerk on the planet, 2 more inches and I would have had to learn how to supercrop. These 4 autos have filled out just about every cubic inches of usable space whilst still allowing good light penetration. Weather changed as well, major rain has moved on and humidity back to normal at 51%, but it hung in the high 80s for 3 days. 3/3 massive humidity swing and bottom fell out to 17% for a couple hours today and has stabilized at 30%. Weather predicting 40 to 50% next ten days. Praise things almighty! No verticle change 4 days BC and TB. GSC is now at 46" 3/4 BC is showing her blueberry lineage and starting to have some purple hue on stems and leaves which is normal per dinafems description 3/6 BC is now developing her berry smell, its absolutely intoxicating. i hadnt checked height for a couple of days and TB crept up and inch and GSC shot 3". i am now out of verticle space unless i can mcgyver a light rig. possible light burn on part of GSC.

3/8 Colas developing nicely, cleaned out reservoir and replenished. 3/9 purchased 5L canna coco and did not realize you need a special tool to open it. Not cool Canna 😠. Had to order one and forced to use flora trio until the wrench arrives in the mail. 3/10 Day 60 except GSC Day 50 - thankfully local hydro shop had wrenches in stock. going to flush plants and system and run Canna again. 3/13 Harvested my other grow, going to put full time effort on this one now. GSC has slowed and hopefully topped out at 50"

3/14 Random hot day here, lights on temps ran upto 88 for about a half hour, when I got here I increased fan speed and got temps stabilized at 78. Thankfully I run lights on at night. 3/15 Flushed and hand fed plants tonight mold and hermie check complete. TB and BC really started to fatten up. Used 16oz can to illustrate current growth. (label hidden, not intentionally trying to advertise, can remove pics if not in compliance) 3/19 GSC cola starting to fatten up, some of the hairs on all but GSC are starting to yellow. 3/20 BC main cola is 75% cloudy, no signs of ambers. Breeder says 10 weeks cumulative life span but i think she will run 80 to 90. TB still a lot of clear probably 85 to 95 days, GG is a wild card sue to her structure, and GSC buds aee swelling. Cold damp weather ahead. Carefullysprayed leaves only down with sm90 as preventative measure. Tomorrow starts week 11

3/22 Added DIY hepa box fan. Got a 20x20" box fan and duct taped a merv 11 hepa filter on it, hung it above planta to circulate air above the colas. All air is forced through the hepa. Got the idea from a life hack video, seems genius to me. $20 fan and $8 filter. 3/24 the GG little buds blew up last 10 days trichs are almost all cloudy on GG and BC and a couple amber spotted on BC as well. TB is still has a lot of clear trichs and the colas are still swelling and sticky and stinky. BC and possibly GG will put on flush sometime early next week and flsuh for 4 to 7 days unless plants tell me otherwise. 3/25 hand watered to run off

3/29 GG and BC are on flush, should run about a week. TB is about 50% cloudy trichs and GSC is 95% clear 3/30 mother nature is testing me. We've had temp swings from the 80s to the 50s and humidity swings from 76 to 21%. I can not isolate the elements from this grow and I have been spending hours with a headlamp and hps glasses scowering for mildew and bugs. I very carefully treated the plants with a 1:9 milk/water spray as a preventative since I have discovered wpm out in the yard 3/31 BC is yellowing out and probably chop her down in 24 to 48 hrs. My dumbass broke one of her lower branches so I trimmed it up and hung it in the drying closet. She definately took on the berry scented pheno. Upon close inspection of the trichs, I hope I didnt rush to flush. My handheld looked cloudy but under the digital on a stand I'm not entirely sure. 4/2 BC has been cut down. Will post harvest report once dried

Happy Harvest Day!

She was a lovely plant that my inexperienced self cut down 2 to 3 weeks early. The buds are completely covered in resin and trichomes but they were cut before they had the chance to fatten. Thus the buds are on the airy but dank side. The buds are very lacking in bag appeal but that was more than likely my fault. Smells of wild berries, mango, cheese/sour, with a mild skunk undertone. Tastes like sour fruity candy and absolutely delightful. Effects immediate headbanding with a euphoric energizing feeling along with a lightness of the body feeling (laying on the bed almost feels as if floating). About 45 min after smoking and its definately a nice balance of body and head and uplifting. One I would use for a social gathering with friends but not one that would require deep conversations (that make sense 😜)

I would definately grow this strain again and make sure it flowers out a full 9 to 10 weeks instead of 7. The trichs started to amber and I got too excited. She handled ll the nutes I threw at her with ease and was easy to dial in her feeding schedule and never ran into any major deficiencies. She grew to 44 inches out of a 2 gal smart pot with on demand Troph Blumat drip feed system

The seed company that I order from gave me two free blue cheese autos. I'm definitely interested in your grow. On my first grow I did some LST and some pruning, but was too afraid to really work with the girls to get them to grow the way I wanted them to. This time, I'm gritting my teeth and jumping in. I tied down my main cola on my girl scout cookies and blackberry (both autos). A day later and the growth is amazing. I do have an auto blue cheese in our tent. It just started week 3.

@Phedre, thats how I received my seed as well. Was a freebie and a great one! Her grow is completed, I'm splitting off a diary that had 4 different strains in one entry. I wish i would have LST her, she would have produced significantly more but she shot up so fast I didnt have the floor space to spread her out with 2 other large autos next to her. Can't wait to hear how your blue turns out.

I've never had blue cheese, so I'm looking forward to the end result. This is only my second grow, but I made a lot of mistakes on the first one. They turned out well anyway, despite me lol. This time I'm attempting to be attentive and see how the LST changes things.

They are looking god man, just wondering why do you think you chopped early? Based off trichomes?
Ga4rd2en0er
Ga4rd2en0ercommented8 years ago
@BiggestLittlehGrower, they didnt fatten up. Once dried, they were very "fluffy" but potent. Smokes great!

Looks like you cute at the right time by the Trichrome shot. Is your calendar accurate? Did you really cut them 2 weeks early ? 14 seems 2 weeks to long.
