I've potted into 11l pots and just going to allow them to spread their roots technically only day 13 today and I plan on topping tomorrow, then I will allow to veg another 2 weeks before topping again which I will then add the first scrog net I potted into the 11l early so it would be easier to handle on my own and now they can concentrate on growing
I've cracked a tropicanna ozz to add a 3rd plant to the tent hopefully fill up the canopy quicker
My new order has arrived so I've give a full gas to a friend and cracked a persian pie as the 3rd strain
Full gas is couple weeks ahead of the persian pie and tropicoz, this diary will mainly be for the full gas but will follow a similar schedule for the other 2 judging by the plant response as I go I will add pics of them all and log any differences in these comments.
I've topped and semi lollipopped in the attempt to slow the full gas down to allow the other 2 to gain some growing time I will concentrate more of the scrog to the full gas allowing it to cover a bigger portion of the canopy this should allow me to balance an even canopy surmise atleast another 3 or 4 weeks veg
Having issues getting the plant to feed down to cold outside temps had to install an external heat source to keep inlet air at an abient temperature I've made up a spray feed with microbial foliar spray, had a few issues with ph and lockout aswell so flushed and reset with the feed and gave a higher pH than I'd usually give of 6.8 my run off is now sat at 5.8 which is in range with the plant magic guidelines but I still want to raise it to approx 6.2
Heavily defoliated full gas to help slow the stretch to allow other 2 to fill out the canopy
Watered with ph 6.8 and because of molasses raised ec to 0.7, the benefit is it prevents salt build up and lockout and improves microbial life in the root zone, I've introduced molasses to fix a deficiency issue I've recored all the run off so I know what pH and ec the next feed will be and the full gas today has shown me pistils less than 2 weeks since I began to switch
Had an absolute mare this week with lockout and nutrient issues I discovered after loads of studying and investigating it was my ph pen broke I tried to calibrate it and realised straight away that because my pen was faulty I've mixed solutions with false reading hence the pH issues and lock out so Friday new pen and hopefully get this issue sorted luckily only 10 days into flower so time to turn things around fingers crosses
Still having a head ache with ph being too low in runoff tried baking soda managed get pots to about 5.5 tried paroxide tried high ph to counter balance low ph nothing has worked so dolimite lime or wash the soil and put into fresh soil ut I don't want to donthat really not at this stage I think I am in danger of a hermie but we'll see, I do have an idea so if it works I will report on it next week
I've managed to get the soil ph up into a better range not where I want so I've added dolomite lime into top soil and tilled in so next watering should raise the pH soil ph is approx 5.8 I want it around 6.2 bit things are going in the right direction I just hope the last 2 weeks don't cause hermie but time will tell
Finally got my soil ph into decent range added co2 with homemade dispenser and increased light from 200w to 300w, I changed my exhaust fan aswell runs more efficient and silent
Just been playing about with a DIY co2 generator with sugar water and yeast considering paying out for a better system and meter but at least I can still monitor to a degree but I don't think this co2 meter is up to much cop......
I've made a co2 bucket with an air pump still using sugar yeast 2x tomatoes and a potatoe puree'd 1x teaspoon active brewers yeast and 2.5 liters of water in a 5l bucket with sealed lid ratchet strapped shut sat on a 20cm square heat mat set on a thermostat at 24c to 27c temps sits about 26c for a prolonged co2 release levels have defo increased spiked quite high then settled approx 1200 to 1500ppm or the meter is wank but either way its adding co2 just for how long though ?
I've read up on the fungus method which last 6months so I'll be sorting that soon
So I'm about 10 days from harvest but I'm letting the plant dictate when I take her down, the plant magic lush will finish day 55 and i will give plants water till day 60 check trichomes I want approx 20 to 30% amber
Finished plant magic flush, flushed plain water til run off was about 0.6 to 1.0 placed into dark for minimum 72 hours will check trichomes daily after 72 hours till I'm happy then harvest approx 5 days
I ended up leaving for 5 days in the dark then harvested day 60 trichomes were 10 to 15% amber about 70% milky were a few clear still probably could push longer but needed the space I will check back in on harvest weight
