Tried to get some autoflower seeds going from a seed company associated with some famous people in the industry (took a break from gardening was trying to move) .....needless to say I had issues with their autoflowers in previous runs (non-viable seeds, hermies like a mother...errr father...err other). I tried to get 5 seeds going by soaking them in water for 48 hours and then placing them in a damp paper towel in a plastic bag for an additional 48 hours. I got tails put them in soil and they all either damped off or just........ so I'm done with those seeds and that seed company (oh their initials are Homegrown Cannabis Company their autos SUCK) So now going to do a photo run and spend more money in the dispensaries than I wanted. Dropped 4 seeds in water on 11/25, checked on them two days later and 3 of 4 had opened put them in paper towels on 11/27 and in a plastic bag on a paper plate under a heat mat in the dark. 11/28 went to check on them with no intent to plant but yeah all viable with taps longer than 2 cm so I placed two in cups with FFOF, and 2 in EB Stone Seedling mix with a dash of Great White. The theory is seeds have everything they need to grow for at least 2 weeks or more, FFOF is notoriously hot should have enough food for 4 weeks. Lets see which establishes a stronger healthier plant with the least amount of issues.

Well it is pretty obvious that the seeds just perform better in a hot soil. Maybe this isn't true of every seed but these seem to prefer having nutrients right away to start feeding, thought that the addition of liquid seaweed would make a difference you can see the rear right plant has pretty much slowed to a crawl and the right front has just about run out of nutes. Was hoping to keep them in the starter cups for a while longer but I don't see how that is going to work so next week we transplant........yep all 4 I don't throw out anything without trying to get the best out of it. So NOW we are going to try FFOF vs EB Stone Recipe 420 Potting soil!!!! Since these two little runts need food and have never touched FF, I'm going to pot these two in 1 gallon plastic pots and put in the 2x2 under the Spider Farmer SF1000, whilst transplanting the two Foxy Ladies (oh yeah this is going somewhere) into Ocean Forest.

I wasn't planning on transplanting this week but the two in the EB Stone Seedling mix need nutes immediately. The original goal was to run 3, 3 Gallon pots in the 4X2 but now I may have to change that plan the two seedling mix girls are just too far behind. I'm going to pot the two Fox Farms in 3 Gallon fabric pots and two EB Stones in 1 Gallon pots with Recipe420 potting soil. I added 1/2 cup of Earth Worm Castings and 1/4 cup compost, didn't take pictures of the roots but the Fox Farm roots were healthy and wrapped around the bottom of the container, the EB Stones were healthy but thinner. Planted each girl on the 14th and watered with Liquid Seaweed and Molasses ph to 6.5 ish, finally spread barley hay mulch around each pot.

I was hoping to go another week but decided to transplant early since the plants in seedling mix were so far behind the FoxFarm plants. I put the FoxFarm plants in 3 Gallon pots with a soil mix of FoxFarm Ocean Forest, EB Stone EWC, Compost, Organic Rice Hulls, and Pumice. The other plants were put in 1 gallon pots with Recipe420 Potting Mix with EB Stone EWC, Compost, and Recipe420 6-8-4 Recharge

Easy week, began with CalMag and began LST, at this point FoxFarm 1 and 2 and Recipe420 #1 have been topped, not topping Recipe420 #2 just LST. FoxFarm #2 is showing droopy leaves (it's going to get worse) the first sign of a lockout I think.

Really hit them with CalMag this week to address the deficiencies that were appearing. The Recipe420 plants are doing very well, I was originally going to leave them in 1 gallon pots but they are doing so much better than the FoxFarm plants that I am going to put them in 3 gallon pots and dump FoxFarm #2. I realize in a few weeks that the soil is too dense plus the FoxFarm soil just doesn't take to nutes as well as the Reipe420 soil.

This was the week from hell; originally I thought, "oh yeah FoxFarm all the way" and then the first feeding happened and the sheeeeet hit the fan. FoxFarm #2 went into lockout, I took runoff readings, hit her with CalMag and Recharge during the regular watering with Liquid Seaweed, Molasses, and Humic Acid. Really saw a lot of growth once I stopped using the manufacturer's suggestions for light distance and intensity and just used my PAR meter to adjust accordingly. Keeping the light distance at 24. Noticed an error with the SF1000 in the 2X2 so swapped her out with the Viparspectra P1000

Dumped FoxFarm #2 and replaced with Recipe420 #2 since it's a better plant, only flowering in the 4x2 and starting some Autos in the 2x2 so no room for 4 full sized plants. The plant was gifted to a novice with instructions to flush and reset. This week preparing for flower, added Bloom Khaos to the regime. Added a trellis net and weaved the plants through

Started the first week with a Compost Tea, followed up with the weekly CAlMag watering. Increased light intensity to 100% and moved the lamp to 24 above the canopy (mistake). Applied Boom Khaos twice a week foliar and still using IPM, ended the week with a watering with Recharge

Realized this week that I should not have moved the lights until necessary to get good coverage for stretch. Next time better scrog.

Cruise control week, just Recharge, Molasses, Seaweed, Humic Acid, CalMag, easy peasy, just watching them pack on weight. Started seeing Trich's low smell, some fungus gnats but I repositioned my lower fan and that should take care of that. Increasing the watering to keep up with demand.

According to the research that I have done this should be the halfway point for this cultivar. This was a easy week again, started the week with a regular watering of Liquid Seaweed, Molasses, Humic Acid and Recharge, had one additional water with CAlMag, by the end of the week the plants were starting to show signs of starvation!! I need to adjust the feed schedule these girls are heavy feeders. Ended the week by top dressing each plant with 1 Cup of EWC, .5 Cup Compost 2 Tablespoons of Flower Girl and 1 Tablespoon Seabird Guano. I brewed a compost tea with 2 Cups of Compost, 1 Cup of EWC, 30 Mil Molasses, 10 Mil Liquid Seaweed, 30 Mil Humic Acid, 30 Mil Yucca Extract, and 30 Mil Herculean Harvest. Changed the straw out and mixed new straw with organic rice hulls and the compost from the tea and applied this as a top dress.

Week 6 in the bag. Really noticing the difference between the FoxFarm soil and the Recipe420 soil. In the FoxFarm soil I am seeing Phosphorous deficiencies so I added Diamond Nectar to the watering schedule which has included CAlMag every week so this can't be a lock out issue pffft whatever I'm not seeing anything with the other plants. Added Silica to the watering schedule as well. Finally seeing a bounce back from the lack of food, monitoring the soil moisture daily and the Recipe420 plants take water almost daily, the FoxFarm soil (with the addition of organic rice hulls) really retains moisture and it shows in the thickness of the trunk. Pistils started changing colors and the tent is really starting to smell. The storms have been screwing with my humidity, I can't get it below 57% may have to get a bigger dehumidifier.

Finished week 7 no problems, one last CalMag and one last feed with Herculean Harvest, really smelling strong, no issues. Getting really frosty on Recipe420#1, R420#2 kept her green throughout and the FFOF phosphorus deficiency was caught in time. Last feed week and now just plan on plain water until she finishes up.

Checking Trich's about 2 weeks to go, plain water no nutes not trying to overwater or flush the medium, just keeping the temps and humidity in check until they are done. Smells terrific, fading nicely starting to see color all the way in the sugar leaves.

Week 10 in the books, the leaves are showing the fall fade i.e. the plant has used up all of the available nutes in the soil and is pulling from the leaves. Started using the microscope on the trichs and it looks like on day 69 that there is about a week to go so this maybe a 11 or 12 week flower.

Easy grow the FoxFarm plant yielded 53 Grams of bud and 14 of trim, the Recipe420 dropped 61 and 68 grams plus a 29 grams of trim. Like everyone else it seems my experience with FoxFarm soils are ....interesting the Recipe420 girls took nutes like a champ and the soil didn't get compacted stayed nice and airy, the FoxFarm soil is considerably denser retained water better but did not take nutes well AT ALL. It may be me but I'm going to try either my own mix or a different blend. No shade good soil just..weird. Chopped them and hung them whole in the GGT 4X2 dried them at 60-70 degree F, and 58-62% humidity for 10 days, trimmed and placed in CVault tasted one bud in the process and holy smokes she hits 😀 this aint no dispo stuff
