Really hit them with CalMag this week to address the deficiencies that were appearing. The Recipe420 plants are doing very well, I was originally going to leave them in 1 gallon pots but they are doing so much better than the FoxFarm plants that I am going to put them in 3 gallon pots and dump FoxFarm #2. I realize in a few weeks that the soil is too dense plus the FoxFarm soil just doesn't take to nutes as well as the Reipe420 soil.
@Thaiclee, cover the top soil to keep it moist and the microbial life active, helps with pest prevention as well. I've used organic rice hulls in the past for the silica but there is trace amounts of arsenic with rice hulls so I switched to hay.
