germinated by soaking in water for 24 hours then cotton wool for 24 hours and planted as soon as seed showing taproot. I didnt take any pics of germination sorry, it was planted along side another purple nuggets seed however that did not show any tap root or sign of crackinng, planted anyway but still not popped, will replace with something if its not up in next few days. These plants are going to run alongside my flowering 3 as I want a harvest before I finish off smoking my current grow. I dont think its gonna be a problem as there is plenty of ambient light for them for now and my current 3 wont get massive enough to dominate the tent fully. I am considering whether its worth tring to run 6 plants in this tent at some point, but I might be pushing it. I feel like 4 should be generally fine though.
initial leaves came up a bit deformed and twisted, but seen this before in a previous seed so just carried on, I think maybe the soil was a bit hot or I just give a bit too much water, I think second photo shows it wasnt a continuing issue which is like the other seed which did similar so I will just put it down to starting twinge and stay happy :) got a few more sprouts today as well, I think diary for each one if I can be bothered.
seems to be developing fine so far, as soon as the purple nuggets is down she will have full beams and I might have to tie down the old fashiond way as the other two plants will be in the way for a few weeks more by the looks of things. Looking forward to seeing what this one does :)
I pinned the plant down yesterday with a steak and she is looking really big already, there are like 5-6 branches now reaching for the light and the main stem was facing up again after 24 hours, growing like a dream so far. (Ignore the nute burned leaves they are on a different plant) Tent is a bit tight on space right now, she will have more room as soon as the nuggets is down. Ill take more pics soon peace.
I kinda cant believe how well this one has grown, only really the start of week 4 and every time I tie her down she is back up with 4 extra inches. Under full beams now I re jigged the tent. Happy days so far
pre flower ish-stage no blooms nutes yet just myco and grow was worked in from the start. I might get rid of some of the thin stems early this time and focus attention on thick branches.
I brought out the net last week as all the other plants came down, this one is going massive so I have adjusted to give more light across the canopy and she is due first lot of bloom nutes next week. The net will come back off too at some point soon I just wanted to maximise the spread of these dominant branches.
update to say this plant is looking pretty nice so far, giving first lot of nutes last day of this week which makes me a bit nervous but so far so good.
Oh and the double bud is cool I reckon :)
pretty dramtic change in how the plant looks this week I did a big defoliate and gave bloom nutes and plant does seem to have reacted badly, however the fade is quite attractive and I am potentially getting closer to breeders harvest dates so I will just keep trucking and see what happens next. There is no bad smell or obvious signs of death other than the grey/brown or yellowed out fans ive mostly removed, so I will keep assessing things each week and if I need to cut my losses realistically she can come down any point from now and its no big deal, would rather see some signs of the trichs maturing though, plant smells really nice when disturbed, not sure if this was a feed issue or general stress issue im nto toally sure why this happened like this but I will maybe adjust the feed schedule again for this plant if I do it again.
There havnt been any major issues this week the plant seems a bit static in development but trichs look clear/mily mix so will be leaving as is for now. Really unique smell quite soapy almost but only when disturbed. The bigger budsites worry me for any rot/mould but I cant see any signs as of today and im happy with how the airflow seems to be, so I cant see any reason not to keep her going for now.
She looks good in photos, like nice fade. The leaves on my plants look terrible when they start to flower but the bud is top shelf, I just cut them bad leaves off a few at time, and the plant will put out new green leaves.
Looks like she might finish early 60-70 days just like the instructions say lol.
If I get 60 day harvest I might run this strain again immediately because it grows like a dream, does look ready now to be honest keeping an eye on the trichs can see her surviving another week or so really at max, the S.O.D.K next to this plant is taking over the tent so ill need the room eventually anyway. These Mephisto seeds really live up to the hype for me so far :)
