Topped at weeks 4 and 5. At end of week 5 leaves had slight discolouration on some and I determined a calcium deficiency because I had been using filtered water and the plant was not getting enough nutrients. Have Marphyl which is a phytoplankton based fertilizer and the plant stopped having any additional discolouration on leaves

Seems to have gotten extra bushy over the last week - and I’ve been so busy with the holidays I haven’t had time to tackle thinning it out at all yet. Will do that in the next few days and post some more pictures then.

I did thin out quite a few fan leaves, a lot more could probably come off but I didn’t want to stress her too much. And I’m also nervous to take too many at a time. I’ll do it again in a couple weeks. I’ve changed to a 12/12 light schedule now also, so next week we’ll see how it starts to progress towards flowering. Again, not 100% sure as it’s my first but I’m assuming it’s ready to start flowering at this point.

I’m struggling a bit with a lot of humidity in my tent today. I have fans going but the water was dripping down the sides of the tent when I got home from work today. I left the vents on the sides open to let more air in and the humidity levels seemed to drop quite quickly. Hopefully I won’t continue to have it like that. Last week I switched over to a 12/12 light schedule and defoliated quite a bit. Seems like she grew even more afterwards and there are a lot of small pistils growing and popping up all over the plant. The leaves are such a vibrant color right now, they look beautiful. I’m excited to see how the flowering process goes.

The flowers came along really nicely this week. I removed some more leaves along the bottom and inside of plant. Mid week I noticed come yellow/brown on the tips of some leaves and I’m thinking it may be burn from the light as the plant got quite tall for the tent. So I raised the light a bit higher and by the end of the week the discolouration didn’t seem to progress any more. Hopefully solved the issue. Pretty happy with it so far!

She's looking good! The sudden growth is normal after flipping to 12/12, usually happens for 2-3 weeks max and then slows considerably or stops all together. A word of advice if I may. Now that your in flower it's usually best to aim for less than 60% humidity, and if possible between 45-55%, and late flower 35-40%. Are you running an exhaust fan or just circulating fans inside the tent? An exhaust can help tremendously with humidity and cheaper than dehumidifier (usually).

@Grow_for_Happiness, thanks so much. That’s actually great advice. I have an exhaust fan that I keep putting off setting up, because I wanted to vet it out through a window. But I will definitely get on that and set it up this weekend. I have just been using circulating fans. So we’ll see if the exhaust will help with the humidity.

@Grow4Releaf, I haven’t opened up yet - but I’m going to trim some of the tan leaves off to let more of the light in, it’s pretty bushy right now, so I know not all of it is getting the light it probably needs.

Bravo

@Ziocannabis, thanks so much for the tips. I thought maybe I should thin out some of the leaves but I didn’t quite know how much or where to start, so your advice helps a lot!

Hello! Looks pretty good, a little tip burn is generally normal.. may have a slight deficiency creeping in with the yellowing between the veins of the leaves and thin bladed new growth.. wouldn't nuke them but as you go later into flower maybe increase the ppm of your feed water or fertilize slightly more often maybe? Not sure what your fertilization schedule is but when I was using bottled nutrients I used RO water so I had to add calmag every watering pH balanced but alternating with the same calmag RO water with fertilizer as well but the more often I fertilized the more diluted I would make the fertilizer to avoid excess. If you still have problems id check the runoff pH or soil slurry pH test. Hopefully that's helpful 😅 but she's pretty healthy I'm sure you'll have a harvest!
