Thatoneguy756 Used .75c/f big roots soil and about .15c/f happy Frog soil in a 7 gal potter. Directly watering seeds with watering spout. 4 days in and both seeds have germinated and broken the surface! Switching to 18hr light cycle from 24.
Running a vivosun 1000w led grow light, and curious about how bright I should be running it for sprouts and how do i know when i need to raise or lower the brightness? First time indoor grower. Growing 2 plants is a 2x2 zeny grow tent.
I use photone and set my light for 8Dli for the 1st few days then increase it to 10Dli for a week and keep increasing every week until I get the plant to take about 35/40dli. That is from my phone, its took me a while to find the sweet spot for my lights. It takes a few grows to figure out what the plants can and can't take at various stages of the grow.
If you have a smart phone download yourself a ppfd meter app, such as photone. That way you can measure the light in either ppfd, DLI, or lux and you will know how much light you are giving your plant. A seedling only wants around 150 ppfd.
Vivosun does not have a 1000 watt led lamp. Look at their official website, search for your model led and check the manual with all the specific information and instructions about your lamp.

Thatoneguy756 Everything looks good for my first real grow. the bigger plant is taking off fast, averages a few cm a day. enough to notice between maintenance. The little one still has me worried. Hopefully it finds itself and starts growing but seriously thinking about doing a transplant to a smaller pot so it gets more nutes.

Thatoneguy756 So the split didnt graft back, but it healed strong. Going to transplant to separate containers this week. Branch training is going well, really help bush it out. Im realizing the things im doing wrong, thanks to the comments ive gotten. All in all i feel proud of my grow! I think its doing good for my first time. Please keep the info coming. If im doing something wrong please let me know, I am still learning.
How are you friend! I wanted to ask why you put them in the same pot? And also is your pot really 27L?
I'm not very experienced but I'm sure they need atleast 1ft■ of there own space to thrive.
Anyway hope your grow goes well! Happy new year :)
And also, I have recently learnt myself that clones and seedlings definitely don't need much light at all. I learnt this the hard way haha. I think the best idea is to lower your light intensity until you see your plants stretching (lots of space between new nodes) then raise the intensity. Look on the net for symptoms of too much light intensity so you can see what it looks like.
Try keep your light at 18inches no matter the intensity. Again I am a noob but this information should be pretty solid way to start. These are things I have learnt by making the mistakes.
