NB1 is starting to show a little purple in a few of her buds. This is cool for me as I've grown many strains with purple in their name but none have actually turned purple before. Her smell is evolving to a little more earthy with the sour candy remaining on the back end. Her buds are getting chunky as well. I suspect im at the 2 more weeks mark with this one, but i always let mine go a little longer because i enjoy a sedative like effect. NB2 is pushing hard on her buds. They seem like they're going to being longer colas than her sister's, I suspect they'll be more airy as well. The smell coming off of her is much more burnt rubber like and skunky. Her development also feels slower than her sister, which makes me think the effect is going to be more sativa like. I'm still happy with her no matter how she turns out, she's come a long way as the runt and has done better than expected.
I'll start checking trichs at the end of next week to see how things are looking with NB1. I wish i could get some shots of them, but im not talented enough with my little pocket scope to take pictures. I learned I prefer to harvest when the trichomes are around 30% to 40% amber, for a much more sedative like effect. Not only that but the high also feels more complete than harvesting earlier, maybe it's the extra cbn that adds to that, idk.
I watered with 3 gallons plain water on 2/14, and the soil still feels moist but not wet. The plants are drinking more which is great.
The lights are 13 inches above NB2 which is just a tad too close, I may end up raising that side of the light this week as NB2 always looks extra tired before lights out.
