Brother "grower," and since we're on the same page with this Purple Skunk strain, I've taken a very detailed look at your progress, even though your photos aren't the best. First note, your phenotype is somewhat different from mine and some other "growers" who are currently working with Purple. If you look closely, your leaves from the first 4 weeks haven't been the massive Indica leaves that you can see in my grow, which are XXL leaves, and just this week I had to put a Mammoth trellis on them, those elastic ones with very large spaces, just to lift those huge leaves and let the lights shine down on the secondary branches that are coming out. Second point, I don't see the purple tones in your buds that are already visible in my first pistils during pre-flowering. Third, from what I see in your photos, I’d like to know what lights you’re using in your grow... I see that you’re already in full flowering, and what has me baffled is that modest size in your grow. I see you're using the basics from Bio Bizz organic, and it’s very noticeable that even though they’ve developed later, you’ve had some re-vegetation. You’re giving it a 14-hour cycle, and that’s one of the strangest things I’ve read. Why is that a not very normal cycle... that you can give 12/12 to an auto, you already know you’ll end up with shorter and less developed buds. Even if you had opted for 16/8, that would be a cycle that isn’t bad for certain autos, but a 14/10 cycle I’ve never seen, and I’d like to know from your experience if it’s worked well for you, as I think 14 hours of light is something "neither here nor there"... neither good nor bad... I’ve never tried it, and I don’t think I will. Third, I see that your grow is very experimental. Is this your first time doing a "grow"!? If you want and feel like it, you can check out my diaries and ask me questions if you think it’s necessary. In the end, I’m looking forward to seeing your finish in this grow, recommending that for your next one, you have at least a minimum cycle of 18/6 for autos and that you try some mineral inputs like HESI, which are not only easy to use but also very effective for great yields.
