This plant has been stressed as fuck through its early life. Starting with early overwatering and nurtient hot, low ph soil, which leading to nitrogren toxicity and other issues.
To address the nitrogen toxicity, and knowing i was starting another round of seeds, I removed all of the small plants fan leaves, leaving only 6-8 exposed internodal sites. The plant basically looked like a slightly leafy stick, but after a couple weeks it recovered and began growing multiple growth tips, and allowing the new batch of seedlings to catch up.
My theory was that the plant was storing excess nitrogen in its large, dark green curled up leaves, and by removing them and flushing the soil, i was flushing the nitrogen as best as possible. the theory worked and the new growth began uncurling and growing happily. just took a long time, which i have no problem with.
vegged a long time to eventually fill out the canopy on a 5 gal fabric. ive topped, trained, supercropped and trimmed this lady more than any plant deserves, and she just ate it all and asked "whats next?"
